  2. Woohoo!!! I can't believe I get to see Now Jade tomorrow for the first time after planning for a year. I am so excited and nervous. I will let you all know how it goes over the next few days. Thank you to the many brides (and grooms) who have helped me on here over the last year. Count down to the big day: 4 more sleeps.

Does anyone have their script for their legal ceremony?? You do not have to come up with a script for any wedding at Now Jade. A few brides really want to personalize their ceremonies (including myself) so they write their own. You do not have to do this. I have a few copies of scripts etc. that Pilar sent me if you PM your email I will send what I have along.

Also, I wanted to wake up with him on our wedding morning so we got a little time just the two of us to bask in the fact that it is our wedding day. Herful time at Now Jade and a beautiful wedding day!!! I can't wait less than 3 weeks now until we leave. Can't imagine what I will be like with only a few days left. Have a wonderful time at Now Jade and a beautiful wedding day!!!

Does anyone know if they have kids meal options?? We have about 4-5 kids that are under 6 so I'm hoping not to pay a full adult price for them Yes they have kids meals. Options are spaghetti, chicken fingers and I'm not sure what the third is. They are about $25.

Have a great count down! Maybe I'll try this with 24 days to go.

For past brides or any brides to be.. has anyone not given the dj a set list of songs and just let them wing it? I am going to give a few specific songs that must be played like our wedding song and mother son and father daughter dances but I am just soo bad with remembering names of songs and artists... Im thinking about just telling the DJ the type of music we like and hopefully they will just play good songs? I dont know if this is risky to do... any suggestions? OHHH and one more thing.. where are you ladies planning on going for your honey moon if you plan on leaving now jade? I want to move onto a different resort still in riviera maya area for about 5 or 6 days to honeymoon but not sure where to go. We're less than two months out and I'm just going to give the DJ some specific songs like you mentioned then tell them the kind of music we like. I'm sure you can always make requests while dancing. I can send you the DJ planning form if you PM me your email. That way you can get a better idea of what the DJ needs from you. We are going to Secrets Maroma for our honeymoon week. We are excited as we have heard nothing but wonderful things about the place but I will give a review when we get back. Trisha

I will send everything I have.
  10. To all past brides or brides-to-be who have visited Now Jade, What is the best cake flavour? I am supposed to say which I want on the planning form but can't decide because they all sound delicious.

We are moving ours to the cocktail hour as well. I think the Divine package includes the system at the ceremony as well (from what I can tell with the planning form). I am sending in my planning form in a few days so I will let you know if I am wrong about this.

Are there different DJs to chose from or does the resort only have one? 2. For the photography, I know the divine package does include a photographer. We do want to add on to the included package. Do we need to contact Adventure photos ourselves to reserve them for the day? Do we contact them to book the trash the dress shoot? 3. For the symbolic ceremony, is there a general script that is followed or do we need to write our own? Can you please email me a copy of the script if there is one? 4. What time and where will our welcome cocktail be at on February 7th? (save the date promotion) And do we get to pick the appetizers? 6. Is there an added fee for a "signature drink" during the cocktail hour? 7. When is the appropriate time to book spa services? Do we go through you or through the resport? 8. Are we allowed to have real candles for the centerpieces at the resort? 9. Can we borrow hurricane vases for the centerpieces? Is there a charge? Thanks everyone- This thread has been wonderful! Hello, Pilar is back working (at least partially). I received an email from her last week after waiting over 2 months. I would suggest emailing all of the wedding email addresses at the resort when you have a question so that you will get a quicker response. The emails are: [email protected] (Pilar), [email protected] (Pilar), [email protected] (Deisy), [email protected] (?). 1. The DJ at Now Jade is AVI. I can send you their planning form if you message me your email. Alex is the contact and his email is: [email protected]. Deisy or Pilar will book the time for you if you go through them. 2. You can email Frederico at Adventure photos ([email protected]). He will be able to give you more information about pricing and what services are available. 3. For the symbolic ceremony there is a basic script they will follow. You can customize this however you want or write your own. I have examples of the ceremony. If you want me to email them to you let me know. 4. We didn't get a free welcome party so I'm not sure about the details on this. I would contact Deisy to confirm. 7. You should book your spa services 1-2 months before. You can contact the spa directly at [email protected] (Fredy Lugo). If you would like a price list let me know. Hope this helps. If you need any more info let me know I can email you all the documents I have received from Pilar or attach them on here whichever is easier for you. Trisha

Have you guys already booked the DJ. I've been trying to but have not had a response from Pilar for the last 2 months. I only have a few months left and want to make sure we can have a DJ so I'm getting worried.
  16. We're traveling from Alberta too. Have people traveling from Ontario and BC as well. We used Pose travel! They are awesome. Kristy and David are very helpful. They got married at Now Jade themselves.
  17. Hi Emma, I just sent out an email to all of my guest asking for their choice (I send a monthly update email) because I had already sent out their STDs/invites. You can also do an RSVP on most wedding websites if you set one up which could also work for dinner choice. I have attached the dinner options but can also send them to you if you PM me your email. I bought totes with printing from discount mugs (http://www.discountmugs.com). Great price and turned out really nice ( I went for cheaper grocery bag style because I had to buy so many but they can still double as a pool/beach bag). I also bought travel mugs from discount mug and they turned out amazing. I am completely impressed with quality and design. I can't wait to give them to our guest. The rest of the OOT bag stuff (first aid kit contents, playing cards, lotion, note pads, pens etc. I bought from the dollar store, Dollarama. I also am buying big packages of advil, immodium, etc. and using small bags (dollar store) and labels I got from this forum. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions just let me know. 18. Hi, I'm in the process of arranging the DJ with Pilar. They have a DJ they use at the resort. If you want a different one it costs an extra $350 for the outside vendor fee. I think with the photographer time extension this can be organized when you submit your final planning form or even at the meeting at the resort but it you would like to see more prices or talk to the photographer directly the email is: [email protected]. They sent me a bunch of information if you would like any of it (including examples) PM me your email. Hair and make up should be scheduled with the spa directly 2 months before your wedding (Fredy Lugo email: [email protected]. I also have a spa price list if you would like that. Hope this helps. Trisha
  19. To past brides, how long did the courses take at dinner (about 60 people to serve)? I'm trying to come up with a schedule for my emcee. Thanks, Trisha
  20. How long did the videographer film you? Did you get any extra coverage?
  21. I agree have you travel agent give them a call at the resort. We didn't get confirmation until our travel agent called.
  22. Hi I tried to PM you a few times and I don't think it worked. My email is [email protected]. Thanks so much!!
