  1. @Sandy Planner, great photobooth! Interested to know what you're rates are per hour?
  2. Hi Chantel, Congratulations on your recent engagement! One of our wedding designers here actually, had organized a wedding this past January 2013! I have the location pictures but it is a PDF format, you can PM your email address and I can send you what I have. It also has reception locations as well. I definitely agree, it is silly to spend your budget on a private function for 10 people. The wedding packages at the NOW resorts include a semi private dinner for up to 25 guests (unless you book the "Your Moments" package. I can send you info on this too =) -Jill Tran
  3. Congratulations @ksaeuong and welcome to the forum! Both resorts are great choices, that definitely is going to be a tough decision to pick just one! For your site inspection, the Paradisus does offer a discounted site inspection package, (which would basically be free if you book your wedding with them), with 3 nights stay - http://www.paradisus.com/romance-inspectionfirstvisit-loveatfirstsite.php - You basically will pay for the inspection up front, and if and when you do book your wedding package with Paradisus, you will get a credit back. "A credit will be applied towards the bride/groom's final payment on the wedding package selected. This credit will be equal to the cost of the site inspection package and limited to the value of the first 3-nights of their stay." I hope this helps, let me know if you want me to send you any information on this further. Happy planning! -Jill
  4. Congrats @MrsCtobe , bet you're counting down the days! Be sure to post some pictures and a review when you're bac =). Congratulations again and best of wishes! -Jill
  5. @Carolash39 You look stunning! And not to mention the set up looks great. Thank you for sharing your pictures with us, as well as the DJ Mania Star lanterns! I will definitely keep that one on the books!
  6. Congratulations @DP1andDP2 on your engagement! There is the Sky Bar which is open 24 hours!
  7. @JennaLea - Yes they do! All resorts will block off rooms (given that there is a minimum amount) and give your guests a group/discounted price for the dates that you have blocked off. What sort of resort are you looking for in the PV area?
  8. Hey futurekcarrera, NO! Not tacking at all!! Not if you go with the real touch flowers! I believe you can pick them up at Michaels, but are not cheap! Check out www.destinationornot.com, her name is Lynda and is a Canadian based company - When we participate in wedding shows, we always have her with us in our booth and let me tell you, everyone is SHOCKED that the flowers on display are not real. Check these out they really are amazing!
  9. Cognratulations Christya on your engagement! Theres a thread for the BBGE on this forum http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/29613/blue-bay-grand-esmeralda-brides-post-here and you will see all the pictures posted on the right hand side of some previous weddings. Great resort, they have some pretty good pricing for their wedding packages. Be aware the beach is very rocky at this resort. Good luck and happy planning! -Jill Tran
  10. Hi Ladies, Congratulations on your engagement! The Moon Palace is a great choice for wedding venue. Noir is 18+, there is also the Teens club that is a arcarde/chill out during the day, then turns into a Teens night club at night.
  11. mizpriya, that's great to hear! Congratulations, can't wait for your review =) -Jill

  14. Congratulations on your wedding! Can't wait to see how it all panned out =)
  15. bbbride, usually it includes bride and groom, so if it says (Up to 25 Guests) - that includes the bride and groom PLUS 23 guests.
  16. Congratulations on your engagement lfortt !! The Grand Riviera Princess is a great property! I would recommend booking the Platinum suites if you haven't already, they are much closer to the beach at the back of the resort, quiet and have their own (small) pool and lounge area. The Sunset Gazebo is GORGEOUS! And not to mention more private than having your ceremony right on the beach, with on lookers... In regards to the floating sky lanterns, make sure you check with your onsite coodinator to make sure they will allow them, and this is a great post about the the skylanterns, http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/85017/beautiful-chinese-lanterns-what-you-need-to-know
  17. Hi Kristy! Congratulations on your recent engagement!! The grounds at the JW Marriott Ihilani Ko Olina are beautiful as well. You can have an amazing ceremony (and reception) at the garden, over looking the ocean. I was there for a wedding in September 2012 and it was one of the most beautiful scenerys I have ever seen! My friend used Waikiki Video Pro for her photographer and videographery, and it all turned out really nice. http://waikikivideopro.com/Home.aspx Good luck and happy planning! -Jill Tran
  18. Theres a great waterproof foundation by Make Up Atelier Paris, goes on as a matte finish and super Waterproof!! Also, do not use a high definition powder if you're going to be taking pictures with the flash on! If you want, use a loose powder with color in it.
  19. Hey VeronicaS and triumphbliss, congratulations on your engagement. Are you getting married at the Grand Sunset/Riviera Princess? I saw "Chill out Lounge" and I am assuming so =) I would recommend booking either a regular Junior suite, Platinum section if you want to be closer to the beach, and the Laguna Villa suites if you want to really feel like luxury! I was there a few years ago, had booked the swim out suites, but go a free upgrade when we check in because the hotel was at a very low capacity. So glad we did not book the swim out, they're not very private and there is always gunk floating around in the pool. The Platinum suites are nice, has their own pool and lounge area, and super close to the beach! And what you said about the beach ceremony is very true, its not private at all and very easy for others (not part of the wedding) to just watch or be in the background. Good luck and happy planning ladies! -Jill Tran
  20. Congratulations on your engagements ladies! I actually have clients getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe at the end of this year, and they are opting for the semi private dinner at the a la carte restaurant which was included in their wedding package, then a Post Reception Pool Side Cocktail party, it was about $2300USD for full international open bar. Of course the pool will be closed and set up, soft lighting, cocktail table, music and microphone are included. I hope this helps any Gran Bahia Principe brides out there! Good luck and happy planning! -Jill
