  1. Hi ladies! I'm printer shopping this weekend. I've gotten away with not having a printer for a long time because I've always used my job for printing. I recently changed jobs, and printing is a little harder at the new place. I am a graphic designer so I am a bit picky, but would love to hear what kind of printer all of you ladies have had luck with for your wedding stationery. I welcome all suggestions.
  2. Ironic...last night i was watching Four Weddings on TLC and a bride lit paper lanterns after her ceremony..RIGHT NEXT TO THE CHURCH. The lanterns were flying way too close to the building. I was getting nervous just watching lol.
  3. I didn't even think about this at all..and some of the things on here are wonderful ideas! Will have to add to my to do list The something blue as a shoe is such a great idea...except I want bright yellow shoes, so that's out hah!
  4. I'll have to check Amazon out! Love the argyle sock idea as well!
  5. Are you thinking of asking somebody else in her place?
  6. I haven't seen anybody post the gazebo at Secrets Maroma Beach. So here you go: This is actually where I will be having my ceremony AND reception
  7. I'm actually doing the reverse of that. No RSVP cards. I've had several things get "lost" in the mail before. So i don't want to run into that problem. I'm letting all the guests RSVP online. I'm including a QR code on my STD so they can easily scan and RSVP from their phones if they wish to do so, and a URL so they can do it from their computers (my FI and I are both tech geeks haha). Also, I feel better about not using up so much paper. (think green!) But that's just me.
  8. Beat me to it! Saw this deal, and immediately thought...I bet BDW brides would love this.. haha
  9. I think that is an amazing idea! I won't be having any kids at my wedding, but if I did..that's what I would do. (Hmm, maybe the best man can do this?? Lol, ok too far now)
  10. I posted this article in a different thread a couple of days ago too! I am definitely considering going unplugged for the ceremony portion. Not really the reception, but definitely ceremony.
  11. We will be getting legally married a couple of days before we leave for Mexico, here in Baltimore, MD. Originally we wanted to get married in Baltimore anyway. We both moved here after college and fell in love with the city and each other. Since it is so darn expensive to get married here, we decided destination was the next best thing. (Turns it, we love the idea even more now.) But anyway, the legal marriage will be just paperwork, but still symbolic to us because of the location. Then the wedding will be us sharing our love with all those we love

Believe me my husband took full advantage of saying "well we aren't married yet" for that month that we weren't- got old real fast lol. Anyways- we were planning on just going to the courthouse on our lunch break and then it ended up turning into our parents and siblings, and grandparents at our house with the family paster marrying us. I cooked dinner for everyone and my husband's grandma brought an ice cream cake. We both wore jeans and it was very casual- so it did not end up being just the two of us but was very casual and how I wanted it to be- so it worked out! I feel like my FI would take advantage of the "not married yet" part haha. We'll be legally married before our wedding, so too bad for him. Missed that opportunity I read a story somewhere (possibly even on here) of a bride and groom who literally asked random people in the courthouse to be their witnesses!! Also read another where they asked a coworker and their wife who they had never met to be witnesses. I think that's kind of neat!
  13. Thank you both so much!!! I'm trying to get fit since ill be in bathing suits most of the time right? Haha
  14. LOVE!! Also I want to know what kind of shoes those are!! That's exactly what I have in mind for mine. My colors are gray and yellow and I want awesome yellow shoes.
  15. 2.5 years for us as well! We got engaged on Christmas Eve in front of the Christmas tree at my parents house in Florida It will be 3 years in about 2 weeks, and we will be almost at 4 years when we marry.
  16. Not sure of the reason, but it does get easier to post. Even just commenting back on something to simply say "I agree" works.
