@@krystalball It was some sort of corporate decision not to fly on Saturdays anymore...you think it would just effect the new flights instead of cancelling all ready full scheduled ones... But oh well. @@calgarybride2015 It's actually comforting to know that it happened to you too and it all worked out in the end. We just spent the last few weeks adjusting the connecting flights so all that work is down the drain but after sleeping on it I'm over the initial shock of it and I'm not so angry. @@kcole123 I don't know why this happens to me... I'm jinxed! Lol! I'm just rolling with the punches... *Update* I woke up this morning to an email My TA wrote me last night they were able to move my group to the Sunday departure... Thankfully! We originally had Saturday So not too much change to people vacay time. My brother is the only real issue as he is supposed to be at work the day we come back now...my TA is working to get a change for him to accommodate his work schedule perhaps at no charge. We might lose our business class but my TA is working to get us the same baggage allowance we would of had. They are now offering to pay of hotels for anyone who has to have a forced over night, which they weren't doing before. With this new flight it looks like we have way better flight times too. OMG!! Just got the worst call from my TA...AC has decided that they are not going to be flying on my dates anymore! Now I have to choose a whole New dates!!! WTF AIR CANADA! Just spent countless hours arranging connecting flights ....and the flight was full! Now they have cancelled it! Not sure what to do about this! So Mad, stressed, sad! why does this keep happening! Sorry guys just venting

Ceremony Dress, Shoes, & Accessories (except undergarments & Alterations) Reception Dress, Shoes, & Accessories (except undergarments & Alterations) Wedding Rings Photographer Trial Make up apt at Sephora...may do my own make up...may get it done at resort Trial Hair Apr with my Friend...she may do my hair...may get it done at resort Legal ceremony date, location, & officiant (just have to get the licence in June when I go home for a weekend) all the bridesmaid accessories (except for a necklace) All the Groomsmen Atire & accessories (except for a belt) FI's Pants and Shoes 50% of the Bridesmaids Gift 20% of the OOT bag 30% of stationary Design Flower Girl Outfit and Seashell ball First Dance Song picked Tea light holders for the Tables Straws and flags for the place names ( like @@kcole123 ) Seashell and ribbon for the rings ( Like @@calgarybride2015 ) my Bouquet sorted with the resort my Dad's pants OK this list isn't too bad...starting to feel better... I will start working on making apts for things. I am using the resort Video and DJ but it seems as though you don't book them..you just put it in the spreadsheet you send a month before and confirm when you get there... that makes me nervous...it seems a though my WC doesn't understand what I'm asking...or I'm not understanding her answer.

*Update* 60 days to the Legal ceremony 179 Day til we travel to Punta Cana 183 days til the WEDDING! So the panic is starting to set in... I feel like I have nothing done!!! EEK! I had been asked by a friend which weekend I have free this summer for a group BBQ...I started to go through my calender and realised that I have almost no free weekends this summer....then I thought oh shit! How am I going to get this all done! I have things to order, things to design and print, and things to craft!....not to mention an apartment to clean...its kind of a wreck right now and I have guests coming to stay in 2 weeks...I haven't been on the site fully in while and now I'm seeing what people getting married after me have done so far!! My anxiety has now kicked in and I'm feeling overwhelmed. Got a revised flight schedule back from my travel agent...This time there was just one thing wrong...My FI's mom was missing! lol! Plus there were a few flights that I'm trying to get different times to lower the stopover times for some of the guests. But I'm confident that will all be sorted soon. Not going to stress about it because there is a lot of time left for that. Updated the budget last night...man that thing just keeps creeping up! However I am still basing all my numbers on 60 people...I currently have 44 booked in and 16 serious Maybes...so I know when the finial payments are due that I will have less than 60 and my budget will go down Plans for this week and weekend: Clean the Spare room, sort & organize wedding mess to make room for guests! Find a vest for the FI Make the message in a bottle favours...really got to do it this time...god I am such a procrastinator! Make a list of things that need to be ordered online. ok!...not too bad...I should be able to get that done...right?!

