  1. I believe if you avoid oil based products and waterproof mascara they last around 3-4 weeks....I'm not really sure of any other ways to make them last longer, hopefully someone else on here has some more ideas!
  2. Hello! Nice work, there's sooooooo much information on here! I posted a reply maybe two pages back about Maya Floral. On it, I posted some pictures that I sent them as inspiration. In return, they sent me a few price quotes. If you cant find it, just PM me and I'll resend the pics and such to you
  3. Thank you for breaking that down!! I was trying to figure out the same thing.... that would be a nice credit
  4. Hey , i know this is an older post, but thanks for the website! Best prices ive seen so far for the large starfish!
  5. I AM planning to have a few groomsmen meet the florist out front to pick of the centerpieces, though I'm not quite sure on the logistics of the actual set up right now.....good point! I was planning on asking the wedding planner what she wanted us to do. It would be great if someone else has input on how this works....

  8. Having 20 people should help you keep costs down, good luck in your search. This website is an amazing resource!
  9. I love the idea of Blume boxes! I googled them, and you can do some cute stuff to spruce them up
  10. Hey guys, a few days ago I contacted Maya Floral to check out their prices on centerpieces. This is the response I got in case anyone is thinking of using an outside resource: "Our centerpieces with local flowers start at $65.00 usd. The flowers we consider as local flowers because they are very easy to get in Mexico are: Roses, Alstroemerias, Snapdragon, Lisianthus, Asian Lilies, Mums, Gerbera daisy, Chrysantemun and some others. We do not have centerpieces (unless they are cocktail centerpieces) under this price, our average priced centerpieces are $75.00 / $80.00 usd, centerpieces that include fine flowers like Orchids, Tulips, etc, start at $85.00 usd Kindest regards" Not too bad, but I still cringe at the thought of dropping all that money on flowers.....
  11. You did an amazing job on these!!! Thank you for taking the time to break all of the steps down for us. I also love the little details like the starfish stamps on the envelopes. This is going to be my summer project!!
  12. Unbelievably kind of you to post all of this!! Thank you, thank you, thank you
  13. A 17 and a 9 yr old had to get their own room?1 lol geesh Thanks for such quick replies everyone, i've actually calmed down about it and have decided I'm NOT changing resorts because of this LOL....haha back to happy planning
  14. Welcome! When do you want to get married? How many guests do you want to invite? Whats your max amount that you want guests to have to spend on travel? These are a few of the first few questions I had to figure out in order to decide where I wanted to go. There are soooooo many resorts to choose from, I say pick an area you want to go to, say Mexico or Hawaii, and then read some reviews on here to help you narrow it down. If you're have a large number of guests(>40) costs do add up quickly, but in doing out the math, its still usually cheaper than having a home based wedding.
  15. Okay guys, i'm freaking out a little bit.... I just signed a room contract with my TA(last week), and nowhere on the form did it say that Now Jade doesn't allow 4 adults per room, I can't even find it on their website. Now I have guests trying to book a room (two adults and their adult children), and I am being told that this isn't possible. Is this true? Is their a way around it? I feel like such an idiot for not knowing this, I feel like looking into a new resort while I still have time. Any information would be so helpful, thanks. Beth
  16. Under the "Flowers" section there's: Columns and Arrangements (2) $180....does anybody know what type of arrangements these are or what you can choose from?
