Has anybody rented a house (or two) for your guests to stay at instead of staying at a resort? I was thinking of doing this (we'll be inviting everybody to join us for a few days of Disney after the wedding) and I was wondering how you split costs and decide how big a house you need? And do you book the house based on RSVPs or do you wait until everybody has booked?

I haven't even booked anything yet and I'm already second guessing myself. I feel like it's worth it though, to get the wedding I want and the honeymoon I want.

It's going to take me forever lol. I'm having a lazy day, letting the kids watch cartoons while I play on my computer and drink coffee. Jenny2014 you're braver than I am! When we lived on the 12th floor I wouldn't go any farther than the door, even though we had a huge balcony.

I'll be looking at a birdcage veil if I decide to keep my hair short (I usually keep a pixie cut) but I might go with a long veil if I grow it out before the wedding. I can't wait to try some on though.

For anybody who has bought the $99 linen, would you say it's reusable for other occasions? I'm thinking of going this route

I haven't mentioned it to FH yet.... He keeps telling me to just tell him when and where to show up and he'll be there, so I'm just doing what I want and I'll run it all by him later lol.

I love the ideas here, and I love the idea of a non-traditional song. I was thinking of using the Cinderella "This is love" for our first dance, but I love the idea of doing another Disney song for something else as well.

I'm considering growing out my hair for my wedding (I have a year and a half) but I'm not really sure that's what I want. I usually keep a pixie cut, and I love my short hair, but I'm having a hard time finding ideas for short wedding hairdos, it seems pretty uncommon.

I can't figure out edit (if there even is an edit feature lol) but I meant to add that I haven't been out of Canada since I was a child, and I don't remember that. So I'm not an experienced traveler at all, which is part of why I want to go somewhere else for this

That would be great! Thank you I was hoping it would be nice, but still something a bit different for a DW. I still have to call and see if they'll work with me from a distance too, they don't specifically focus on DWs anywhere on their website. Do you have any other recommendations for the area?

I'm looking at a wedding near Orlando Florida. We have two kids, and we want to have the wedding in Florida, and finish with a "family honeymoon" at Disney. We're planning on splitting a large house rental with our guests, and inviting people to stay and enjoy Disney (or other attractions) with us. We want to travel early January 2015, and that's where it's getting difficult, I do not want a beach wedding in January lol. Our budget (for just the wedding) is $5000 max. and I want as all inclusive and least stressful as possible. We're inviting 26 people (plus us and our two kids) and expect a few to not make it. I'm interested in this as a venue: http://www.indianriverqueen.com but it's hard to find reviews for them, and there are none here. I'd love other ideas for within 2 hours from Orlando/Kissimmee areas. The original plan was a wedding at home, and then going to Disney for the family honeymoon, but I really just wasn't happy with anything around here for that price range, and I'm really hoping this will be easier to plan.
