  1. Hi Hard Rock Punta Cana brides! Not sure if anyone will be there during July 27 2013, but Enrique Iglesias will be there performing LIVE!!!
  2. Hey EVKnowsitall, so sorry to hear that you're so stressed out with your DW plans =(. It can be very stressful, as there is a lot of information and little details that need to be planned. It's probably too late now but you definitely should have gotten a travel agent to arrange all the travel details with your guests, that would've been one thing off your plate! I wish you the best of luck, hang in there, it will all be worth it the day you walk down that aisle, in Punta Cana! -Jill
  3. Maybride2013 - thank you for sharing your pictures, you look stunning! Congratulations to you and your husband!
  4. The Now Sapphire is an excellent choice for you to host your destination wedding. I know the on site wedding coordinator Anel is very helpful, you will be in good hands. Good luck and happy planning! -Jill Tran
  5. Hi KK2013 - The rooms only have beer in the mini fridge, but the Royal Service rooms have hard alcohol like Vodka available. This is a great resort, very modern and high end. Good luck and Happy Planning! -Jill Tran
  6. The Grand Riviera/Sunset Princess is a great resort, not too big but not too small. I was there 2 years ago and we were able to watch a whole wedding ceremony from afar, so it's not too private as their beach gets pretty busy especially during the busy season. The Chill out lounge would be a great place to have either a reception or even a post reception cocktail party. Good luck and happy planning ladies! -Jill Tran
  7. Congrats ladies! I'm excited to see how your pictures turned out! Looking forward to that post. -Jill
  8. Congratulations!! Both resorts are great, the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is an adults only resort, that is probably why you see more weddings at the Dreams Los Cabos. 6 months is not too bad, as long as your guests are aware and have enough time. Make sure your wedding DAY is available with the resort, because I find that that is what most of our clients are bound to, the wedding availability dates. Good luck to you, you have a lot of planning ahead of you, but it will be worth it =) -Jill
  9. Congratulations ladies on your engagements! And for narrowing down the resort in which you will be getting married at, there are so many good ones I know it's always a tough decision. The on site wedding coordinators are always very busy with weddings on the day of, so don't panick if they don't email you back for a while (and I mean WEEKS!). I have been in situations where the wedding coordinators don't get back to me until after 1 month! But it will all work out in the end, as long as you have your wedding date BOOKED & CONFIRMED, the little details usually don't get worked out until 3 months before the big day. No sure if you know also, but depending on when you are departing, the Moon Palace is offering a $1500 resort credit for their guests staying 7 nights or longer. Good luck ladies and happy planning! -Jill Tran
  10. Congratulations ladies on your upcoming nuptials! The BlueBay Esmeralda has some pretty good wedding packages as well as pricing as the post reception pool side party. The last time our client had a wedding there it was about $750USD for a 2 hour private poolside party, compared to another resort in the area which was charging $2300USD, it could be different now since the pricing varies every year. I also find that the pricing for the resort is fairly reasonable too! Good luck everyone and happy planning! -Jill
  11. Great photos, thanks for sharing! They looked like they had a blast at it too!! -Jill Tran
  12. Hi kimanddevon, Congratulations on your engagement and welcome to the forum!! Not to fret, this is not unusual to get married in Canada before hand, many of our clients opt for this option. With legal weddings it definitely is a lengthier process. With a Symbolic wedding in Mexico, it depends on what wedding package you choose, there's usually like a Mayan Blessing package, or something else Symbolic, you can exchange vows and all that other good stuff. You will have to arrive in destination about 2 business days before your wedding date, to go over all the wedding details with your onsite wedding coordinator. If you would like more information on the different wedding packages and pricing, you can PM me for more details =) Hope this helps, good luck and happy planning! -Jill Tran
  13. Hi firecrackr34. Congratulations on your engagement and welcome to the forum! You will find it very handy, all the ladies ( & gents) are very informative. Well from my experience with my clients from Canada, a bride and groom can spend up to $10K for your destination wedding, including their travel but not the guests, and it is definitely a lavish celebration! You will have to arrive in destination approx 2-4 business days before your actual wedding date, to go over the details with your on site wedding coordinator. With the resorts in Mexico, you can do a ceremony on the beach, reception at one of the a la cartes, and you can also chose to have a beach/poolside cocktail party for after dinner with music and drinks. I would definitely recommend a Travel Agent to arrange the travel for your guests! Good luck and happy planning! -Jill Tran
  14. Hi jackson13, Congratulations on your engagement and welcome to BDW! I am sure you will find this forum very helpful, all the brides here give great tips and advice. The Moon Palace is an excellent choice, great resort, as any of the Palace resorts, and their wedding packages are designed by Colin Cowie, they are all gorgeous themes rest assured!!! AND they are offering a $1500 resort credit right now if you book a 5-8 night stay by August 31 2013, for travel through December 23 2013. Visit their website for more details - http://www.palaceresorts.com/moonpalace/promotions-en.html Good luck and happy planning!! -Jill
  15. @kaitstr, thanks for sharing your photos, they look amazing, and you look stunning! Congratulations on your big day =)
  16. Jenny2014 and Bride2B26 - You girls are definitely on top of things! Symbolic weddings in Mexico are much easier and less hassle. To have a legal wedding in Mexico you have go get blood tests and witnesses and bring copies of your birth certificates and what not, AND you have to arrive usually 4 business days before the ceremony date.....definitely much much much more work needed that's for sure! You can spend that time and effort on other things that are also important, like your dress and shoes! Bride2B26 - Not sure if you have your dress yet but there now is a David's Bridal in Langley, BC, and they have quite the selection for Brides / Bridesmaids / Mother of the Bride. Good luck and happy planning =) -Jill Tran
  17. CONGRATULATIONS upcoming to-be-MRS!!! We wish you all the best, and can't wait to see how everything turns out. I'm sure when you look back there are a few stressful moments, but everything will be worth while on your special day. =) -Jill Tran
  18. Hey ladies, congratulations to you all on your engagement! The Dreams PV is an excellent choice. I find that generally when we contact a Dreams wedding coordinator for our clients' weddings, they always get back to us ASAP and are always very informative. @Kate G - You can always check with your wedding coordinator and see if they can make reservations for your party at one of the restaurants so everyone can get together in one place, either for dinnero r lunch... but becareful not to call it a "rehearsal" dinner, some resorts will charge you extra for rehearsal dinners. @amysis - 40 for your guest list is perfect! I actually went to a destination wedding with 41 people and it was perfect. @Jenny2014 and @SLetendre - May 2014 package rates aren't out yet but nice to see you on top of the game and booking your wedding date already! You ladies should also check out www.destinationornot.com - we usually pair up with them for our wedding shows, and everyone who comes to visit our booth are always AMAZED that the flowers aren't real! But they definitely LOOK and FEEL real. Good luck and happy planning ladies! -Jill Tran
  19. Great post, they all look so pretty I don't think I could eat them!
  20. Great post, love them all so much it would be hard to pick one theme! -Jill T.
  21. Congratulations ladies on your engagements! The chapel at the Gran Caribe Real is absolutely stunning, you will be very happy you choose that site for your ceremony =) -Jill Tran
