My travel agent was able to press the issue and get them to confirm the Skyterrace for ceremony and skydeck for reception when I booked in march last year! I paid a $200 deposit for the complimentary package to secure the date and location. The deposit just gets deducted from my final total bil at the end of the wedding. Definitely worth it to not be worried about the location all year

We have 30 guests booked. Yes I have photos. PM me your email and I can send them. Mario Yam was the one who did my site visit and he had a tablet full of photos from events and weddings and he gave me some really good info on what decor to order and how much of everything to order. The space is not super huge but it definitely needs a bit of decor and lighting to define the space. The two best tips Mario gave me was: Dont skimp on the lighting and dont bother ordering a dance floor unless you are down on the beach. He said just get the lights that shine down on the floor and save your self a bunch of money.

Hi Everyone! I was in Mexico over Christmas/New Years and was able to visit Beach Palace on a site visit. Mario Yam showed me and my fiance all around the hotel and to the various wedding ceremony and reception locations. It is absolutely beautiful!! If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask here or PM me. I had a notepad with a millions things that I asked Mario so I was very thorough!! haha

We did the iPod and it worked great! The only problem we had was the music shut off on us during our first dance which really sucked, but we just took a shot and they fixed the problem quickly. My group is a similar size so I was thinking the same thing. Good to know! Thanks!!!!

Hi ladies! Got so much done on my wedding planning check-list this weekend and it feels awesome! My dress arrived and looks beautiful (alteration appointment booked for March). Ordered the bridesmaid dresses and shoes, my mom got her outfit, bought these beautiful rhinestone starfish necklaces for the bridesmaids, and I ordered some super cute custom napkins and coasters for the cocktail party. Feels SO good to be checking out big items like that!! I am headed to Cancun area for Christmas/New years and I am doing a site visit at Beach Palace on December 17. If anyone wants me to ask any specific questions or take photos of certain things, let me know! Happy planning!

I spoke with my wedding coordinator yesterday and was asking about the table sizes that BP provides for the private reception on the sky terrece. She mentioned the round tables fit 8 but can squeeze 10 if needed....I am going to have three tables for my guests but it looks like we might need to make one table a 10 person table since two more guests are planning to book. Did anyone or Is anyone planning to fit 10 at a round table? Was it WAY too squished? Thanks!!

One of my bridesmaids is Spanish so fingers crossed there will be no confusion! Have you bought your dress yet? I haven't even started looking! So many styles I like but don't want to chose one that I'll be drenched in sweat after 10 mins of having it on! Yup I just ordered mine at the end of September! If you look in my profile there is a photo of the sample dress from the store. It is so light and flowy so I think it is going to be ok for the sweltering hot rooftop lol. What time is your ceremony booked for? I kind of took a risk and chose the 4:00pm time. I know it is going to be even hotter than 6:00pm but I reaaaaalllly wanted the turquoise water. I have been to Cancun many times and the one thing that bothers me is the hotels all cast such huge shadows over the ocean in the later afternoon. I just hope it isnt too unbearable. I ordered a bunch of paper fans from Beau-Coup to place on everyones seat incase people start melting away, haha

Ive also tried researching a salon that we could go to outside the hotel. I would love the artists to come to the room but for another $800, I don't think so. Thanks for the info ladies! I was kind of worried about that too but I am planning on bringing them a clear photo of the makeup and hair I want and having a briesmaid with me to makesure I dont start looking like a hooker! haha As for leaving the hotel I thought about that too but knowing my luck I would get in an accident or get stuck in traffic and just risk way too much stress. My thought process it would just be so nice to stay at the the resort sipping memosas and getting pampered instead of rushing around the crazy Cancun streets! lol On another note I am getting married a few weeks before you so I will be sure to post some pictures of my hair and makeup done at the salon! Atleast then if it is TERRIBLE I can warn you in time! haha

The only thing I'm wondering is if anyone has any feedback or has booked their hair and make up yet? Any recommendations?! Thank you I was originally going to go with Tania Tagel for the airbrush makeup and hair for myself & my bridesmaids but the outside vendor fee is just so crazy. I cant imagine spending the $250ish for my hair and makup and then the increased $800 outside vendor fee...which is still INSANE in my mind! So I have decided to just get my hair and makeup done at the salon. After doing a bunch of research and chatting with some past brides I am actually ok with not getting the airbrush makeup done. A bride I was speaking with said the airbrush makeup looked nice but by the end of the evening looked very worn and streaky from sweat and humidity. She couldnt blend it away so she actually ended up going to her room, removing it all and then applying her normal makeup. Seems like this would be such a waste if it happened to me after paying almost $1000 with the fee added :S
