So that will be on the 18th of September this year! Exciting moment for us We go in for our consultation on the 16th, and then get married at 3:00 on the 18th at city hall! Just our parents, my grandmother and his brother and girlfriend will be there. We are going out for dinner afterwards, but that's it. We were going to try to get away to NYC or the Bahama's for a mini- honeymoon, but we decided last night to get a puppy instead! (funny, because we just had a pregnancy scare, so I said that because we aren't having a baby, we are now getting a puppy instead- he said practice makes perfect- so we have successfully raised a cat for the past 7 years, now we will have a puppy, and then he said the next step will babysitting a kid for 3 weeks haha- which will be a challenge for him, but for me it will be totally fine!). Anyways, so that is our next big steps- legal wedding and a puppy! I have already asked two girlfriends to be my bridesmaids, but informally. So my next big wedding thing is to ask them officially, in a cute way, and actually upgrade one of them to matron of honour. (Since my BFF can't make my wedding because she is a teacher, and she already accepted the MOH title, which she can have for our AHR in October 2014). Deposits were due on the 20th of September, so we have 15 people confirmed, with another 5 who will be finding their own way out to Mexico. I couldn't be any happier with the tiny number of people coming. It will be intimate, small and beautiful- exactly how I want it to be! And then we get to party with everyone when we get back, so I will still get all of that love and excitement as well! Hey Jenny - This board has slowed down some very recently but yes it is hard to catch up on!! Glad you made it at least part way through!!! You must be super excited your only days away from your "wedding" YaY --- we talked about doing the city hall thing... first he said we should .. then he said it sounded unnecessary! Yeah I love going camping!! We didn't make it at all this year.. usually go two or three times : (

Hahah yeah part of me wants to see more then one island while I am already in the area... the other part of me wants to not have to pack up and move .. too many choices!! haha

Right now we are just staying at the same resort for two weeks.... we will be there the same amount of time before and after the wedding.... I have been unsure of what I want to do since before we booked. Part of me wants to stay put, part of me wants to go to a different resort, part of me wants to go to a different island, and part of me wants to do something like go on a cruise. I can't make up my mind Hahah ... I think we will probably just stay put. We are staying at one of the Sandals in St. Lucia... there are three of them so we can go to either of the other two as much as we want. So if we feel like running away for the day or getting a change of scenery we can! Decisions Decisions. . .

Ohhh - I stayed up too late last night .. took a little cat nap... now I am wide awake ... *sighs* same thing will probably happen tomorrow! No plans really.... just relaxing... we usually go camping this weekend but since we just got home from vacation we decided not to go this year... now I really wish we were going!!!

Haha yeah - to us we are engaged. We have been together over 6 years - never talked about marriage really ... I have always said that it was never something I wanted to do. We had a very informal conversation about it and I knew right away that we would do a small destination so I didn't want him to feel pressured to get a ring and do a formal engagement (which I am waiting for... it doesn't have to be a big song and dance but he needs to do something sweet and romantic!!!) before he was ready ... Since I want that to all be a surprise I figured we could go ahead and start planning and the proposal will follow. I wanted to make sure I gave everyone plenty of time to plan their trip but I don't want to hear any confused or snarky comments from people because I feel like it isn't anyone's business how we are planning our day so that is why we decided that for now we have only told those that are invited to the wedding that we are getting married... for everyone else (included those that we will invite to our AHR) they can wait . . . "Sisterhood of the Traveling Starfish" Update. Just wanted to let everyone know that I didn't forget about this while I was away. I am waiting for one more girl's info then I can finalize how many fish we will need and each of their travel plans. I just sent a message to her in hopes that I get this info soon. Yeah I don't know... I'm just guessing hahah sooooooooon I hope!! I am 95% sure I know which one I am getting... I picked out a couple but he made it pretty clear which one he liked best ... so I'm just assuming... it is sooo pretty I just want it NOW hahaha hhahah too funny... I am lucky my FI is always in his office glued to his computer so I can play as much as I want usually

Yeah I wondered about that... I think that maybe once we announce our engagment and explain to those not invited to St. Lucia that we are having an AHR that some people may want to do a shower or something.... Guess we will wait and see. Still waiting on the ring HAHA I know I will be getting it before the end of this year! We always buy one Christmas ornament each year... when we were on Vacation we went into this little Christmas Shop - we got the cutest ornament... But I told him it only made since to be our ornament this year if I have my ring by then.. he said don't worry and bought it... sooooooo in the next couple of months!?!?! LOL
