  1. Hello all you awesome Canadian Brides! There is a company based in BC called Destination or not (www.destinationornot.com) and they make real touch flowers. We usually partner up with them for our wedding shows, and everyone who walks by is always SHOCKED that the flowers displayed are not real, its insane how real the look and feel! Good luck and happy planning! -Jill Tran
  2. This is a great idea! A program AND A Fan for those warmer destination weddings! Great job! -Jill

  4. nikole2013, congratulations on your wedding. Curious to see how it turned out? As a travel agent, this resort is really popular for leisure travel amongst my clientele but I have never organized any weddings there, any tips? Thanks! Have a great long weekend. -Jill
  5. Hi ladies, congraulations on your engagements! There is a Canadian based company here in BC that customized real touch flowers - you should check out their website. http://www.destinationornot.com/ You can just put these in your suitcase and not have to worry about transport fees! Good luck and happy Easter weekend! -Jill Tran
  6. Congratulations NCGOOD on your engagement!! Well first things first, make sure the resort you choose to have your wedding at, has your wedding date available! If you're booking less than a year away you could run into some issues. I would definitley recommend to either get a travel agent and/or destination wedding coordinator to help you out. If you choose to have a symbolic ceremony (non legal) you will need to arrive in destination 2 business days before the wedding date, not including weekends. The Grand Palladium resorts have a great beach bash post ceremony and reception, depending on the location of the resort, the cost will vary. It could be any where from $1100-$1600 USD starting price for up to 25 people. Have a wonderful long weekend everyone! -Jill
  7. YES Urban Decay eyeshadow primer is MAGIC! No creasing for hourss! Also the make up mist, keeps your make up stay put for longer!
  8. Hey npaterson, When I think of permanent make up you think of the old school tattooed eyebrows, but a lot of places are starting to do the Feathering now, which looks very natural and really nice! I haven't had them done my self, thinking about it, but I had a girlfriend who had it done and it really looks good!
  9. hardt22, I'm so sorry to hear about your experience with Ana at the Ocean Coral/Turquesa. I have dealt with her before, she does take a few days to reply but she always does.It was actually for a wedding which took place last week! I know the wedding coordinators are extremely busy setting up weddings and organizing them but that is still not an excuse for poor customer service. I hope that everything goes smoothly from here on out with Cynthia, for your sake. Best of wishes to you! -Jill Tran
  10. Great tips @tstachow! Your wedding looked beautiful! @PierreViolle - thanks for sharing that great trash the dress video, its nice to see behind the scenes, will definitely be referring my clients to your video! Cheers, Jill
  11. Hi Pierre, Do not fret my friend, you are not the only to-be-husband planning a destination wedding! The Gran Bahia Principe is a great hotel! Either the Tulum or the Akumal section, no matter which section you stay at you basically have access to all the facilities at the others. The Coba section is nice too however its just at the back of the resort and a further walk to the beach. If you are traveling from a Canadian gateway, Transat Holidays offers the Royal Golden section at the Akumal, which is a section that has been exclusively blocked off for guests that book with that particular wholesaler. If you are looking for May 2014 rates, they may not be available quite yet, not until May 2013. The only thing, like you have mentioned, it is a bit further from the airport, about 1.5 hours. But the hotel seems like what you are looking for, 4.5* rating, clean, good food, good service, family friendly, fun and an all around good hotel. The Grand Palladium hotels are good too if you want to check them out. You can always direct PM me if you would like more details on hotels and pricing. Good luck to you Pierre! -Jill Tran
  12. Great pictures BethK, thank you for sharing. I love how romantic they look, congratulations! -Jill
  13. Hey jilliebeans, Congratulations on the wedding! I imagine it was a very beautiful and memorable day for the both of you. Just curious, did the resort charge you an outside vendor fee to bring in an out side photographer? Thanks! -Jill
  14. Hi OahuBride13, Congratulations on your engagement! You will get a reception dinner, depending on which wedding package you book, the pricing is all different. So for example, as of right now, if you book 6 nights at the Sandals Emerald Bay, you get a $500 resort credit, which you can get your wedding package for free if you book the Beautiful Beginnings package. That package includes reception for the bride and groom, plus 6 guests. Additional guests will cost you per plate. You can direct PM me for more information and we can go from there. Good luck and happy planning! -Jill Tran
  15. wattsie123 & Chelle Shoe, Do you have in mind which resorts you will staying at? The Sandals wedding packages are pretty similar for all of the resorts but I can definitely send you something. -Jill
  16. Dido! This is a really great idea, thanks for sharing your awesome innovations! This definitely gives the guests other options to send a nice message besides the traditional signing of a guest book with all the same message! Good luck and happy planning ladies! Jill
