Hi Ladies, I'm having my wedding at the GBP Punta Cana Dec 2013, so less than a month away. I will make sure to post a review when I get back. I'm so excited and I love the fact that the wedding coordinator always email back within 24 hours for any questions or requests I've had so far.

Love this dress, exactly what i'm looking for my 4 bridesmaids in a bright royal blue (sapphire) colour.

hey jolene, just thought i would mention they have very simple veils at davids bridal for $20 with a comb. My mom and bridesmaids really want me to wear a veil so probably just for the ceremony, then i will take it out. I don't mind spending $20 but i totally agree some are way over priced. I'm still trying to find some royal bright blue chiffon bridesmaid dresses. They are so expensive just cause they are "bridesmaid" i have found a few really cute ones at stores in the mall but not in the right colour. darn

Hi ladies, So we are getting married Dec 3, 2013 in punta cana. I have requested group quotes through a TA who a friend recommended. We are probably going to have between 14-30 ppl coming to the wedding. Basically the TA gets a group quote which is only valid for 2 weeks (in order to lock in the quote for 90 days everyone has to put down a $200 deposit) Since I'm not sure how many people are actually going to travelling on the same date and same flight I don't want to pay the $200 (plus then are we supposed to ask our guests to re-imburse use the $200?) But if we don't then we don't really have a group rate locked in anymore and I'm not sure when people are booking. Its really frusturating and I don't find the TA very helpful. Does anyone have the email or phone number for the TA Kelly? Just want to know what you guys are doing that might make the group booking less stressful. Plus I also want to make sure the whole group is in the same building at the resort since its a huge resort. Thanks Andrea

LOVE you're dress. I have tried a few on but wanted the high low style with ruffles on the bottom and haven't been able to find in store yet. Found 2 online I love so have to track down bridal shops which carry them or at least teh same designer to find out my size. Currently on wedding diet and already lost 6 lbs now only 19 more to go. LOL Then its time for my real dress shopping.

CSHO - wow they really turned out great. Super idea to give to your bridesmaids when you ask them to be part of your wedding. I was originally going to ask with a card and bedazzle white old navy flip flops they could wear for the reception since we are getting married in a gazebo and they will be wearing sandals. I will probably include a pair in the welcome bag since they are light to transport.

hey jolene, i agree there isn't as much to do off resort but we figure we would do one party boat tour & lunch with the group, plus the wedding day might be enough excitement. Since we and out guests are only going for a week we definitely want a few days to just lounge by the pool and relax. I hear the catamaran & swim with dolphins tour in cuba is amazing

Hi ladies, sorry i've been away for a few days (work is getting in the way of my wedding planning lol) WOW the passport invites look amazing. I was actually just looking at ordering some online this morning and its crazy the price they are asking. Where did you find the templates you used? I was originally going to send out a save the date but since we moved the wedding from Feb 2014 to Nov 2013 (feb was $400 more per person) we figure invites only should be enough.

No we actually decided on the Grand Palladium in Punta Cana DR instead. I emailed the wedding coordinator there are heard back each time within 1-2 days max so the communication is great and all the wedding packages and information are available online. Its a shame bc they are losing brides booking their weddings there since they are understaffed. Anyway I'm just excited to be somewhere tropical with all my family to celebrate our wedding

Hi ladies, After trying to call the Resort and Giselle several times and either being out on hold or disconnected and not having emails returned for 3-4 weeks I have decided not to have my wedding at the ILA, but would love to stay on this chat since you all have posted some really great info and ideas since we will still be having a destination wedding.

does anyone have an email for Santa? I tried calling to book my wedding date but it was bad connection from Canada. Thanks

finally heard back from Giselle today - and the adte we wanted is already booked Oh well - i emailed her back with a few other dates so glad to get the ball rolling. I was almost tempted to book another resort but glad to be having it at the ILA

Ladies, has everyone communicated with Giselle through email? I still have not heard back from her after requesting to confirm wedding date. I'm tempted to buy a calling card tonight and try calling the resort. I was able to get the email for 'room reservations' and emailed them asking about booking my wedding date. They indicated they would forward request along to Giselle. I'm thinking they may need another wedding coordinator to help Giselle.

Ohhh thanks Kay - maybe Giselle is just trying to catch up on getting back to everyone. Fingers crossed i hear back soon. I just want to confirm and book the wedding date. Have you booked yours? Do you need to put down a deposit or sign a contract?

Thanks Jolene - I don't really want to be the main contact for booking the travel arrangements for the wedding group so I will definitely be going with a TA. Kay - I have tried both the emails you provided (however the website indicated the contact was Lisset not Giselle). Csho - I guess I will just wait to hear back. Hi Ladies Just join the site as I will be getting married at the ILA in Feb 2014. My sister and her bf went to the resort last year and absolutely loved it! I have emailed Lisset at [email protected] 2x times and have not heard back (its been 2-3 weeks) to request if a few dates are available in Feb 2014 for our wedding. I want to lock down the dates so we can send out Save the Date cards to our guestlist. Has anyone else had problems getting a response? Did most of you ladies contact a private TA or book with a TA through travel website (like sunwing or tripcentral). I'm just starting out and since I've never been to a destination wedding just trying to figure out where to start. Talk soon Andrea
