Hello, Congrats to you and your Fi! I'm planning a 2014 wedding at the Grand. Unfortunately there isn't forum for the Grand like the Suites. Is Calabash open air? Did you find it too hot to dance and enjoy? We're your guests dancing? The main option for receptions at the grand Is an open air restaurant on the beach. I am so afraid of the heat and humidity ruining our reception. We have a choice of using there catering hall but my Fi is so......against it. I would think that the Ac'd venue would be much better..his thoughts are "why marry in Jamaica if we're going to rent a hall". I hope you can help ease my mind. My date is next May.

Hi Meghan, the chairs that you are referring to can only be rented with the florist. The coordinators will call you about 45 days prior to go over the fine details of decor with you. I'm getting married at the Grand in 2014 and the decor is all up to you. You can tell them what you want for a few or you can bring down special things with you. Hopefully I've helped somewhat.

Hi DaniScales2b, Congrats to you and your husband! I am planning to marry there in May 2014. I have a few questions. What route did you take with travel arrangements for your guest? Where did they stay? If they stayed at the suites or beach..how did you handle the day pass fees? I have 50+ guests and that fee adds a couple thousand to the already hefty price to pay! Where did you do your ceremony and reception at? What areas did you feel needed extra/your own decoration?

Hi, I am planning a May 2014 wedding at the Grand also. I have a confirmed date but my fiancé and I haven't confirmed it yet with ourselves (pending a visit to the grand in 2 weeks). I have chosen a beach wedding also but i am opting for a indoor/air conditioned reception. Although I love traveling/the beach and the ambience I hate being too hot!! I have so....many apprehensions about having the wedding there that I am hoping to get resolution too when I go for the site visit. Happy Planning!!
