Congrats to all the August brides!! My wedding is on August 3 at Moon Palace in Cancun! Do not feel ready at all!! Packing up things for OOT bags and favors this weekend to make sure we will have space for everything. I am super nervous!!! Hoping packing some stuff will calm me down. Last fitting is next Wednesday and flying out the 30th!!! Feel like I need a master checklist as I pack so if anyone has one handy please send it along!

I am trying to figure out what might be fun to go into the OOT bags for kids. i don't want to put immodium or aspirin in theirs but don't want to just skip them either. Right now I have shutter shades, some candy, beach balls, and flashing rings... please let me know what you may have put into your bags for children or let me know if you have any suggestions! Hi Ladies! Just 13 days until I fly to Moon Palace and I do not yet have a playlist, nor do I have a clue as to what kind of music will get people dancing and having a good time Does anyone have a playlist for 3-4 hours of songs they used that worked the crowd pretty well at their wedding? My brother is a teenager so I had him putting some of the newer pop stuff on there but I really don't listen to much music myself so can use any suggestions. Thank you in advance!!!

Hi Kaliellis, Your WC will likely email you vendors for decorations with links to their sites. I was sent links to zuniga and gamanteles. You will have to email a rep to get price quotes, from my experience. The links are http://www.grupogama.mx/ (gamanteles) and http://www.decocancun.com/ (zuniga). A lot of brides bring their own decorations too. Let me know if I can answer anything else!

Hi Jenny, I came across your post while looking at different MP threads. You should join the Newbie, Moon Palace 2013 thread or the 2012 thread! Tons of brides have posted so much information on there and reply really quickly to people like you and I who are trying to figure everything out. From what I have read in the threads most brides choose the complimentary package and then add on any extras they may want, to get the most flexibility and lowest cost. I am not sure about your reception question, but am sure the threads will have great ideas or somebody who may know better. I did see some people say they opted for a bonfire celebration after a short dinner, and that that was more fun and informal. Congrats to you and good luck!

Are any brides considering using an outside vendor for hair and make up? I saw good things about MVP hair and makeup, but am hoping an outside vendor fee won't apply! Thanks!

Hi Stef, First- congrats on your April wedding!!!! You must be so excited and busy! I read a ton of reviews in the 2012 thread, but have not finished all of them so I may be asking questions I can find answers to on there. I only found two or three wedding reviews but they were all old, looking for more recent reviews. The chapel I am referring to is the one for religious ceremonies, But we may end up in a gazebo, I am still trying to confirm. My WC did move our reception to the Tucan Terrace which I read is close to the Gazebo and also saw on the map as being right by a gazebo, so I think if it moves to the chapel I will just ask my WC to change it to the closest terrace again, she is pretty awesome! Happy you also have a great WC, mine has sent me a lot of info so if there is anything I can help answer for anyone I am happy to do so! My biggest stressor right now is trying to figure out what add ons to get for our reception, we are having it on the Caribbean terrace and I was thinking Chinese lamps and otherwise am at a loss but reading other people's posts has been helpful I will let you know when I have more questions, trying to keep it together! Would love to hear about your plans if you have a moment, everyone has such lovely ideas!! Thank you again Stef!!

H Hi Charlene, Many congrats on your September wedding! I also am getting married before my wedding in August and have received my invoice for my symbolic ceremony. I did not see any admin costs on there! Also, my uncle is a minister and they are allowing him to officiate our ceremony, so it will likely not be a problem doing your own vows. I just gave my WC a heads up and she noted it on our invoice. Hope this helps!
