QUESTION LADIES: For the women who have done their wire transfer, do you mind me asking did you do it through your own bank or through your travel agent? My WC is asking to do this through my travel agent which we are ok we just have to pay a fee. We are still trying to contact our own bank to see how much the fees will be. Also, how much were the fees (if you had any)? It's just confusing since the first WC said we would do the transfer and my new WC is now saying I have to do it through my travel agent. Thank you in advance

Definitely bringing my own decorations, center pieces, bouquets and boutineers. I hope to use the bridesmaid bouquets for part of the center pieces as well. There are great ideas on pinterest. I've pinned all my possible options. My fiance's cousin was married in punta cana last year as well and she to brought her own decor.

Do you mind me asking which coordinator you are dealing with? I just want to secure my date, like NOW and give myself some piece of mind. We don't have much room to move date's around because it's my fiance's grandma's 90th birthday the same month and the family specifically asked us to move our wedding earlier (hence early November). Ahh! My mind is spinning!

Hi everyone, we just did our preliminary prebooking for our flights for November 2014 and have 20 people booked. But my travel agent is having a tough time trying to confirm the dates with the resort because they are taking a long time to reply. I understand I am well in advance and it's slower season so many of the staff are taking holidays. But my guests are preparing for first week of November and I'm having a growing anxiety that for some reason this week might not be available. My main questions are: - How early did you ladies secure/deposit for your wedding? - ANY ladies out there having a wedding in November 2014??? Just having a mild panic attack here... :c Tricia

It says under 100 people. Many brides seem to be choosing this location for their reception but there is minimal to none information on it. Let me know if you find out anything else, or even better, pictures! And welcome to the club

Glad that someone brought this up. We as a group have very talented friends/family who are photographers/videographers coming as guests and we too wondered if it would be ok to just use them instead of Tropical Pictures. It isn't worth the cost if someone could do it for us for free I was really worried about the possible "outside vendor fees". Let me know ladies if after speaking with the coordinator if you had any extra costs by doing it this way.

Are these the locations for private receptions after the ceremony? If so, are either of you ladies planning to have music or an open bar?

TOTALLY in the same position. The reviews are nerve racking but the resort has everything that we want. But do I sacrifice the customer service for it? I have a wide variety of ages going thus I want this to be as stress free as it can be. I would love to know if you fully commit to the resort. Happy planning.

Hi ladies, In the process of choosing our resort. Our original focus was the Hard Rock but there have been a greater amount of positive reviews for the Majestic Colonial. We want this is to be a fun trip for everyone of all ages. Anyone care to share any experience with the casino? I have some older ladies who would enjoy hitting up the slots. Thank you advance.

I am extremely new to this process, I've tried to post something before but have no clue where it went. Hmm. Point of the matter is I am in the processing of choosing our resort and the two contenders are the Hard Rock and the Majestic Colonial. The Hard Rock has amazing pictures but the only thing that is causing my anxiety with them is the reviews on Trip Adviser. The Majestic has more positive reviews and is ranked higher in regards to resorts. I hope any of you lovely ladies can enlighten me on your reasons for choosing the Hard Rock and for past brides any feedback on their stay. Thank you in advance
