  1. Oh yeah that is plenty of time to lose a couple of dress sizes plus some! At least you decided to get married before the holidays...so you will be able to enjoy all of the delicious holiday foods! With the Groupon that I redeeming, it doesn't matter which Zumba class I attend...it can only be Zumba (and another type of class). So, I would just suggest reading the fine print of the Groupon and maybe calling them before buying it just to make sure!
  2. I'm so happy that my Zumba energy rubbed off on you! With Zumba, you should definitely be able to lose 2 dress sizes (and possibly more to be beach ready) in a fun way! When is your wedding date?
  3. AtoZ, You must have really influenced me because I haven't been able to stop thinking about doing liners. I actually have kind of a funny story. My wedding colors are pink, orange and yellow. Basically, my wedding is based around my profile picture. So I went to Dollar Tree and found some yellow wrapping paper. I bought it and did 2 envelopes and they look nice. But, I kept wondering if I could find something that wouldn't clash with the colors and the hibiscus flowers. Anyway, I went to Walmart, Michaels, Target, Big Lots (and I'm sure random other stores that I can't remember, including multiples of each). Today, I happened to go to a Target today. Jackpot! I found something perfect. It is shades of pink, yellow and oranges water-colored chevrons! I LOVE it! It compliments my boarding pass invitations well! Sorry for the long story! Just thought I would share!
  4. I have a stack of notebook paper inside my binder...I'm waiting for the time when I can actually get around to naming the tabs so that I can be organized. So, it seems like we are in the same boat! But, I think the most important thing to remember is that we have at least taken the first step in having all of our ideas in one place! Celebration dance for that!
  5. Yes...perfection is so elusive, isn't it? lol. I know they are minute.Yet, I feel since these are all DIY projects (thus 100% me) that I feel more pressure for them to be perfect. I'm sure after a certain number of invitations I will just be like forgot it...I'm just going to call (insert name here). lol. Just kidding! I will just have a drink...and keep going! haha. Since I'm getting married during the course of a cruise, I'm sure that I will be relaxed once I get aboard it!
  6. That was actually pretty good! Thanks for sharing!
  7. Just checked her out. She seems to do a lot of peacock items! Are they what's hot right now? (Did I miss the memo?) I love her white orchid comb...too bad that isn't my flower! lol
  8. Yep, I lost a couple of inches! It was surprising even to me! But, I also did (still try to do) it 4 times/week. How often did you do it? Sometimes you just have to find the right leader! So are a lot better than others! Maybe it is worth another try! Since you already do cardio, perhaps you could try a Zumba Sentao class. Basically you dance with a chair...it is harder than it seems! Trust me! But, you will feel it the next day For the first week of me doing Zumba, I also did a detox. So I basically was on a restrictive vegan diet and was using a juicer that my FH had just given me. So, I would have a big SmartWater size bottle of real juice for breakfast/lunch and eat a "regular" meal for dinner. Plus, I wasn't really active before I started doing Zumba and my diet was...well, very American! lol. I've had 9 Zumba classes in the last 2 weeks and I have dropped a dress size. If anyone is interested in Zumba, my suggestion would be that you check out Groupon or LivingSocial for deals, they are ALWAYS having location with some good deal for other! I ended up getting 20 Zumba classes for $40....NOW, that's a DEAL! I've also seen deals for yoga, bootcamp, 1 month unlimited gym membership, aerial yoga (aka pole dancing), etc.
  9. Thank you, agm! That is definitely a bargain! I wonder if the ones they are describing you are smaller than the ones they have listed on their website. It sounds like they have rum cake bites! lol How are you able to pay for them in advance in order to just have to pick them up?
  10. Zumba is really fun! If you haven't worked out in a while, it will be hard to keep up! It starts to get really fun when you start to know the moves to the song and your body is on auto-pilot! If you find a location that does Zumba classes, try to go Zumba toning and Zumba sentao. They kick Zumba up a notch. I lost a couple of inches after just 4 Zumba classes!
  11. For any of you GC brides, When you go there, can you please please please price how much the Tortuga rum cakes are? I am thinking about giving each couple a mini (4oz) Tortuga rum cake in lieu of our wedding cake... But, idk if I should buy it when we get to port or have it shipped to us! I would be extremely grateful to anyone who could price this for me! THANKS in advance!
  12. Hi Allie! It is a small world indeed! Orlando is actually my adopted home because I attended UCF. I LOVE it here! I looked at that etsy seller...she sells some pretty arrangements!
  13. Buy a notebook/binder...then create a list for everything! Trust me, you will appreciate it esp. if you spend a lot of time on this site! My binder has my (working) budget, OOT supply list, bridal bag supply list, type of photos I want on the wedding day, group activity ideas, DIY list of projects...and that's just the beginning! Personally, it is so much better than one of those pre-made one that cost over $20!!!
  14. By premade...I meant made ahead of time! Sorry about that! As in you create them before your trip through a labor of love, then transport them to your destination. In my opinion it's one less thing to have to worry about....I think I might be a little disappointed if the vision for my wedding bouquet was lost in translation!
  15. Hello fellow DW brides! I love the idea of OOT bags. But, the more I think about it, the more I wonder...will my guests even use most of what I put in this bag? Some things make sense and I feel like they will me used by more than not. Water bottles, luggage tags, lysol wipes, etc. are items I believe most people should find useful. However, neosporin, bandaids, tylenol, pepto bismol, etc. are items that you will either definitely utilize (for obvious reasons) or they will just go unused. As a cost saving measure, I was thinking about doing a courtesy/ "Just in case" bag. I will put a note in a condensed OOT stating what items are available should they need them. So, what is your honest opinion of this idea?
  16. Cruising is absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Hopefully, you, your FH and guests will enjoy it, as well. Have you decided which cruise with Carnival you want to go on? Thank you for the link on cruisecritic! Unfortunately there are not a lot of threads on here for cruise DW brides...and the few threads that are on here have very little chatter! RCCL and Princess are 2 of the main stream cruise lines that offer a wedding at sea. However, at a start price of $4k for a wedding at sea RCCL cruise, I would rather get married on one of the beautiful islands! I want to get married in GC and know that I don't want to pay a starting price of $2k + $375 license fee for one of Carnival's weddings!
  17. The fees that Carnival (as well as the other cruise lines, I'm sure) are outrageous! The price for just the marriage license is $375. YIKES! For a somewhat basic wedding, they want to charge about $2k. No thanks...I will try my luck with someone on the island! Hopefully, I will be able to customize it more for a fraction of the price.
  18. Hello my fellow cruising DW brides! It seems like we make up a very small portion of DW brides! I am going to be sailing aboard the Carnival Legend out of Tampa, FL. My FH and I plan to get married on the island of Grand Cayman. So, my questions for all of you, cruise DW brides are: - What are you most excited/nervous/stressed about? - Have any of you brides who chose Carnival had any negative feedback since all of the recent Carnival incidences? - Have you decided whether you are going to go to a specialty restaurant, the main dining room or rent a room for the reception?
  19. Hi Allie, Thanks for sharing a lovely picture from your wedding day! Where did your purchase your flowers from? Afloral? How much were they,if you don't mind my asking?
  20. I read the whole post and now I have SO many ideas!!!! Will have to talk to my FH about some of these unique ceremonies! Love the box! My FH and I don't like wine. So does anyone have any ideas of what we could put in a box with the letters in lieu of the wine?
  21. Joanne, Your real e-ring is absolutely beautiful! Then again I may be biased....that's very similar to the ring that I have!
  22. Thanks for the idea of the brads! I found these at Michaels...I think they will be an awesome touch to my boarding passes!
