So my FI's suit came today!! I am so excited for him to try it on tonight!! So far from what I can tell by just touching it, it seems like really nice quality and a job well done but the true test will be how it looks on and how FI feels about it. Lol. We went with the glen check grey and are thinking of having the other guys wear a solid grey. We will have them order as soon as FI approves his I will definitely keep you updated on what he thinks and how it looks on him so far- here is just a quick picture I snapped with my phone:

June 2013 brides- what are you doing?
MMK0386 replied to kellip17's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I'm so sorry to hear about your dress... What a huge bummer! It will all work out, though so don't stress about it. I actually feel so on top of things yet at the same time like I have so much to do... I definitely feel like most of the "ordering" is done. I have in my possession or ordered and on the way just about every decor item, gift, jewelry, etc. there are just a few things left to order but not much at all! We ordered FI's suit from studio suits and it came today!!! I can't wait for him to try it on! Fingers crossed that it needs no alterations... I need to sit down and do "planning" stuff... Vs ordering/DIY stuff ....Write out the exact schedule/timeline for the day and for the reception, make music selections (ahhh!!!!), make sure my photographer knows the most important shots I want, etc. And I have BIG news... Call us crazy but we bought a house on Sunday!!!! We close May 17th and we leave for the wedding June 22, so YES we are nuts to put so much o n our plates at once, but boy are we excited!! I haven't even told a lot of fam and friends bc you know how real estate can be... Anything can happen! But I feel like since I only "know" you girls through the forum and not in "real life" I can tell you... Does that make sense? Maybe I'm just nuts... Lol! Wish us luck! By the way- jut about all of us are in double digit countdown!! Whoop!!!! Happy planning, girls.... This is definitely the home stretch! -
June 2013 brides- what are you doing?

I don't think that's cheap at all! Very good idea and like Shannon said- I actually think that is common. Why pay twice for something?? -
If you find any info on this please let me know. I am so torn with what to do as far as lighting. I am doing paper lanterns and I know everyone usually gets the LED lights for them but I read somewhere one bride said it was well lit and it don't make a difference that the actual lanterns had lights. I am wondering if anyone has tips/info on how important strands of lights and/or lights in the lanterns would actually be...? Thanks in advance ladies!

I'm so glad to hear they are nice! I'm so anxious to get mine... I already had chair sashes and I ordered 2 bolts of organza for the gazebo on eBay, but I ordered table linens from tableothfactory and I can't wait to see them! -
FRUGAL BRIDES - FOUND A NEW WEBSITE

Awesome! That website just got a ton a traffic from BDW! Haha -
We sent out official invites in January with an RSVP of March 15 and our wedding is June 28. We had booked a room block back in March 2012, though and at that time I sent email save the dates and encouraged everyone to book within the first 30 days so I didn't have to pay the deposit to hold that many rooms. It was very successful. Once we sent out our official invites most people were already book. I did it more as a formality and a few more people did book after that so that was good. I mentioned on the invite when to book by (as well as on our wedding website). I also dated the RSVP for sooner than that so I could order things and get going with the planning. Hope this helps!

Thank you! The tank tops and bathing suits are all actually wal-mart!! So cheap and actually pretty nice quality! The brides entourage rhinestones are from a website called Bella Designs http://www.belladesignsstl.com/category_s/1827.htm The robes are from Gap and then I had them embroidered at an embroidery place at the mall. Hope this helps!

Thank you! Yes, everything was iron on. most of the things came already made. The letter I used for the initials on the makeup bag I bought as a sheet of letters A-Z. I letters for the "I DO" were the same letters, and you can see I added rhinestones to make the letters bolder and then I made the ring by hand.

UPDATE: So I bought a few more supplies and finished the tank tops and bathing suits for my girls. Everything came out so nice... I'm so happy with them and can't WAIT to give them to my friends. I think they will love them and be so surprised. I hope so anyway! The robes I didn't make, but I just wanted to show you how mine turned out since one of said you got robes for your girls. Sorry this is sideways- I'll be honest I don't feel like rotating it and re-uploading it. You get the idea, though. Bride's Entourage and Bride Tanks: These are quilted makeup bags that I put the girls initials on, but I will fill the bag with either a pair of sunglasses that I got for them or the "bridesmaid survival kit." If i can find the sunglasses case I'm looking for, then definitely the survival kit. This is the flower girl tank and a grey dress I made her. The dress is to match our robes that we will wear while we get ready. Close up of the back of the dress: Front of the dress: These are our robes. (Sorry they def need to be ironed!) Here is one of the robes hanging. (I didn't make the robes- I had them embroidered at the mall) My tank top for the farewell brunch and/or the plane ride home: These are hard to see, but it's a blue thong that says "bride." This will be one of my "something blues." I didn't make these either-- cheap find at Target!! I was planning on making them, but then thought I might as well just buy them while I saw them. These projects were so fun and east, ladies! Give them a try- your friends will love their gifts, I think! Happy Planning! -Megan
