  1. I bought my daughters at the bay - our Colors are navy and hot pink so I'll incoporate pink in the flowers. I paid $35. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. So I could just be having an ultra pissy day, but my bridesmaid has done f-all to help me out. I'm getting married in 2 months and still don't have dresses. They have been difficult when it comes to agreeing on styles, and I have looked everywhere I can possibly think and have ordered online (I had to return them) and now feel like this is the biggest, most unnecessary stress. I'm so over looking, and frankly, sort if feel like I just want to tell them I don't want bridesmaids anymore. Is that totally bitchy of me? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Congrats! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I'm still debating about doing it before or after - but for us , the legality is so unimportant we hardly care. We have 2 kids, and have been common law for 5 years. The marriage license is just paperwork. The act of walking down the aisle, having a ceremony and reception is what will feel official to me . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. We are in a similar situation - my fiancé just found out his cousins (who weren't invited) are going to be in pvr at the same time as us - staying at their condo . He invited a cousin ( who we are close to ) but not her sister (weird I know, but we never talk to them ) so it makes it extra awkward. Our rate is close to $100 pp so adding the 4 of them is an extra $400. Not a huge deal , but we chose not to invite them, but now feel like jerks. We haven't decided what to do, but I sort of feel obligated now ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. We thought everyone was booked, but our RSVP deadline is sept 15, and we have had 5 new ppl book this week!
  7. This is what I've requested. I am bringing a cake topper (initials, or something) and the flowers are going to match what's in the picture
  8. I think I'm going to do the Polaroid guest book. We are going to have some small props incase ppl want to do silly pictures as well
  9. Our budget keeps going up too. Originally we wanted to do $15k, including our travel. Then we decided to stay for two weeks and upgrade our room, which puts our package (including 2 kids ) to $6500 including travel insurance. The actual wedding (and but wedding I mean ceremony, venue, dinner and dance), we are looking at about $5000-$5500. Then add photography (1700), attire, rings, hair and make, extra decor and bouquets, oot bags, a group activity , spending money etc... We are now looking at just over $22k. Holy eff. We are still doing better then if we got married at home, but it is sure adding up fast. We really don't want to skimp since our family and friends are paying to come and taking the time to come. I just our budget has covered it all. Our goal all along was to come out of it with $0 debt
  10. I just bought some from modcloth for $60 each. I'm hoping they aren't too short which is my only worry!
  11. I though of covering half he cost as well, or doing gift certificates and hope everyone wants to do the same activity?
  12. Ok so I actually heard back from the dazzling details - they are getting me the flowers I want and it's pretty reasonable. So I'm going with them!
  13. I'm getting married at le kliff. They provide a bus for the wedding - I'm sure they would do so for the group. I think it's around $300, return.
  14. I had similar issues. My first was so slow and there were so many things she wasn't doing so I asked to work with the manager. Better, but still not impressive. I emailed the owner but didn't get far. Now that our early booking deadline has passed (it's actually passed quite some time ago) I'm just telling ppl to book on their own since the rates are better. Less incentive for us , and more coordinating, but all I can do now is be sure to spread the word.
  15. I am also looking I to into group activites and have been in contact with most major your operators. All boat/cater man activities seem to be $2000+ it $70-100/person. I really can't decide what to do! I may just do the day trip to las caletas. I am also considering yelapa a or doing a trip up to bucerias.
  16. When I was in seattle in may, the market had beautiful bouquets with nice flowers (peonies etc.) and there were all under $15. Obviously every place is different , but since I'm only selective about color, I can't imagine not finding someone - and maybe someone at a market or flower shop will just help assemble them?! Maybe I'm dreaming I will update once I get back!
  17. Did you go? I looked and didn't love them - also thought they were a tad pricey?
  18. We are not choreographing or taking lessons. I've seen too many ppl who have done it and they just look stressed out trying to remember the steps instead of enjoying the fance
  19. I went back to Costco today and they were out! I'm going to try one other location tomorrow. I did get after sun tough! 10 bottles for $50.
  20. I checked one michaels but didn't have them - I'll keep checking locations!
  21. I decided yesterday I'm going to do my own flowers! It's not even the cost - it's that the flowers in season aren't my favourite and I just feel like for the $300+ I'd spend ordering bouquets, I can probably find what I want and do it myself. I'll be there one week before so an going on the hunt when I get there, will bring all the supplies I need. Hope this works! Nadia, when are you getting married? We are in November.
  22. I was planing on buying tank tops for my girls then doing the iron on rhinestone words - are they in any stores? I've seen them on etsy but already have so many shipping charges to deal with, I'd rather just go but them. I'm in calgary, canada.
