Awwwwww I LOVE it - cute and subtle! People can still use the bag again without feeling like they are advertising your wedding! I did see the multi pack but they also have Blue and Green ones that only come in 1 color per case, and I don't remember seeing those colors in the store.. I know I saw the red and orange ones. Do you know if you can return items to the store that you bought online?

LOL - I have a hard time packing one bag for a weekend and I'm not high maintenance - I just never know what I wanna wear ahead of time. I have NO idea how I am going to pack for two weeks AND bring all this stuff without bringing waaaaay too many bags. My FI is going to kill me for sure!! The only thing I keep telling myself to make it all okay (which I know is a lie haha) is that I am going somewhere warm and tropical - I wont need a lot of clothes cause I'll be in bathing suits and cover ups the whole time.... right? hehehe I really want to meet everyone in the lobby as they arrive.. but I don't want to not be able to do stuff cause I have to sit in the lobby too much. So I am hoping everyone (at least for the most part) will come on the same day... I don't mind blocking one day out .. I figured I can hang out at the pool closes to the lobby and just go to the lobby around the time that each couple will be showing up. You could do something really cute with tumblers. If you do the individual packs of stuff like aspirin and pepto you could easily put a few in each inside the tumbler with a letter and other small stuff. Cute and Compact - I like it!! I thought about towels but I know the resort provides them and I am sure they are nicer then ones I could find at a price I would be willing to pay - so that is one thing I am not adding! I think it is a good idea to have people pack stuff for you, if they don't mind. I would do this but I want to keep things a surprise so I will just have to figure it out on my own : ( The dinner party is a good idea too. How many tumblers would you need? Oh - those are the ones I saw at the store... I was so tempted, but didn't get them! I would probably do more then one color if I get them so that is perfect! My concern with them is they are bulky - how many do you have to bring to your location? That logo is so colorful it would work on the cups... It is going to look really good on purple bags!

I don't plan on bringing any clothes so it will all fit in my luggage ; ) hehehe Seriously, I am just going to have check an extra bag (or two). I'm just going to have to be a nifty packer to make it all fit in as little space as possible.

P.S. Which tumblers did you get? I have been debating getting some. Are you using the same log on these as on your bags?

Cute!!! What color are the bags you are using? I had a similar thing with my FI about our STDs. When my original idea didn't work out because the item I needed for them was discontinued (even though 4 websites let me place and order even though they didn't have them in stock *arg*) I kept mentioning other ideas to him or sending him pics of things I could use - he finally said "cute" to something so I jumped right one it! hhaha

Okay - so I just went threw all of the stuff that I have purchased so far for my welcome bags. There were actually things that I forgot I had HAHA - I then put the stuff in both of the bags to see how it all fit so far. The smaller bag - I was able to >fit< everything in... it was kind of tight but it fit. The larger bag everything fit fine. The items that takes up the most room are the sun hats. I just came up with a cute idea that might work. . . I am hoping to meet everyone in the lobby as they arrive (depending on how spread out this ends up being). If I do this then I can leave the hats out of the bags and just put them on Everyone's heads as we greet them. (kind of like a lei if we were going to Hawaii) Or The resort will be putting the bags in everyone's room for me. I can still keep the hats not in the bag and just have them lay them next to the bag. In playing with the bags I realized that the smaller bags might be better for the beach anyways (I assume (hope) everyone will be using them while in St. Lucia as beach bags). They have an almost plastic coating on them that will probably be easier to whip the sand off. Thanks for helping me through this Ladies : )

I think your probably right! The smaller ones are nice! I think they are more of a size that someone would use again.. as a grocery bag or something... I don't plan on putting our names or wedding date on them so I hope people will use them. There might be an issue with going overboard : ( tooooo late! HAHA

I like the napkins! Where did/are you getting them from?

With almost exactly a year to go it sure sounds like you have a lot accomplished!! Plum and Ivory are a great combo! Are you doing embroidered cloth napkins or printed paper? I hadn't thought about doing special napkins... (I need to get off this site.. too many great ideas!) Are you doing welcome gift bags or are you looking for favors?

Those look like nice bags.... I am (of course) having a bad dilemma! I purchased ones @ Christmas Tree Shop.. really nice huge canvas bags with a zipper for about 4 bucks a piece. I just recently was looking at items for sale from other brides on here and someone was selling bags that looked almost identical to the once I already had. She was asking $ 1 each and with shipping they were about 2 bucks a bag. I thought for sure I would just return the ones to CTS but the bags are a little different and I don't know which ones I like better. The second set I got are the same length but not as tall and do not have a zipper, which I like about them. I kinda of like that the second ones are smaller because that might more of a size that people would use again. I don't think I will have a hard time getting all my stuff into either of them. So I'm stuck (sorry for the rant) haha Good tip about the transfers! I already bought the stuff to do a stencil BUT I'm scared to do anything to them (and of course I need to pick a bag first *sigh*) AND I love your hangover helper and Mamajuana! Super cute. I wanted to add alka seltzer day after remedy... but they don't seem to make it anymore. I did find this stuff on amazon called Drinkin Mate. It has mixed reviews but I think I will end up getting it because it's cute. I didn't think to add alcohol with it, but I love the idea!

Oh cool .... Once you send out your STDs what are you going to work on next? I have the prototype of my STDs done... I need to get my butt in gear and finish making them - I will be sending them out in the next couple of weeks. Ekk so excited : ) haha

Also, is anyone giving your man a wedding gift the day of your wedding? If so, what did you get or plan to get? I have read all the post on this site - just curious what you all might be doing. . .

Speaking of Welcome Bags. What are you ladies putting in them that is unique?

Oh excellent your STDs are done - did you mail them out already and everything ? Welcome Bags can be really cute and simple or you can go big! I may not be the best person to get advice from if your interested in going simple LOL I have become totally consumed with my welcome bags .. I think about them allll day long. If you want cute and simple - something like a welcome letter from you and your FI is nice - you can add simple things like bottle water and snacks (although this might be unnecessary if you are staying at an AI) A lot of brides include what they call "Hang over Kits" or "Oh Shit Kits" which includes individual packs on Tylenol, pepto, emergan C, and things like that. Also, "Survival Kits" with things like bandages, bug spray, chap stick, and the list goes on. Other ideas - flip flops, hats, mugs, sunglasses, key card holders, pashminas. . . I really could keep going! If you do a search on here for "OOT bags" and/or "Welcome Bags" on this site you will find a ton of posts with all kinds of ideas. Once I have time to put a list together I will post it with all the things I am including. If you decide to do them - I'd love to share ideas! Not everyone does them or finds them necessary - My personal opinion is that I am asking friends and family to spend a lot of time and money to come to my wedding. While they are all coming on their own accord I still feel like I want them to know how very much it means to us that they made this effort for us. So while I am spending a lot of time and money on these bags I feel like it really is the least I can do! Again, just my feeling about them : ) If your not into the bags - I nice letter of Welcome and Thanks can be special!
