We had that budget as well per person but its all going to depend on when as well as hotel. Are you looking for family or adults only? We had both so we wanted to give everyone options. BUT it is up to you too that will your list of what you want gets met. People will follow. We went from 1500 to 1789. Not too much more but they can save up the money. This is your day remember and you need to make it the way you want it. That's what I had to learn the hard way.

We went through the same thing!! i went right to the source. Ok here is from our experience, We wanted family suites in our hotel. But before they were to get pricing we need to have deposits down to promise we would take them. NO WAY! I'm not promising something i don't know the cost upgrade. So we went with regular suites. And what you can do like us is talk to the hotel when you get there or close to the date for upgrades. Second. I like to get the info from the horses mouth so i phoned West Jet Vacations and (if that's who you are through) they told me for every 16th person is free. Adults only not including kids. Also they will take the lowest fare. So if you have guest flying in from somewhere else and there amount is cheaper they will take that fare. Also its a max. of 2 free. With the wedding stuff ask the hotel what they can do for you close to the date as well. That's what I have planned as Westjet has been nothing but no answers. I hope this helps

I found if you read Tammy's email closely starting with the Newbie section, it really helps you start in the forums. It looks overwhelming but you get the hang of it and its the best for any answers to anything!

We decided on Iberostar because of the response to emails. Also they do a wedding once a day not every hour for 5 hours a day. Our budget for our guests was $1500pp but we also wanted all access to all parts of the resorts and to do that you need to stay at the Grand or the Maya. Which brought it up to 1787pp and everyone was ok with that as that was direct and transfers. We have 44 people going and its hard to get everyone to RSVP and if you can let all people book their own flights because it can get really stressful on you if you have straglers. We wanted a beach but they also have other places. I look on Travel Advisor for "Real" pictures. For the rest of the questions, i don't know. We started to plan a month ago and since putting the deposits in we are in a stand still situation.