@@Jc14 I doubt that Carolina is aloud to tell you how exactly to get around paying the vender fee, especially in writing. I think she is trying to throw you a hint... So if your photographer is from Punta Cana they will have to be on your guest list as @@shevette925 said, and they will count as regular guest in your package price. You may be able to get away with a guest pass as they are a local guest. Check the requirements (hours &price) and rules of a guest pass. Wow! looks like I've missed a lot! @@Jc14 Looks like you got all of your questions answered but I'll throw in my 2 cents! I'm doing a symbolic wedding but it was my understanding that Carolina will officiate it for free...I am torn between that and having a family member / friend do it. Neither my FI or I are religious so having a pastor is not important to us...plus its saving us money. I think @@Kerrierf is right....The dinner will not become private by default but you have to have a fixed menu if you are over 14?? people....and I THINK the fixed menu is the same as the private dinner menu so it wont matter what restaurant. Also if the Dinner is not private I don't think you can have a DJ.....unless you are having a beach bash after dinner. I'm making up a fake licence to sign just because I want it to be more like a real wedding. Not sure what exactly I'm doing with that but I saw a few ideas on Pinterest and Etsy. The head table Decor is free everything else costs money...I can send you the list she sent me if you PM your email. The DJ is DJMannia as far as I know. For the Photographer I am Bring my own...just as cheep and I like her pictures better What package did you end up going with? Confirm my answers with Carolina though....she is your best resource for accurate information... and at least then you have it in writing from her....some people end up get stuff for free some people pay...me and @@samilein sent her the same picture for a quote on a centrepiece but got two very different prices. So the information isn't always consistent and what Carolina says goes. @@shevette925 if you could send me the ceremony options I would love to see them to use as a base as I maybe making up my own ceremony script. @@Mels84 Glad to see you are back!

@@Jc14 The Silver Renewal Package is specifically for a renewal of vows, which is why i need to produce a wedding certificate. But you can have a symoblic wedding with any of the wedding packages, so you may be able to get married afterwards with those packages. The Info Sheet I have for a Silver Wedding Renewal is from 2013 when I booked my wedding...I will see if I can find it in my email. If it is not on the website anymore you may want to check with the WC to see if they even offer it now, their policies and prices change every year. I have mine ceremony set for around 4 or its it 4:30....I'm not sure I forget now! somewhere around there....I'm hoping that will be a good time. @@Kerrierf What was your timeline for the day?

@@Jc14 I stayed at the Punta Cana The first time I went in Building 2000 on the map...I thought it was great. This time we are going to the Bavaro Section, I have heard it is good. The Palace Section is being renovated from May to Nov this year...you may want to check if they will be finished with renos. I am Doing a Symbolic Wedding. I am doing my Legal Ceremony before...I was going to do it after...but Carolina told me that because its technically a "renewal" package you have to show your marriage certificate. You may want to email and confirm with her. I used Laura at the Flight Center in the Beaches because she is right next to my office...best advise find someone compatible with you...the right TA is the most important part. Join the Canadian Destination Weddings Facebook page...lots of good TA's on there from what I hear. @@samilein Not to far away at all...anytime between now and Nov is fine I email Carolina with the same centerpeice...but asking for an open rose in a brighter pink...$35 per centerpeice...wa-wa...out of price range.. funny there is such a price difference in what she quoted me and you...oh well. Maybe I send her too many emails and I'm getting on her nerves..lol @@Kerrierf Besides your beautiful wedding what was your Favourite part of the Trip / Resort?

@@Jc14 Congrats!! When I was at the resort 8 years ago the food was great. None of our group got sick... Other than hung over.. Lol my BF has been back 3 time since and she said no one had a problem with the food... The first time I went they didn't have the 24 snacks at the sports bar or the beach BBQs either there are tons of options. @@rebeccalane just came back and @@Kerrierf should be back soon...
