Thanks for the reviews Ladies! Both your weddings look great!! and your pictures were amazing I have just under a year to go, and I am so excited to get married, and reading your reviews really helps me be able to envision what I can expect for my own wedding at the GBPJ. I was wondering how long before the wedding should I start looking into the flowers? I am not picky about flowers, but I am going to be pretty specific on the colour. When did you guys start picking flowers? I am just wondering in case I have to upgrade them. I'm sure it will take longer to go through the outside vendor. Thanks

Beautiful Lace Davids Bridal Gown WG3263 NEVER BEEN WORN I fell in love with another dress and now have this one that has never been worn and has also not be altered in any way. I paid $790 for it, but I see that it is now only $650 in the store. So I am willing to go down to $500 or best offer. Dress size is 12-14 and any alterations can be made to the dress so it will fit you perfectly. Sweetheart bodice is feminine and chic. Side-drape drape and subtle ruching create a slim and stunning silhouette. Lace over satin fabric adds contrast and texture. Sweep train http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Sweetheart-Strapless-Lace-Gown-WG3263_Bridal-Gowns-Shop-By-Designer-Davids-Bridal-Collection I will ship this dress anywhere in the US and Canada for free

I have talked (emailed) Stephany about this and she said that the resort photographers cannot go in your room if you don't want them to. They just want to sell you the biggest package they offer which includes the pre-ceremony photos in your room. If you say you do not want them they will be at the ceremony only. Hopefully this helps!!

Ok I just decided that the $800 vendor fee is not worth it at all! So I have requested Chris Lee to shoot my wedding and they tell me that he is booked for me. Hopefully I get him, I have been checking out all the pictures on his facebook page. Not sure what package we are going with yet, but this forum has made me feel much better about the resort photographers. Please Please if anyone had Chris for their wedding please share some pictures.

I am also arriving from Toronto on April 6, and then getting married at 4pm right after you...I have the Dolce Vita booked for dinner. Flowers don't really matter too much for me, I also don't know what to do for after dinner, Probably just go to one of the bars and finish at the disco, I really don't want to spend all the money to reserve a space when its an all-inclusive. Also planning on bringing paper lanterns for the gazebo and chair sashes and such. I am most likely leaning towards getting an outside photographer. I found one with prices I like and he is willing to pay for half of the $800 vendor fee. My FI thinks Im crazy for paying that much but I am just not happy with the pictures that I have seen from the resort photographer

For any previous Brides that brought there own chair sashes. How big were they?? In the package that is. Hopefully not too heavy I really don't want to bring lots of extra stuff with me, we are going to be in Jamaica for two weeks and would rather not fill up my luggage allowance with lots of wedding stuff.

YAY!! That is awsome! I am also getting married on April 9 2014 at 4 pm. Small world. We filled out the forms, but have not been asked for any credit card info, or asked for a deposit of any kind. Hopefully this is OK, I would hate to lose my date and time, since I hear that dates are filling up fast and we already have our travel plans arranged. We are still not sure what to do about a photographer yet. The $800 vendor fee if killing me, but I really want to have good pictures to remember my day. I guess that is part of the 'charm' of having a destination wedding. Just have to learn to go with the flow.

Are your pictures taken by Chris Lee?? I am really worried about the resort photographer and if yours are from him it will take a huge load off my mind. Did you purchase any extra pictures other than the ones included for free in your package? If you don't mind my asking what were the prices approx?? -

Has anyone looked into how much a day pass costs? If it is reasonable then could we have an outside photographer be a 'guest' at our wedding? and invite him/her to the reception afterwards so we wouldn't be lying?? I really want to find a way around paying such a huge outside vender fee -
