  1. Just returned from the post office! take that STDs hehehe The lady at the PO said "wow these are really nicely packaged" I mentioned they were my STD and we had a fun little convo about what I made. I told her my FI hates the address labels I made because the PO would hate them... she said they were cute! Then put ugly stickers on the boxes... Glad I took a pic before I left!! Pics up next - one moment please : ) hahah
  2. LADIES! I am going to be sending my STDs out TODAY even if it kills me!! I need a favor though. . . . Could you all remind me next time I get married to just do paper STDs in regular envelopes - I can't deal with this again!! LOL I'll post pics of my packaging when I'm done... but first I need to go buy more tape *SIGH*
  3. They are going out TODAY - I just have to wrap them in the shipping paper and put the labels on. . . then off to the post office I go!! Yay
  4. maybe contact this seller http://www.etsy.com/listing/109351733/paper-flower-embellished-with-glass and send her the picture and she can make it?
  5. No idea where to buy it -- the netting part I'm sure you can find a differnent pre made one at michaels or ac moore or somewhere on the net... it looks like the flowers are paper and the middle parts I have seen at michaels before in the aisle with the floral tape and/or wedding

  7. good evening Ladies : ) Oh I don't know I assumed there was something after "Junior Member" but I have no idea hahha The stamp did come from Michael's --- it is actually two - the heart is it's own.... the saying was in the stamp aisle and the heart is in a three pack in the aisle with all the 1-3 dollar items I'd be happy to give pointers - is there something in particular you are looking to make at the moment? That is cute to have all the girls do barefoot sandals : ) Mmmhhhmmm - I'd be surprised if you didn't find anything there you like!! Patriot place is huge and as a ton of stores there so if there are other things you are looking for it is a nice outlet to go to Very Pretty!!!!! Wahoooooooooooo!! I am the only one I know - or for that matter meet that goes by Kimberly - which is part of the problem I guess... "everyone knows someone named Kimberly but doesn't go by it" I get that all the time for a reason from people who always call me Kim even though they know I hate it *sigh* hahah I am always at Michael's and AC Moore. I'm a touchy feely person so while I do buy things online sometimes I prefer to go to the store... I always don't always have an idea of what or how to do something I am looking to make - I go to the store and when I see something I think I can use I go from there. We will be there for two weeks - my wedding is on a Wednesday - I know most everyone will be staying a week(ish) - I have included a little note in my STDs that says "there is a 3 night minimum stay - so please save the dates of 21-24th) - I figured it they stay longer they will probably add a day or two on to each end of that - we will have 4 or 5 days before most people get there and 4 or 5 days after they leave. Are you doing a website or any mass emails? Or maybe even on your invites - say something like "Our wedding will take place on (date) followed by our honeymoon in (location)." or "we look forward to spending time with you in (location) up to our wedding day and then spending time with each other for our honeymoon" or are you sending out an agenda of events? Put it on there listed as Our Honeymoon (Date - Date) I think if it is really important to you to have some alone time with your new hubby after your wedding it is better to put it out there to everyone a head of time so people know to expect you to be MIA after the wedding day and they don't feel like you abandoned them after they came to be with you. I think for me it is probably not necessary BUT I am doing them because although I have no idea what my invites are going to look like I have a cute idea for my RSVPs : ) Awesome!!! Hey another Boston Lady : ) Hclibby and I are both in the Boston area! Welcome to the board!!! No worries about feeling behind - my advice is to make a list of everything - put it on a calader start with things you know need to be done by a certain date then divide up the other things in a way where you aren't ever doing too many things at one time. It will all come together!! As for drama - Just smile and nod Hehehe
  8. Thank You! It was pretty simple (minus the extra things I did just to make it difficult on myself - but where not necessary) I'd be happy to give you a breakdown of what I did when you get to making something - if that would help.
  9. Hhaha yeah - I am very crafty! I love doing stuff like this (even when it makes me wanna bang my head into a wall) I actually make crafts and stuff like floral arrangements (silk and real) and lot of other stuff to sell.. .. and jewelry so I feel like people will expect something like this from me. Good thing I think its fun hahaha AND Thank You for saying so! : )
  10. It is worth the drive if you have some things you NEED for your wedding .. and a little extra pocket change to get yourself some things hahah
  11. I was in a DSW a while back... in the clearance section I found these most adorable yellow clutches for something like 6 bucks each... I bought them in the hopes that I would find more at another DSW I am always near..... I didn't find them - so i ended up returning them and skipping the clutch idea... (well I kept one for myself teehee) Maybe check there? Do you ever get down to Patriot Place in Foxboro... there is a Charming Charlies there... have you ever been... I know we have talked about it on here before... I bet you could find clutches and jewelry there - for great prices.....
