  1. This is awesome Joanne! Such an great idea for all of the brides out there who want something themed, but are not DIY-inclined or don't have time/patience. Pretty good if you can get free items AND free shipping! Best VP DW OOT bags I have ever seen!
  2. I found this bags at Dollar Tree recently! They look awesome for the price. Besides the pink, red and yellow in the picture, they also have blue and green. Here is the link from Dollar Tree: http://www.dollartree.com/seasonal/Luau-Apparel/Luau-Hibiscus-Flower-Tote-Bags/638c881c881p327738/index.pro
  3. Thank you for the heads up...it's amazing how much more 3 cents will buy!
  4. YES, YES AND YES!!! I look when people include pictures in their posts! Using the wrapping paper instead of scrapbook paper is INGENIOUS!!! Now, I just have to find some paper that will compliment my wedding colors! Off to Dollar Tree! Hopefully, I will get lucky!
  5. Hi AtoZ, I noticed you are my wedding date twin! The first one that I have found on this site! I'm so excited...less than a year to go!!! Thanks for sharing the envelope liner tutorial! In your honest opinion, do you think it was worth the time, effort and expense of doing them? I've been thinking about doing them, but I can't make up my mind...
  6. I can totally relate to you! I am constantly looking over my boarding pass invitations...and always changing small details that most people, except my mom, would notice! lol So, I can relate to being extremely detail-oriented!
  7. Hey, you used the same flowers (except my colors are pink, yellow and orange) that are on my boarding pass invitations! Great minds think alike! ticket jacket.docx boarding_pass_std.doc
  8. These look awesome! I may have to check this website since I am thinking about doing a significant amount of floral items. It's crazy how much resorts and WC want to charge for flowers...that I can't even take with me! At least with fake flowers, they are cheap, pre-made (so less stress about someone else creating something I don't like) and I can keep them indefinitely!
  9. Hi AndreAnn, Congrats on your new marriage! I am seriously considering having the reception in one of the specialty restaurant. I would love to set the table up during our "reception dinner" so that it still carries the vibe of the wedding. Which cruise line did you take? Did you get to create a menu with them?
  10. Exactly...I think I need to add that to my growing wedding list of things to look into!
  11. Based on your experience of being a cruise bride, what did guests use and what didn't they use? If you could did it again, what would you add?
  12. I stumbled on Dressilyme somehow a couple of months ago...and it's been on my mind ever since. I keep debating whether or not I want to purchase a dress from them or try my luck with trying to find on in a non-bridal store. How long did it take to have your dress custom made? How is their customer service? Since you had it custom tailored to you, are you worried about the way it will fit for the wedding?
  13. FYI...If you get married in Mexico, you are required to have a blood test!
  14. With this link, you are available to get 25% off sitewide: http://www.vistaprint.com/vp/welcomeback.aspx?GP=4%2f24%2f2013+4%3a55%3a49+PM&GPS=2813491884&GNF=1
  15. They end up looking so awesome. I don't think people will realize just how much of a labor of love these are to create! I'm just happy I got something beautiful and unique without the ridiculous price tag!
  16. I was trying to figure out how to make these last night in Powerpoint and this is how I felt So I Google how to make the words go in a circle around the object and it didn't work. Randomly, after I had spent multiple hours, I was like 2-3 something in the morning.... I had an idea for something in Publisher so I tried something because I was determined to make it work . (I admit this wedding has enhanced my Type A personality! lol) It worked with the exception of the words on the bottom of the label are upside down (because of how it goes in a complete circle)! So, this was essentially me after that (at like 3:30 in the morning).... The things I will do for this wedding, even though it's a little under a year away! lol As a note, I don't know if I have used Publisher before. But, it is absolutely amazing! I think I will be using it for all of my remaining DIY needs!
  17. ATTENTION LADIES!!!! There is a new Groupon available for $70 worth of VP products for $17. http://www.groupon.com/deals/vista-print-42-orlando?pt=aUXdkMzAAAADKcbiuQseJ7ZDu_9p0dtSK Hope this helps some DW brides before it expires!
  18. Thanks for the offer, Dawn! I think I'm going to have to go with the same mindset as you...it's either the steakhouse or the formal dining room. But, I would much rather prefer the steakhouse. I don't know that the reception would have the right vibe with the people that we anticipate coming. So I think it would be more fun (and cost effective) with either the steakhouse or the dining room. I don't think I'm going to stress about it! The only thing that I'm going to have to figure out is what to put on the wedding day timeline for the wedding dinner! Any suggestions on how to deal with this issue?
  19. Hmm...that is an interesting concept! My FI and I have talked about not wanting to see each other until I walk down the aisle. However, I think that those would be a good idea for pictures that I see him, but he doesn't see me. I don't know what you would call them or if what I'm describing makes sense. It probably sounds like I'm crazy though. lol
  20. Your flowers are the same as mine...the only thing that is different would be the colors of the flowers!
  21. I COMPLETELY AGREE!!! Perfect wedding day...on a shoestring budget!
  22. Thanks for the suggestion of using Simply Weddings! Has anyone used their services (or another awesome WC) in Grand Cayman?
