My friend used disposable cameras at her wedding ... Waste of money... Pictures were awful and she spent slot of money developing them... I figure most people will have a digital camera or camera phone.. So I'm just hoping that they email them...I might nag them too after... It's perfect for my bridesmaids because on the last day we don't leave the resort until 4 or 5pm so this way we can still swim without worrying about packing a wet swim suit back in our bags... I think @@Mels84 had a private reception at a restaurant, which is what I'm thinking of doing as well and a sound system is an extra for that....however with the beach bash it may be different...from your email it looks to be included for the beach bash. Not sure yet....I want to but I don't know what to do...I'm thinking it might be a photobook that I will give them after the wedding and an OOT bag...or get excited kit before the wedding.

ohhhh....I like this idea! I might have to steal it! then you don't have to carry it with you! But you have to pay for shipping...hmm...I'll have to see what the difference is price-wize. Punta cana section is where I stayed last time I was there I loved it! We stayed in building 2000. The go to pool for us when we were there last time was the one between building 2000 and 3000...the go to Bar was the punta cana lobby bar. I wish all pools were open late!

@@Mels84 You are totally right about having the home base the lobby bar for anyone staying at the palace section... For me I'm in the spread out Bavaro section (palace will be under renovations while I'm there) so hemmingways is a good central option for me, but maybe the Bavaro lobby is a good choice too!! @@Kerrierf you are staying in the Palace section right? I think luckily for you the palace section is pretty contained I think there is a bar and pool and restaurant right in the middle! Plus you are close to the best private reception location. But so far what I've been reading Hemminway's Is the "must do" bar.... It's in the Bavaro section ...listed as the cocktail bar on the map... Halfway between the Bavaro pool and the lobby. There is also a brand new Adults only pool just opened that is NOT just for the royal section. It's some near the palace section and the spa... Best part is that it is open til midnight. If I find anymore tidbits I'll let you know I wanted to do a get together the first night and give out the welcome bags but We don't get into Punta cana until 8:30pm! Then we have to go through customs, get our bags, catch the shuttle and get checked in, plus I think it might be easier to pack if I assemble the bags there....so our first day is kind of wasted...now I don't know when to do it...any suggestions? I'm trying to see if they can change out flight times a little especially on the way back because a lot of my guests will have to overnight in Toronto! Not fun! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

@@acw271011 Wow..I think I must of be absent (mind and Body) from the forums while you had most of your medical problems, because I didn't know the full story til now! And as everyone has said..YOU ARE ONE STRONG WOMAN! So glad that you are ok!!!!! Everyone has a mate somewhere out there...sometimes it takes some people a little longer to find them...I believe in fate. Things don't always happen when you want them to but sometimes its when you need them to. Seems like you two were brought together just in time to save each other. It's a lovely love story. Sounds like you have made a good decision with the photographer according to marinah84. As for the make up that is something I'm a little afraid of too...I don't wear any make up in my everyday life, and very minimal when dressing up...I had my make up done for a friends wedding...they did a great job on my friend but when it came to me I looked like they shot me with a make-up gun! Even after we went back to the room took some of it off...it still looked horrible in pictures...so now I'm torn about what to do for my wedding.... let me know what you do! Once you actually book a place it will all start falling into place...(I believe you said that to me at one point! ) Can't wait to hear more about it!!

I will have to make a list like this A lot of my guests are first timers to All inclusive so I am research the resort a bit right now, it has changed so much since we were there in 2007... I'm trying to find out what all the hot spots are, best shows to see best bars to frequent...etc...I'm making my own little map as well...I kinda want to try to keep our group together without wasting to much time deciding what to do each day... I kinda wanna pick a "HOME" spot..so that way people can explore but always be able to find some of the group at the home spot...I don't know if that makes sense..or if it will just be a futile effort...but it's keeping me busy right now...lol So I just found out from the palladium addicts site that on friday nights they have a special BBQ dinner on the beach with two sittings at 6:30 and 8:30...requires reservations. There is also an app that tells you the schedule of activities for the day.

I'm working on starting a planning thread to keep my self organized....I'm so far out from my wedding date that there is not a lot I can do but I don't want to wait til last min either! I've started to do a first draft design of all my printable's like the welcome letter, bag logo, I Spy Game, Mad libs, Resort info, etc....So that when it comes down to crunch time I can just change a few small things and send it to be printed, hopefully during a vistaprint sale! Trying to figure out else what to do for OOT bags... now that everyone is paid in full for you...what the number difference from the original deposit booking date? Did you have many extra people?

@@Beachgirl622 Welcome!! Your wedding is about a month after mine! I'm also very excited to see reception pictures, because I'm also having a private reception and there is not much in the way of pictures anywhere! I'm pretty sure you can have a welcome party from what Carolina has told me before...There is a finger food menu...Not sure if you can have anything private at Hemingway's though. I will have look back thru my emails to see if I can find anything specific. I going to assume that most of you have seen this but just in case... I found a very interesting site : Palladium Addicts It has maps, resort info and tons of other things... if you going the forum you can talk to people who are posting live from the resort, or people who have been there numerous times.
