Beautiful photos!! Can't wait to see more. SO happy we got to meet...just sad that our trips didn't overlap all too much. I felt like I had known you for awhile though (hence the showing of the blood shot eye and horror flight story) . So happy for you and Doug. I'll be checking in to hear more soon xo

Glad to hear some details...sounds like a beautiful day! Uh oh...what happened?!!! So sorry to hear of a screw up. I hope it wasn't something huge. I thought you might like the options for pictures. There are some breath taking areas. Excited to be on our way soon. I hope the weather holds out for the rest of your trip (and mine lol)

I saw this on Facebook recently and chuckled. Weddings really do bring out the worst in some people! That's incredibly tacky and not worth the time, in my opinion. My husband laughs at me because I have this saying that I always use in situations like this but it's so true... too many people focus on the wedding, instead of the marriage. Meaning too many of us women get told that our wedding day is OUR day and fairy tale this and princess that. I think it warps people perceptions on whats really important. The wedding is absolutely one of THE MOST important days of our lives BUT what I think gets missed in the process is that this day is representative of a MARRIAGE! To me, vowing to spend the rest of my life with my best friend and starting that journey together with family was too special to tarnish with bills or talk of who paid what and who didn't. Not to say we are perfect but I don't get how some completely miss how special and sacred the day is and focus just on logistics. Sorry for the rant. Gets me so flustered!

Groomsmen Suggestions !
MrsCtoB replied to FutureMrsVanthof's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
All great suggestions so far! Linen and white are great options and you could always add a vest as mentioned above. Don't forget that a tie, bout, suspenders, vest can all add some color and break up the white too! I like the gray or navy blue suggestion also...depending on the other colors you might use in your theme, I think they both could compliment nicely. We did linen pants and vests for our groomsmen with white dress shirt and a blush tie. Hubs wore the same but we added the jacket. The girls were in a bright pink/red color (pomegrante from Alfred Angelo). The beading on my dress was more silvery than yours but I liked how it all came together. Hope that helps -
It really is! @@acw271011 I would say yes, we have spent most of our time at the Golden pool. On previous trips, we have really been looking to relax and the Golden pool is perfect for that. The party pool does have a quiet side also. We used the party pool more during our most recent stay, the wedding stay, because we were a louder group (there were 32 of us). I think they both serve a purpose and it's easy enough to switch locations if you aren't feeling the vibe. Silvers are great rooms also. You really can't go wrong either way. Sure, send over your email address. The other map is a little clearer and has some better markings as to what buildings are what. My husband, myself, my sister, and my brother in law will be arriving at VIM 2 months from today! Can't wait!!!

@@acw271011 Beautiful dress and you look beautiful in it! Yay! As far as breaking in your shoes, have you ever used a shoe stretcher? (I think that's what they are called) I have one for each shoe and I love them! You insert them into your shoe and adjust the width. Leave em in overnight or for a few days and they definitely make them more comfortable! I'll try and find a link to what I am referring to. **Here it is, this is the exact one I have: http://www.zappos.com/foot-petals-stiletto-stretcher-red-black My other go to for breaking in shoes is wearing them with a thin sock around the house and then heating up the areas that hurt (ex: around the toes or the ankle) with a blow dryer and stretching those areas a bit. Works really well.

So I went rummaging through my photo files ( I have a LOT of VIM photos) I'll attach a few that I found that might be helpful. I didn't find a photo of all of the locations that you mentioned yet but I will keep looking. @@acw271011 I had a better map but it wouldn't allow me to upload it unfortunately. Hope this one helps. This is outside of the main lobby area. Behind me would be the large fountains. I know I have a photo of them somewhere, but they are beautiful! Plaza. Great place to meet with friends. Drinks and entertainment here nightly. Fountain that surrounds the coffee bridge. This is what I think they call the "coffee bridge". This photo doesn't do it justice fully but this is what I had. It is surrounded by fountains. The chapel. Also surrounded by fountains. I'll keep searching but here are a few for now.
