Another question - does anyone know if you can bounce between resorts? Like stay at the Suites, but be married at the Beach? Or stay at the Beach, and use the Suites' lazy river?

Does anyone know if you can bounce between different properties? Like if most of the guests are staying at the Hall beach, but want to use the Suites' lazy river can they? Or if we stay at the Suites, can we be married at Hall beach?

Does anyone know if you can have a cocktail party after the ceremony, but before the dinner, that's more like 1.5-2 hours long versus 1 hour? We were thinking of doing our first dances & speeches at the cocktail hour, but are worried that won't be a long enough time span. Has anyone done speeches at their dinners? We weren't going to go the private or semi-private route. And when do you all cut the cake? Trying to figure out the best timing of things here...

Anybody have quotes from Toronto for around November of any year? Specifically looking for next November, but just wanting an estimate! We are going to have about 50 guests. Already bought my dress, just need to finalize the resort :-D!

I totally get wanting the "real deal", we just have family members who have done destination before and had issues with the legalities. For example, they misspelt her name on the wedding certificate and three years later, are still trying to rectify this. Another couple haven't received their official certificate and it's been a year. Plus a close family friend of mine is a judge and would marry us for free, so we just thought it would save us a headache... but if we have to pay for it in Jamaica anyways... not sure.

Seriously? You had to pay minister fees even though you were already going to be legally married? Things have changed a lot in the last few years with this resort then because people didn't have to pay before. That's a bummer! Does anyone know what the "Remember" package is? Donnalee told me that's the package they use for vow renewal and symbolic weddings, but that wasn't included in the packages she sent me.

Hello everybody! Coconut Bay was the resort the FI and I absolutely loved... but couldn't justify asking our guests to spend $2000 to attend. Like 90% of our guests will be flying from Toronto, Ontario but any quote we looked into for November 2014 was outrageously priced. It doesn't seem to be a popular resort on this website, which is unfortunate because it seems perfect. We are giving our TAs a list of our top 5 resorts this fall, and Coconut Bay will be on it. If the quotes come back in a reasonable price range, it might be the one we choose!

Hello! My name's Cassie, and I am new to this website! I am planning to get married at GBP in November of next year. Was hoping for some helpful tips and rough guest quotes! I've contacted some travel agents, but all the quotes I have received have been above $1700, which seems crazy since I can find it for $1400 on my own. I did happen to find one travel agent back in Ontario (I live in British Columbia, Canada) who provided better quotes, and was honest enough to advise me to wait until later this summer to lock in to a quote price. Just wondering how far ahead people have had their guests lock in, and which wedding packages you have gone with? Did you find the resort accommodating to all of your guests, especially children and older adults? We will likely be having a group of about 50 people.
