  1. Hi BrideToBe12! Will you please send me this attachment in a personal message? Please let us know how your wedding turns out! I have 30+ people traveling with us for our wedding and I have the same reception ideas as you do! I feel so clueless and realize that I might need to upgrade my package to the Dreams package. The one we requested only allows for 1 1/2 hours for dinner at our reception. Not long enough AT ALL for us! LAST DREAM DETAILS - BLESSING 2012 NUEVO spa10.doc
  2. Luckily I have save the dates out! We sent them out electronically and signed up through destinationweddings.com. I have a few guests who are booked already, and I have a photographer. That's it! That's a great idea to look at past posts for ideas! I think I am just overwhelmed like most brides. I want to find other brides who have chosen the semi-private/ or private dinner and had a dance reception during the reception. My package that I have requested only allows for 1 1/2 hrs in the restaurant. This seems extremely rushed to me! Thank you for your post!
  3. We chose the Lindo I'm just nervous about what to expect for the reception. I have no idea where to go from here. The onsite wedding coordinator (I'm working with Idalia Ruiz) has just sent me the contract for me to send in the deposit to officially "confirm" our date. I hope I'm not the only bride who feels clueless! I'm kind of a "figure it all out now" instead of doing everything in steps. It's stressing me out! :S
  4. I am in this same predicament! I can't justify spending an arm and a leg for a dj that I'm not sure will even play music that we like. Our resort only allows for semi-private dinners in one of their restaurants and so I have no idea how to go about planning for a reception. Is anyone else having a semi-private dinner, and how are you going about planning your reception/dancing? I HAVE to have music and dancing! I want it to be as close to traditional but still very light and care-free! My wedding will only have 30 ish guests coming.
  5. I share these same concerns! I am having a smaller wedding with approximately 40 people and want to still have a fun dance reception with party music, but I don't want to be running back and forth to the ipod when we want to do our first dance/father-daughter dance/cake cutting, etc. I just booked our date for November 10th, 2013 and feel that I don't know where to go from here!! Is there only an option for a semi-private dinner? ..and where is everyone doing there dancing??

  7. Our date has been officially confirmed for November 10th, 2013!! Now I need to secure a photographer, dj (possibly), and go dress shopping!! I'm so nervous to do that part! Any ideas for possible vendors?? I love "moments that matter" photography, but we have a smaller budget and I'm wondering what packages work for our smaller price range . Do any brides have suggestions for vendors??

  9. I am just about to sign our contract for the Paraiso Lindo! We were told that we also have access to the Maya as well. What are you ceremony/reception plans?? I have so many questions, I feel clueless!
  10. Haha, I love your personality! I kind of like the idea of people being in awwee of the wedding , but at the same time I would not appreciate the awkward hotel guests hovering around :S.
  11. Awesome! I will definitely look over the email more thoroughly from Tammy . I am so indecisive and have been stressed that I haven't decided on a resort yet! I will for sure make my decision this week! Thanks ladies!
  12. Hi ladies! I am planning a November 2013 wedding and am very interested in the Iberostar Resorts! I have a million questions! How did you ladies decide on your resort choice? Where will you hold your ceremony? How many guests? Will you be doing a semi-private dinner/ or private dinner (beach or restaurant)? Did you hire dj services for dancing or rent sound system equipment for the reception? I have signed up with destinationweddings.com and my wedding consultant is amazing! Her name is Terri Smith and I love her! My problem is deciding on a resort that has the best wedding/reception options without killing our budget. We want to keep it on the lower end because we are both finishing our schooling and have a 17 month-old daughter. I would love any of your suggestions and further input!
  13. Hi there! I am new to this website! I am also considering the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo as a possible wedding venue/resort. We are also looking into the Gran Porto. May I ask why you both chose Iberostar? I have so many questions and have no idea where to even begin!
