  1. From David's Bridal in Edmonton, $130 each in the colour Guava (what I consider coral!)
  2. Here's mine!! Been dying to show people....fiance refuses to see it but I SO wish he would hahah!
  3. SOOO beautiful!!! I loved your hair too! If you have any photos of what the back of your hair looked like, I'd love to see them I'm having such a tough time finding an updo I like, but yours looks fantastic!
  4. Hi! I got my dress at Ethos in West Edmonton Mall for $850 The ladies there are awesome! We went to so many stores (sposabella in particular) in the mall where the service was terrible! I was asking for strapless lace dresses and they told me to go ahead and look (ummm there are 1000 dresses in your store, a little help please!? lol). Finally at Ethos they were able to suggest dresses that would suit my body type, and we ended up finding the perfect dress. It also just so happens that my mom bought her dress there 28 years ago!!!!
  5. Did anyone pack any type of rain gear?? Like those disposable raincoats or anything?? Any bad experiences? We're going July 2-15 and I feel like we'll get rained on at least once!!
  6. I never thought of this!!! Good to ask!! I have put my deposit down for Adrian
  7. We decided to go with the lower end package (Mint Breeze) and upgrade a few small things. We have approx 30 ppl going, so we are going to pay a bit extra for food, cake etc and then I'm bringing some decorations. The chairs/covers/sashes are all included, as well as the basic set up. They also have some really affordable flower arrangements if you want extras for the table! We have $3300 for ALL the wedding day stuff...the package, a few extras, my hair/makeup, extra flowers (I'm getting 3 centerpieces), and I think we'll make it for around that There were just 'extras' included in the cost of the Strawberry Package that we felt weren't worth the money. Better to get the basics and upgrade in the areas you feel are important to you
  8. I've decided I'm giving some of my bags out before we go. I'll give my bridesmaids theirs, my parents, groom's parents and a couple friends who are in town. It helps us out a little, and then they know what they don't have to buy/pack because you've got them covered. No matter when you give them the bags, they'll be appreciative
  9. Definitely check out dollarama. I got my cups for $1.25 and 36 stickers were $35...so for about $60 I got 25 personalized tumblers. Awesome
  10. Yes! The Barcelo Beach/Colonial is a great option. Also, I'm from BC and my fiance is from PEI, so we figured either way half our family would be flying across the country, which is why we decided we would all travel! Canadian weddings are expensive for guests too!! In PEI we stayed at a nice resort for a wedding at $200 a night, plus food/drinks, activities etc PLUS flights from alberta which were $1100 each...soooo it's not always cheaper to do it in Canada!! Plus this is YOUR wedding...having a destination wedding sometimes cuts the guest list a bit which is nice. Lots of our family members aren't coming for various reasons (cost, heat, fear of flying, etc) and this whole process has taught me that you CANNOT please everyone, no matter where you have the wedding!
  11. I just got aloe from avon!!! Check it out...for 150ml bottles, it's on sale for 1.89!! http://shop.avon.ca/avonshop_en/product.asp?src_page=product.asp&department=shop&level1_id=&level2_id=4&pdept_id=15&dept_id=63&pf_id=6837&level=3 Also, if you know a representative, you can get the shipping cheaper
  12. Coral and mint look so pretty!! Go for it!!
  13. What about eyelash tinting? Anyone try that?
  14. Good to know! I'm worried about basically melting away in the sun!
  15. I love this idea! If people aren't keen on buying bulky and expensive bags, these look so awesome!
  16. Best deal I found was Walmart, which had either the blistex colourful ones or no name brand...SPF 15 and less than a dollar each!
