I booked my wedding date first because I wanted a specific date and when speaking with the resort they told me to book a wedding date first before flight....I'm not really sure how most people do it that way... But my travel agent said they have nothing to do with the wedding just the travel so...I don't know. I just sent in my $300 deposit 2 mins ago so now just waiting on conformation to make it official! So this the dress I wanted....it's a davids bridal dress only in stores, only in the US only $250.00 REGULAR price ( I can't remember the exact price but it was 200 & something). I was going to drive to Rochester in April to buy it... I went to website yesterday to get the product number so I could call them and make an apt but the dress is gone! can't seem to find it any where! So disappointed! I scanned the internet hoping to find one that someone is selling but nothing the only thing that came up was a website called sweetieveningdress, I assume they copycat dresses, they said the org price was 900.00 and they we charging 2 something...I don't know exactly now because I can't get into their website either now Help! Seems like 1 email per week so frustrating. I want April Fools as my wedding date @ the Grand Palladium Punta Cana. I will keep you posted on my prices. Most of my family will be flying from NL from both Deer Lake and St John's and my wedding will be early April but I haven't got my prices yet....as soon as I get some I will let you know....are your flights from NL direct? What carrier are you using? My TA told me to wait until June to get prices but I don't think I will wait that long.... I'm just waiting on conformation of my date from the resort because I have a specific date in mind, and then I think I will look for prices. Hopefully it won't be over 2000 like yours! My friend just had her wedding at the Bellagio it was so nice... She got married on the terrace and had her reception in the executive parlour suite... We were a small group of 25 it was great! For her hen party we took a limo to thunder down under (so much fun my face hurt from laughing)..and then finished off the night at Hyde. Hyde was very crowded but very cool... I'm so sorry to hear of your loss!! If you have a picture of him I've seen people do memory lockets attached to their bouquet. It's small so your guests and wedding party may not even notice but he will be there for you. I think you can get them on Etsy. Hope this helps! Phew! I have such a tight budget that I can afford any mistakes...I'm a phone call type person so all this emailing without physically talking to someone makes me nervous sometimes...especially when I have no idea what I'm doing!! I hate shopping in general ..I know I'm a weirdo...but I find it frustrating because I don't know what fits my body and I have a hard time with pushy sales people, I am weak. The first time I went dress shopping I went alone... none of my family or best friends live near me..it was a bad idea! I almost got pushed into a dress that was out of my budget that I didn't even really like! The second time my neighbour went with me...she's a shopper and very fashionable! She stood up to the sales people for me and I had someone to laugh at some of the dresses with... Way more fun... Still no dress... But now I know what I'm looking for...third time is the charm right? My suggestion is take the person or people that you will have the best experience with...don't take people because you think you have to...don't take your best friend if she's pushy, don't take your MIL if it's awkward...take the person you will have the most fun with and will let you make your own decision but keep you from looking like a wreck!
