Good morning ladies!!! I'm back from our cruise and I'm still in vacation mode AHHHH....lol. Had a great time and gained 2lbs LOL but I'm not worried I know it will come off quick. Now I have to focus on doing our wedding reg. since my FI mom is now throwing us an enegagement party (4months later.....) so trying to do that today after work. My MOH is flying up for the party (she lives in FL) so I'm super excited to see her!!! Hope you're all doing well and enjoying summer so far.

Do what is best for you as far as where you have it. Maybe pay for the transportation from the resort to the place so the guests don't have to worry about it. And try not to share the costs of things....trust me -

It is....I found THE ONE on saturday and it was the same feeling as my engagement ring. Altho the other dresses were pretty I just felt that something was missing. The person who was helping me really was no help b/c she didn't listen to me about things I wanted to try. There was another bride there having her mother try on dresses and she pointed out this dress and told me to try it on and we grabbed it ourselves off the rack and let me tell you....I just fell in love. Ugh....I keep looking at the pictures a million times a day since. Mine was the like 7th dress LOL. I like his designs very much. Love your dress too I'm not going to change any part of our wedding b/c of someone else, we have already discussed this -

Same here with the cake, I'm not paying extra for the cake b/c no one eats all that much cake and the package also includes the desert. The silver package isn't bad, have you seen the list? It has our two fav liquors on it so I'm fine with it lol. They charge ya b/c they use the outside vendors which I think is ridiculous. Is there anything in the package you didn't want? There was a few things we don't want and Carolina said she would talk to her manager about giving us a credits towards some of our upgrades to even out the cost. I have decided with some of the ridiculous upcharges that I'm going to have to elliminate some of the things I really wanted but in the end I'll still be there marring my best friend and that is what truely matters. -
Good luck hunnie! We're all here cheering you on Try Jillian Michael's 30 day shred to start, it's a great program to start with. I lost 13inches from it and than I did her Ripped in 30 DVD. You can buy them in walmart for $9 and you just need some dumbells. Try skinnytaste.com for recipes and try a tracking program to log all your food. There's a lot out there for free, I personally use myfitnesspal and it has helped me to lose over 18lbs so far

A little thing I like to call "Operation Wedding Dress" (aka, my dress is too small... but it won't be soon!)

I'm going dress shopping tomorrow!!! Can't wait -
I totally feel you, we've voiced for over a year now that we were planning a DW and we've lived together almost 2yrs now and we don't want to spend an arm and a leg so that we can buy a house soon. We currently have no credit card debt and a decent amount saved so we're not looking to use either on this wedding which is completely do able. Plus we want to than pay our cars off and my student loan after we're married so that in two years from now we'll be completely stable to buy a home and not struggle. *hugs* cheer up chicky, just remember we are marring our best friends and that's what is most important.

Out door overlooking the beach -
Yeah that was the whole reason we planned a DW, she is just crazy about all this and has driven us both nuts for the last 3 months. This will be the only thing she will be planning, everything else she has no say in. We're paying for it ourselves so what we chose will be what we want. And if she doesn't like it she can keep her comments to herself. Just remember to do what YOU and your FI want to do as far as the place you want to get married. No one had a say in that, we chose it completely on our own.

She tells me to pick a place, I find some cute little restaurants and than she picks this banquet hall basically. Than makes an appt for this Sunday at 12p to go look at it and go over the menu and expects us to come. Helloooooo we leave next friday!~?! I have my own sh*t to do. UGH, and she's inviting 40ppl. I gave her a list of ppl who are invited to the wedding that is family and wedding party and warned her not to invite ppl who are not on the list b/c my save the dates will be out by than and I don't want there to be a huge fight b/c ppl aren't invited and find out at our engagement party. The list I gave her was 27ppl. We said we did not want boyfriends/girlfriends invited unless they live together, are engaged, or they are over 25. We don't want to have a bunch of ppl for no reason, just want it to be low key. But as my grandmother puts it his mother has a champagne taste with a beer budget. And she wants us to have an AHR after the wedding, it's all just way too much. I'm putting my foot down after this party b/c we're not going broke over this. If they can't make it to the engagement party or the wedding I don't need to have another huge party when we get home. It's just too much b/c we're tech getting married months before the wedding and just not telling anyone. It's too much of a pain to do it legally in DR and we can't get a copy of my FI birth cert. that easy or mine.

OOOOH b/c you have to have the buffet b/c your number of ppl. We have 31ppl coming. And I'd talk to you WC and say you're not paying for drinks for the kids since they will not be drinking....try and work a deal with the kids at least b/c they won't eat half of what is there probably and won't be drinking. Also, I heard a lot of ppl got out of the extra fee for the cake b/c I guess they cut very large pieces and there is also desert included in the ultimate package so it might be a bit too much -
That's exactly what I was thinking of doing if I did find it was "pretend" I didn't find it lol. At least if I found it, it would be a lot less stress of things for the wedding. Currently my future MIL is driving me crazy b/c now, 3 months after we've been engaged and right before we leave for vacation, she wants to throw us an engagement party. So on top of all the wedding planning, vacation planning, and reg life she wants me to find a place etc for the engagement party. And she wants to go all out and have it at a banquet hall.....so annoying. Like it's not a wedding, it's a friggin engagement party!!
