  1. Really? How many bridesmaids do you have? I was quotes like $75 or maybe it was $65 for hair? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Probably at a market - another bride told me they were very easy to find, and i think she paid $1/piece. I'll be there a week before so will have time go look. If it doesn't work out, oh well! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Checking china town is a good idea! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I tried on my dress again last week and am not sure if I made the right decision. I really wanted a belt, but can ad it with the style of my dress. Hoping I feel differently once alterations are complete and it's all dresses up. It's not at all what I originally thought I wanted and I think I just have to get over that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. We are booked with ally cat sailing. It's $1500 for 10 ppl, and $50 per person over that. Kids under 6 are free. We will probably end up owing more than $1000 but we will stay fairly close. It is 6-7 hours and includes a light breakfast, lunch, open bar, and a bunch of activities including kayaking, snorkelling, paddle boards and apparently the ability to fish which my fiancé is excited for. It has great reviews and the catamaran looks amazing. We are really excited. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I'm going to have my fiancé and his parents walk down first, followed by his groomsmen, one by one I guess? Then I may have 2 of my bridesmaids walk alone, and the third walk down with my two kids (ring bearer and flower girl). They are young and there are a lot of stairs, so I still have to figure out if it will be one kid per bridesmaid and then when bridesmaid walks alone. I will have my dad and step dad walking me down the aisle. Maybe the ring bearer will go with the groomsmen? I guess I need to get on it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. We just booked ours. We are paying $1000 and asking everyone to pay $50. We stated it as a totally optional activity and put the cost in so there are no surprises. I'm really excited for it, and hope most ppl want to join! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thinking of you cabo brides! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I tried on the dessy dress - it just didn't meet my expectations. I thought the material was nice, but tying it was very hard and I just didn't think it would look good. For how expensive they are, there are better alternatives Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I would have done the same, but our centerpieces are included so I'll use the bouquets as decor in other places - with the photo guest book, on the bar, and somewhere else? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I have decided (finally!) what I would like for centerpieces. I'm sending the following images to our venue, with what I want. I know we don't have much control over what the end result is, but does anyone have any images of what they sent vs what you got? The first image is the design I want. Second images shows the amount of candles (I will have white tea lights and votives in glass holders) and the third image is the Colors I want. I am going to also say that I'm open to the flowers and don't mind something slightly tropical. Do you think that's too complicated?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I also can't find cards that cheap? I really want them too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I just went on arts cow and they have a promo code for 35% off everything Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Has anyone ordered from paper lantern store? That's where I am thinking I'll do my order from for $1/fan. I know a bride on here bought her maracas in puerto vallarta for $1 each as well so I think I'll hold off until I get to mexico - we will bring tags for both the maracas and fans. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Yes it's usd! We've also been hit with PayPal and wire transfer fees as well! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I'm doing them and will do them between courses and ours at the end. Just short, simple speeches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Where do you find this? I'm looking as well as this sounds quite affordable! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. In then end I am paying $300 My bouquet is roses, orchids and chrysanthemums. The 3 bridesmaid bouquets are the same without the orchids. The boutainnere is an orchid. So it's no cheap but it's the best price for the flowers I'll get and I just don't have to stress about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I think we have all of our expenses calculated now with 6 weeks to go, but we didn't take into account converting cad to usd. Dumb right? But it'll be quite a bit of $$ when it's all send in done. Also, we thought fiancées vacation pay would cover our bills while we are gone. It is way short. We just need to come up with another $3000 and we are all paid for. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. My sister/bridemaid found dresses last night. They appear to work and I'm just waiting for them to come in the mail. Best part? $40! But my one sister is already complaining. I'm about to tell her to forget about even wearing a dress. What is with bridesmaids? Stop making this harder, when you are supposed to be helping! I'm going to be such a better bridesmaid in the future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. You still have lots of time! If I remember correctly from another post you are in Nuevo vallarta? Le kliff has been amazing to plan with, I would highly recommend. Also, you could email the dazzling details - they did my flowers but seem to be amazing planners as well. There are so many nice venues in puerto/Nuevo vallarta - just depends on your budget. Check las caletas (more $ with a large group), a restaurant or villa. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I was in the same boat. I thought the now ambers additional costs were outrageous! So I changed to le kliff with about 3.5 months to go. The resort offered to put my $500 deposit as a room credit which I am using for a mani/pedi and hair and make up for my bridesmaids and I. Le kliff is still going to cost about the same ($5k) but I am getting a mariachi band, dj, a guarantee that we are the only wedding, transportation etc. adding all of that to the resort would have been thousands more, plus it wouldn't have been private, there was another wedding etc. I haven't regretted my decision and am soooooooo excited about le kliff! 22. I should send my fiancé to cross iron tomorrow - he was thinking of shave kits too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. We are offering a beef (with shrimp), a mexican chicken dish, and a fish. We were also able to give a choice for apps! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I agree - no one wants a bunch of crap because it was a good deal. We are doing oot bags, but have what we think is all useful stuff. We are doing a hangover kit, most ppl will probably bring what they need, but whatever. We are also doing a first aid/toiletry kit with things that ppl forget like qtips, cotton balls, nail file, SPF lip balm etc. then we are doing destination info/maps, postcards, some local chocolates and treats. Then we have a few random items like a candle ( rooms always smell musty!) after sun (because I am obsessed) and a DVD with a few of our favourite movies. We will write welcome notes and supply an itinerary (for all two planned events!) and if we are really feeling crazy, maybe hot sauce or some other souvenir. I'm using gift bags, not beach bags. My budget it $600 including kids which totals 36 ppl so far. We are buying for 40 just incase, and will keep the extras for us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I asked for coconut - thinking I will add either a chocolate or raspberry filling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
