@cherina you're really on top of things I wish It would flow that easily for me we just picked a place within the last month and definitely trying to get the STD out ASAP but that's wonderful! you gave your guests a yr and a half to prepare themselves

I agree with your FI if it were me I would send out STD a yr in advance , invites 7-8months in advance and give people a deadline of 60days before final payment is due which is October in your case.

Oh yeah:) so I'm not the only crazy one out there trying to pay for two large expenses....but we can do it !!! And congrats on everything !!!

I say you don't have to please no one if that's your cut off stick to it its nor tacky and besides its your money you both are spending and its about you two do what's best for you

My advice for you is if this is truly the dress do not look at anymore dresses or try on any others because you may have second thoughts...but the dress is gorgeous and I'm sure you look beautiful in it ! Congrats

Yes you can avoid the vendor fees and day pass if their a guest overnight but I'm not too sure if there's a minimum stay required ill like to know as well ...

Me and my FI also have a joint accounts at our credit union one is for the wedding and the other is for our house down payment early this year after getting engaged we made a commitment to put aside money we set a goal , a budget , and do automatic transfers our bank is so far away from out home so that lessens our chances of spending the money also we opted not to get a bank card instead when we need to make vendor payments we go directly to our bank and take out exactly what we need in the form of a check.....all other bills we split evenly each month with my FI taking on some bills independently this has been working for us hope this is helpful
