    Well girls, we drove to ATL yesterday and partied all night with our friends, then got up at 4 to be at the airport this morning. We are sitting here waiting for our flight to MX and it finally feels so real!! So excited and just wanted to say one last thank you to everyone on this thread. You girls have all been so awesome ad helpful! See ya when I'm a MRS!

    My friend said just tip in USD. My fiancé says "if you want to tip the value of about 50 then give 50!" Lol.. Men. Always such a simple and obvious answer! My friend said if you want to tip the "value" of about 50 you could too about 30. I guess it's just really whatever you feel comfortable with or feel like you want to give. Hope this helps!

    It's really easy and pretty cheap. Mostly depends on the stems you choose. Just look up a video on google. All you do is start with a foam flower block and stab all the stems in to cover it. Easy!

    I am having DJ doremixx, but like JMK said, they have implemented a new rule about DJ vendors. I don't know if its all DJ's or just doremixx, but look into it bc even with the vendor fee doremixx was the same price as the resort DJ. The resort DJ was 1600 and doremixx is 800 plus the vendor fee. I couldn't find reviews on the site DJ and since I had read SO many reviews about doremixx, it was an obvious decision for me. Unfortunately, like I said, I'm pretty sure he isn't allowed at Azul anymore, but others might be.

    I feel like this is such a great question. I don't intend to get any money "exchanged" into pesos so i am more than likely tipping in US dollars. That being said, I feel like it is important to think about the fact that if I wanted to tip the WC the equivelant of about $50, I actually need to give way less considering how far the USD goes in their country. I don't know... Maybe I'll look up the conversion and tip accordingly but still in USD. Did I confuse you... Lol!

    Hi! I used destinationweddings.com as well. I feel like we had a completely different experience though. My contact through dw.com is Marcia and I have spoken with her several times on the phone including just yesterday for an hour! When I first booked with my resort she helped us with all that. She made the actual reservation for the room block and every one of my guests booked their room through her. She has been in email contact with all mg guests, set up transfers to and from the resort for every person, etc. Everyone even made their payment through her. She also got us an upgrade on our room for free. Did you actually use your dw.com contact to book your room? Did your guests use her? Like I said, it sounds like maybe you had a different experience. I talk to her all the time so I intend to ask her for her direct mailing address and will send her either a gift basket of sorts or a tip for about $50-100. Hope this helps!

    Yay! Sounds fun!! I'm so proud of you (lol) for not letting it bother you about your friend. I hit don't understand ppl. One thing I also really don't understand is how that's even possible. For my resort- final payments were due in may and of course you need airfare, so I don't understand how someone could decide they're not coming this close to the wedding anyhow. Anyway- like you said- don't even let THAT get you down! Best of luck with everything. I can not wait to see pictures from everyone's weddings as well!!!

    Ladies- I have officially crossed over from "stressed" to absolutely 100% "excited!!" Yesterday I finished packing all wedding related items- as far as linens, decorations, favors, oot bag stuff, etc. It took 3 large suitcases! Ahhh! Haha I'm just happy it all packed!! Now I just have to pack our clothes, toiletries... Regular vacation stuff! We fly out Sunday but we are flying out of ATL and we live in CLT so we leave Saturday! I'm sooooo excited! Hearing how well everyone's weddings have gone so far is just making me that much more excited. Thank you ladies for all your amazing help, support, advice, ideas, etc through this process!

    I leave in 5 days for Azul, and we will be married in 11 days and I'm soooo excited!! I just want to thank all the wonderful ladies on the thread for all your help and advice. I could not have done it without you all!!!

    I guess you could use scissors, but it really is SO much easier with the paper cutter, and if you intend to do any other DIY, you will use it a LOT! You can get one at michaels for pretty cheap especially if you use a coupon- they have 40% off coupons allll the time!

But it has at least 95% of my wedding. I leave in less than 2 weeks and just today did another project! Lol I need to stop and pack!     If photography is a very important part for you (it was for me) I suggest even more than that. We booked a photographer for 7 hours and I think that will allow him time to capture the entire day in addition to formal pics. Some people are not nearly as interested in pictures, though. So it's your call
