I am planning on having the Unforgettable package and I am super excited about having the steel drums for the ceremony, we had already planned on paying extra for the steel drums so when we found out that this package included it we decided to go with it and have it included!!

I love the look of a birdcage or fascinator. But I am wondering what everyone's thoughts are on having a bright color for a fascinator/birdcage? Does anyone think this will look funny with a white dress? Or should I just go with the traditional white?

Each wedding package comes with a set number of pictures, and you can add a photography package to get more. I was given three packages to choose from, but I still changed mine up a bit, they are very happy to help you out! SILVER: 25 photos in a CD (room + ceremony) $ 350 USD. GOLD: 40 photos in a CD (room + ceremony + beach session)) $ 500 USD. PLATINUM: 70 photos in a CD (room, ceremony, beach, 2 hours of reception) $ 800 USD. To contact Chris Lee I became facebook friends with him. I haven't received or requested menus, I picked based on location only and figured I will sort out food during my meeting when we get there. I am also planning on doing the same with flowers.

Yes I did book Chris Lee. I had booked him in April and I saw that you had also booked him as well so I e-mailed them after reading that to double check and they told me that I still have Chris Lee booked. My wedding isn't until 4pm, and I told them that I didn't want the 'getting ready photos' before the wedding so I am assuming he is just booked back to back.

We are planning on going with the Unforgettable package. Are your flowers one of the free ones or did you upgrade? Im very happy that I am going with Chris Lee as my photographer as well. Do you know what photography package you are going to have?? Or are you working out something custom for yourself?? I am still undecided on what package to have and will probably be modifying a package to suite our needs.

I asked about not having to pay the minister fees and I was told that I still have to pay them for both the symbolic and civil ceremony. We were planning on getting legally married in Canada before we left then just doing a symbolic ceremony there, but decided it didnt make sense to pay for a license here and then again in Jamaica. You can write your own vows however you like and the minister will read them instead of his regular religious ones. We are planning on writing our own because we are also not religious. I believe there is a thread here about writing your own ceremony as well!! Hope that helps!

Yes they can change the date!! We were originally booked to fly on a Sunday and we were just told a couple of weeks ago that our flight had been changed to the Saturday! I wasn't very happy about it but that was Air Transits fault not our TA. Yes both flights were changed.

I am also dealing with Marlin Travel in Kitchener! I originally started with Flight Center, but that TA was EVEN WORSE if you can believe it!! We have the same deal as you but we are paying $1607 with tax for the Royal Golden. I looked up the rates and flight times when I heard that the flight times were out and pretty bad, and the price on my travel date is now up to $1900-something with taxes so I am somewhat happy about my rate but I know that I have lots of people who are waiting for a cheaper rate to come out later on and are not going with our group rate...Not sure if I should send out a mass e-mail and let them know that the price is much higher than what we have now, and we still have the option to change it if it drops.

I can also return the dress to Davids Bridal and get store credit, and pass that credit on to you!!! That is a $790 value for ONLY $500!!!

I was wondering what past Brides did about the ID bracelet that you wear in the resort?? Can we cut it off for the wedding day? and if so will they give you a new one after?? thanks

I have to agree with you. I totally was all for booking a place and just showing up. Now because of this site I have soooo many ideas of what I want to do 'extra' that my FI keeps telling me to stop worrying about the wedding. But I do love every minute of it! I'm only getting married once so I really want to fully enjoy every moment of being engaged and planning my wedding, and this site has been a HUGE help and lots of fun!!

Yes I tired this one too. I too was told by different Jamaican photographers that most of them are known and recognized at the GBPJ. I have also decided to go with Chris Lee I have heard some good things about him, and there will also be at least three people there with good DSL cameras and my maid of honor is an armature photographers so she should be able to get some good pics after the ceremony No plans to do a TTD as of yet.
