@@veryvalentine I wanted to have a welcome drink / dinner the first night and I was going to hand out the bags then, but as it turns out we do t get to the resort until 9pm or so! So by the time we get checked in and get to our rooms everyone will be tired, so of our guest will of been travelling since 5am! We all arrive the same time so I would have to assemble the bags too once I get there too. I haven't decided what to do yet but my mom suggest a brunch / lunch welcome the next morning. Or maybe a welcome dinner the second night??.. I don't know But I think meeting them at the lobby and giving them the bags at check in is fun they would appreciate the bags and it would be a great welcome! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

@@shevette925 are you using a separate wedding planner besides Carolina ? Have you thought about sending out a pre- travel brochure mailer? You can include a tentative schedule, packing tips, etc. that way if people wanted to book separate excursions they have an idea if what days you have things planned. I'm doing one I think. @@shevette925 I was just wondering myself what do do about a Welcome get together...I wanted to arrange something for the first night we arrived so I could introduce everyone and give out the bags...I was thinking about just having it in the Lobby Bar and I was going to inquire about the price of some finger foods. BUT I just got our flight schedule and it looks like we don't arrive until 9pm so by the time everyone gets checked in and finds a room, it will be pretty late...some of my guests will be traveling from 5am!...thats a long day! We will be starving when we get there...I have no idea what to do about it!! Any Ideas? I know the sports bar has 24 / hr food...I have just sent an email to Carolina asking her whats the cost to have some finger food served while we check in. As for the welcome get together My mom has suggested to do it as a brunch thing the first morning / lunch time instead...I want to do it as soon as possible so people can meet and get their bags. I'm not sure about a rehearsal dinner either....we are having a private reception...so I'm wondering if we can use the included non private dinner for a rehearsal dinner. What are your ideas so far?? how many bottles of pink moscato would you be bringing??? I don't know what the rules are on that but I'm pretty sure there is a limit on the amount of alcohol you can bring into a country...I don't think you will be able to bring that amount without hassel! Have you thought about using a local rum / or Cava (a Spanish Sparking Wine) instead?

@@samilein I have 6 of the frames I think...I got them at the dolllaramma...you can have them for free if you want them I can check the dollaramma next to my place where I got them to see if they have 2 or 3 more. I found a supplier for the small bottles of rum online one time...I'll look back through my notes and see if I find the link for you. I'm going to make my favours myself. I had a friend bring back two bags of sand from Punta Cana last week and I have shells from the first time we went 8 years ago. I'm going to use Bakers twin though instead of raffia. Update! Officially booked my officiant (my parents neighbour....haha) for my legal wedding! Marriage Licence cost $50.00 Officiant cost $100.00 Legally married on my Dad's Dock with my Nan as my witness...priceless...lol 81 Days 2hrs 5mins Until the legal the legal stuff in Newfoundland 199 Days 21hrs 4min Until we leave for Punta Cana 204 Days 1hour 3 mins Until We GET MARRIED!!!
