Does anyone mind sharing some contact info of any company they are getting these quotes from in the Cancun area?

Anyone have any advice on how to avoid those pesky vendor fees? BP told me I had to pay for the makeup artist to come in. I nearly died. I was ok with paying for a day pass but certainly not a $500 vendor fee. Any advise?

I'm also a NJ bride getttng married on May 4th, 2014 in Cancun. The costs up here to hold a wedding are just not worth it for me. I'd much rather go away and have a smaller more intimate wedding in a beautiful place. And party for a week straight with my loved ones.

Thank you for your advice. I kind of figured that would happen. Photos on the beach are just so beautiful. I'll just have to suck it up. lol I haven't yet decided if I am going barefoot or using a nice pair of flats.

I'm also planning on doing the ceremony on the beach. Did you find it difficult to walk in the sand with the long dress?

I haven't booked any vendors yet. But yes, I'm eyeing DelSol for photography, Tania, not sure on a DJ yet, and haven't even explored videographers yet. I would only have to pay the $500 for the DJ. the photographer, Tania and videographer only get a day pass. But still it all adds up. I'm glad you really liked all of the services that you chose. I can't wait to hear how your photos came out. What kind of music did JSAV play? Did they do a good job mixing? There is nothing worse than dancing to a song and all of a sudden it goes into another without a smooth transition. Pet peeve of mine. lol.

Well let's just hope they don't charge you. Those darn day passes are killing my budget! Between Tania, the photographers, dj, and other vendors, these fees are racking up quick! I wish the resort offered more than just 1 preferred vendor. They should have more options.

Did you reserve a day pass for Tania ahead of time and they just forgot to charge you for it?

Any BP brides out there hire a videographer? Is it worth it? Can I skip it? Any recommendations on companies?

I emailed her for a quote. I haven't booked her yet. My wedding is in May. Do you think I need to book now?

This goes out to any past Beach Palace Bride: Are you and your bridal party allowed to cut your wristbands off for the wedding day? That way they don't show up in the photos. If so, is there a fee?