  12. The first type of box I was going to use didn't work out... I found these today - This is how I am sending them out - The boxes will get wrapped and labeled - (will post when I get to that part). Scent packets to get the Tropical Vibe going on. . . A piece of tissue and the STDs tucked in nicely. I stamped the inside of the box top... awww heehe I had to get two styles of boxes as they only had half as many in each style then I needed... both are cute! (sorry the pics suck... my phone apparently takes bad photos in this light)
  13. HAha well you're one of the few!!! I don't know why people do this with Kimberly - names like Jessica and Jennifer are the same type of name and I never hear people automatically call them Jess and Jen .... I just like Kimberly better - why is that so hard HAHAHA
  14. So I think I am cheating myself out of post counts but this multi post thing sure does make it easier when you have 10,000 post to get through HAHA Quote: Originally Posted by hclibby1982 Thank you, I'm feeling better this morning. Cheaply works out well...lol I have no idea what I am going to do for invites... my goal is to send those out in October so I have a couple of months to make them..... Once I get the STDs in the mail I will be able to start brainstorming invite ideas . . . . I think they have to be something special now or it will just be a let down! hahah Quote: Originally Posted by MissJali Can I pleaseeeee get one?? Ugh I wnat to go to St. Lucia now! I originally was going to reserve a spot at the japanese restaurant for 24 people but Im thinking maybe I should take advantage of the free rehearsal dinner with a set menu and do the japanese restaurant another night with the people that won't be at the rehearsal dinner (since it would only be immediate family and the bridal party) What do you girls think? Umm did you say INCLUDED - Heck yes you should do it : ) One of the things I get included is a cocktail and app receptions for us and 6 guest... I can pay for extra people but I am going to use that as a nice mini party with us and our parents (his are married to each other by mine are both remarried so there are 6 Parents) Take all the inclusions you can get!!! We looked at photographers, figured out an invitation design and picked out our colors! Cutest moment was when I asked "what should our colors be?" He looks at me with the most perplexed serious face "we have to pick out colors???" I start cracking up and he goes "I'm sorry!! I had no idea! Really! I don't know these things!!" Luckily I don't mind if he doesn't care about colors, flowers or invites but he actually gave a lot of input which i'm happy about. I love bright colors so was thinking along the lines of fuschia or coral but they are "too pink" for him. He wants blue and I half jokingly said "and orange?" Half joking because blue and orange are the Mets team colors and we are die-hard baseball and Mets fan. But I do also love orange cause it's so bright. I google inspiration boards for him (and again he was like "whoa, what are inspiration boards?" lol) and we decided to do lighter shades of blue and orange to fit the tropical destination ... so to be fancy we're calling it "teal and tangerine" lol That is awesome you got some Wedding Talk Time!! Love the colors - I really like the hint of dark purply red color in the bottom right hand pic... I think it adds "just the touch" Not sure if you are thinking of an accent color but if you do... hehehe Quote: Originally Posted by vas2014 How have to brides book you Wedding packages? Those with wedding party what are girls wearing? Short/long dresses? Casual? Haven't picked yet but we've been trying both long and short chiffon. are your guys wearing? Full jacket and ties? Button ups? Etc.etc? We can't decide. Thinking of linen suits but just vest not suit jacket. Maybe just the linen pants and a linen shirt. Oy..just don't no. FI is worried about being hot he is always hot. Guys wearing shoes? Mine are gonna have too he refuses to go barefoot? What about flower girls/ring bearer? I have NO Idea what I am wearing... I saw a dress online I really like... if I end up with that I wouldn't really call it a beach dress - as long as I don't end up in something heavy and non breathable - I'm good : ) I plan on doing barefoot sandals for the ceremony and wedges for the after dinner/dancing/party - until I go barefoot again from dancing HAHA No wedding party Not sure about the Mr. he keeps changing his mind.. it will for sure be beige linen pants and a white shirt... he has mentioned doing a jacket... no jacket... a vest... and probably something else hahaha - He will wear shoes I'm sure .... he hates being barefoot in public (even on the beach) No kids Quote: Originally Posted by lorcas I though the same thing about lace until I found a very light laced dress. Sooooo if it is easier to type Rayn I don't mind that at all
  15. Thank You very much! The pearl letters on the ribbon are self adhesive but I was concerned they might come off from being shipped and handled so I decided to dab a little glue on them before putting them on the ribbon.... then of course some glue would ooze out the sides a little (no matter how little I tried to use) so I had to put the glue on with a toothpick then with a different toothpick clean up the edges....... in the long run I am sure this was a good idea but DAMN did it suck!! ahaha Don't even get me started on the wonderful time I had tying the ribbons I am glad they are finished for Sure!! I think for my invites I am just going to call people and be like "so yeah we invite you - you coming or what?"
  16. My Keepsake - Save The Dates Not the best picture - I will have to take some better ones for sure!
