I'm hoping it doesn't go too far beyond that because I'll be afraid to not have enough favours and OOT contents for extra bags. It was a while ago i found them... most of the stuff at Target now is Halloween... but if your in the area check it out! We only invited 22 people - I am only unsure about two of the couples so it will be 18, 20, or 22 --- So I am buying stuff for 22 --- If I am over buying it is only by a couple so no biggy! How many do you have booked already?

I like those silver ones! How many people are you inviting?

Akkk I can't believe it is OCTOBER already hahaha -- but I not feel behind or stressed.. I think I know everything will come together and I don't have to panic (YET) LOL How many people are going to your wedding??? I have actually never been to St. Lucia either I AM SO EXCITED - sometimes I think I am more excited to go there then for the wedding - hahahah Quote: Originally Posted by m8chow Ooo when did u get the mustache tags? The other invite I was thinking of is just the boarding pass idea that a lot of other DW brides have done. We'll see which one my fiance agrees with, too. For favors, we're doing luggage tags which will double as escort cards. I found some at michael's and with the coupon, it makes it less expensive Thanks again for sharind ideas! No problem - always happy to help!!! Post pictures no matter what you end up doing!! There are some templates floating around for the boarding passes.. lots of girls have done them so I am sure you can get some great advice one how! Which luggage tags from Michael's did you get?? I know they have the silver ones they sell is a set of 10. Those are pretty - I almost used those for my STDs --- Originally I wanted to do luggage tags for the STDs but the ones I had found got discontinued (ordered from 4 websites that all let me place my order then just never sent them - ANNOYING) So I almost got the silver ones.. then came up with the idea that I actually ended up making. One of my gifts that I am sending out to everyone is passport books -- this is my "don't forget to get your passport" reminders. Since I didn't do the tags for STDs I am also including some with their passport books -- For the ladies I got tags from Michael's they have in the $1-$3 section... they are fun colors and designs (I still need an i but I have given up hope on finding one LOL - For the guys I got mustache tags from Target a while ago!

If you don't mind me asking, how did you ship and around how much was the cost of shipping your save the dates? I saw a cute idea of message in a bottle invitation. You inspired me to maybe do something more exciting for invitations. Happy planning and thanks for sharing your ideas. Oh Exciting - sounds like your planning is going really well!! I haven't done much of anything besides my STDs and buy things for my Welcome Bags and other gifts for my guest! They were about $3 each to send - I am in MA and had to send them to MA, MD, CO, NH, & CT. I sent via USPS Good luck with your Invites - I hope you do MIB those are really cute! I am doing those as part of my favors. Make sure you post pictures

I had a whole list of questions to ask her but she pretty much covered everything in her script. I did still have a couple of questions that I was able to ask at the end. There was lots of info she said she would be email me so that I can take a closer look at some of the things we talked about - I haven't gotten any emails yet. She said we will have a follow up call (but we didn't pick a time/date for this) and said that I will be able to email her any time I need to.

How is all your planning going?
  12. I have made some great connections on BDW! I Love all my new friends. There just seems to be a lack of Sandals Brides out there. I am getting married next October at Halcyon in St. Lucia. I just had my first phone call with my WC yesterday - it was good. Got some questions answered, which was good. I'm just finding myself to be very indecisive with everything wedding! Anyone else feeling this way? Hope to make some new Sandals Friends
  13. Hello to all !! I am hoping any of the girls that have already gotten married are still around?!?!?! I am getting marred next year at Sandals Halcyon in St. Lucia. I have been planning for a long time and still have a while to go but keep going back and forth of what I want to do. I just had my first phone call with my WC yesterday. It was helpful - I am just being indecisive with everything about my wedding!!! Hope to hear from you

Hey - not sure who you are responding too so in case it is me - I have my first convo with my WC this week - I have a lot of questions for her! I hope to be able to make some more decisions after I get a better feel of how everything goes on the wedding day. I think smaller is better for lots of reason...less stressful in the way that hopefully it is less drama amongst less personalities One of my ceremony location options is a gazebo --- I might end up there.. wont pick til I get to the resort and see all the options

Most importantly, I keep going back and forth on videography. I am so cheap but I know deep down I should do it since so much of my family isn't coming. (We only invited immediate family.) I just have so much trouble thinking about spending a thousand dollars on video! I could get the cheap sort of cheesy resort videographer for $450, ceremony only. Or, a nice short form 25-50 minute video, four hours of coverage for $900 after external vendor fees... or six hours of coverage, short form video, and highlights video for around $1,300 after vendor fee.... that amount of money makes me want to faint! I almost just want to give someone a flip camera but I know that probably isn't a good solution. How about you?? Ohhhh your talking to the right chick about OOT bags.. what kind of bags did you get.. what are you putting them??? I am O B S E S S E D with my bags hahaha as for the video..... I haven't even thought about doing it... while I do think it might be nice to have one - I would never watch it so I can't see spending a lot of money on something that will never get used..... Will you ever watch it? Will having it to watch make you feel happy? Will you see it lying around and only think.. that was an expensive paper weight?

Yes There is a group of us that keep in touch on here and I am the only one going to St. Lucia... everyone else is Jamaica, Mexico, or DR I think.... Except tyrebride2b2013 she is going to Beaches on T&C. If you look up the thread 'any other 2014 brides getting a start' or something to that effect she post on there all the time.
