    I've been working with a destination wedding planner for a couple of months. She's been very responsive and reassuring. She's helped me come to point where Azul Sensatori and Azul Beach are my top picks. Plus she's arranged site visits and helped me with my STDs and website. Wouldn't it be in bad form to drop her now because I may get a better per night quote from another TA?

    No, we are staying at Secrets Silversands and just visiting the resorts for a couple of hours for a tour. I wish I had known about the Dress Rehearsal before we made our reservations in January. That would have really given us time to make a good decision. But, at least we'll get a chance to see the wedding locations. I don't really want to get married on a beach and want someplace a bit more private. The Azul Sky Wedding seems to fit.

    Many thanks to everyone who has reassured me about my gay friends and family visiting Azul Sensatori. Now, I can worry about prices, decorations, the ceremony, OOT bags, my shoes, my hair, his suit, invitations, STDs, etc. etc. etc. I hope I calm down before June 2014!!

    Tammy's prices do seem better. We'll make our final decision after our site visit in May.

    Thanks for the advice but 2 of the gay couples have kids under 18. We will be a large enough group (30 or so) that we probably won't interact much with the other guests. If the staff are ok, then we will go for it and pray for tolerance from the guests. On another topic, the initial quote from my TA for AS is about $850 per person for 4 nights without airfare. This is higher than most other resorts. Several guests have told me they want to stay for 7 days but at that price they may not be able to afford it. I'm going to check around before making a commitment.

    Azul Sensatori is my first choice for my June 2014 wedding. Lots of questions. But, before I get too attached, I'd like to know if gay couples will feel welcome there? We have several relatives and close friends who are in same sex relationships. It is important to us that they attend, feel comfortable and have a good time. Does anyone have any experience with this at Azul Sensatori?

    I'm a June 2014 bride. Since both of us have been divorced, we are having a symbolic ceremony in Riviera Maya. Otherwise, we would have to spend too much money on translating documents plus we don't need blood tests. We haven't decided if we will tell anyone about the Chicago legal marriage.

    I'm from Chicago area also. We like Riviera Maya because it is a 3 hour nonstop flight from OHare. I'm looking at Azul Sensatori, Azul Beach and Now Jade because they allow kids. . We are visiting all 3 in May when we go to Secrets Silversands for vacation. Our wedding is in June 2014.

    We are going on vacation to Secrets Silversands in May 2013. We like the area and the resort. For our wedding next year, we will have at least 4 teenagers so an all-adult all-inclusive is not an option. I am considering Azul Beach, Azul Sensatori and Now Jade. Can anyone advise me on pros and cons for each?
