right on the e-mail they send you with the info it should be under ceremony. Each sheer fabric is $100 and they recommend 2. Colored ones are a bit more expensive. Get ready to get squeezed out of every penny! Like I said, I was trying to get natural flowers for my cake, exactly as it is on the picture they send you for the memorable moments cake and it was almost as much as my bouquet! I basically told them "eff that" and that they are insane. We're going with sugar flowers. I guess some people pay they ridiculous prices and that's why they keep charging the same. I wanted to have 4 roses for my centerpieces, well, every rose is $10 USD, without any kind of work because I have to make the centerpieces myself. It's not like $40 per table is a big deal in the grand scheme of things but considering it is Mexico and roses grow in backyards, they are crazy. It's not like they have to go to Alaska to pick the flowers. Again, eff that, we're going with fake flowers. I refuse to just comply with their abuse.

I just had a fight with my fiancé. I want to go back to schools for a masters and he's basically saying that he doesn't want to put his life on hold now that he's finishing his schooling this year. We also don't live together and want to buy a house next year but he's saying that we won't be able to afford everything and he wants to do all these things and what if we postpone the wedding till I'm done school. I told him there's no way. Our save the dates are sent and our invitation are ready to be sent. This hurts me terribly and I don't know if he's getting cold feet or what. I tried doing a couple of dietbets. I think it wold be a good addition to weight watchers. Basically you put in $25-30 and bet that you will loose 4% of your weight in 28 days. You can follow your own program, it's not a set diet per say. If you win you get part of the pot! It really helped me shed a few pounds for the summer. I didn't reach my goal by two pounds! but I've been able to maintain what I've lost and working on those last two. anyways, here is the website and you can join games that are probably starting in the next few days www.dietbetter.com

Best Ways To Prevent Sunburn?
TinkerSofi replied to TinkerSofi's topic in Destination Wedding Articles
yeah, i'm thinking of going enough so that I get a little bit of color but not necessarily tanned. I find it really helps when you have a base. I also got one of those SPF shirts to wear while i'm in the ocean. The hardest part is always avoiding burning the face! -
6 hours is awesome! i only wish I could but we need to cut it at 11:00 pm. Honestly, who stops partying at 11:00? Anyways, I'm thinking of seeing if we can arrange transportation to downtown to continue the party for those that want to. It's too bad because was really looking forward to dancing in my dress until 3:00 am . Maybe I'll still take my veil haha. I just don't want it to feel like any other night out.

@@Vickiw89 yeah, I filled out the form online and sent it myself linking it to my TA. Then I got a confirmation right away saying that they'll let me know once everything is confirmed and then sent me an e-mail a few days later with all the info. Now, i'm freaking out a little bit, aside from the food issue, which I already emailed my coordinator about, I asked for my reception to be at the Sky Deck just as my ceremony and she said she's waiting for confirmation from the hotel, this was about 3 weeks ago. I reminded her again last week and she said she's still waiting on confirmation but it shouldn't be a problem. Should I take her word for it? or bug her about it again in a week or so?

@@Vickiw89 that is crazy! where did you find that one? Something seems off because how can the BBQ deluxe be cheaper than the petit gourmet even though it has more food? I was going by the one that my wedding coordinator sent. right? at $50 per plate it honestly costs me less to have a wedding at home. It's ridiculous. I went back to the link of the brochure that my coordinator sent me when we put our deposit and the price for the petit gourmet that we chose is still $22. This was less than a month ago in the first few days of June. Darn, I was thinking of upgrading to the BBQ deluxe for a few more bucks per person but I guess now I'll see whether they would honor the prices of the brochure they sent me or not. On a side note, the brochure I have says prices are for 2013, and the one Vicki has says 2014. @@Vickiw89 don't freak out yet, they might honor the prices that they had when you put down the $200. I swear sometimes they think money grows on trees over here. I got an e-mail on Friday saying that the natural flowers for the vintage elegance cake were $85, for 6 freaking flowers! I'm paying $100 for my bouquet to give you an idea. I tried to clarify just to make sure because it seems a bit unreal.

Wedding Dress Prices?
TinkerSofi replied to gkashmira's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
yeah, I was there this last month and I didn't feel rushed at all. On the contrary, I felt a bit bad that I didn't buy from them because they were so nice. I'll probably go back for bridesmaid dresses though. They seem to have a nice selection -

they're really awesome there! I don't know what some of the bad reviews on google were talking about. I had also gone to another store before that one, Jessica and Belle Rykiss, and they were great too! Their prices were really good as well. I just happened to find my dress at Blissful -
Are Engagement Pictures Really Necessary?
TinkerSofi replied to TinkerSofi's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I don't regret my decision of not having any engagement pics. Our website is now live and we used some pictures that we had from over the years. Yes, they don't look professional but I don't really care. Now that we are starting to make payments for a whole bunch of things I'm glad we didn't spend the money on engagement pics. We wouldn't have had them done by the photographer who is doing our wedding and they would have been fun, but the local photographers we checked out were charging around $500 for engagement sessions. We just thought those $500 were better spent on video of the wedding or on the reception, which will actually make a difference since no one will remember our wedding by the save the dates or our website. We ended up using an e-mail save the date that our TA put together for us. It just had the picture of a beach and a wedding gazebo. I guess it depends on your vision for your save the dates but if you are trying to save money, are they really worth putting the money into? -
First wedding item you purchased
TinkerSofi replied to PaulaV's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I agree, first it was the moment we booked our hotel that I was like "wow, this is happening". Then after I chose my dress I realized that's how I would walk down the aisle and it hit me again haha -

Wedding Dress Prices?
TinkerSofi replied to gkashmira's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
@@kmk2016 go to Blissful Bridal. It's right by Cactus Club on MacLeod, in the same little shopping strip. They have a ton of really nice dresses and their prices are unbelievable. I went there on a Saturday without an appointment. I waited about 15 min until a room became available. We looked around during that time and pulled out the dresses I wanted to try on. The lady there (the owner) was super nice with me and she was actually the one that found me that dress! I was looking into very different ones. They cleaned the dress for me for free because it was a sample and it was ready within two weeks. I have it home already . I'll go back there for alterations when I'm closer to the date. One of my best friends also got her dress there when she got married a couple of years ago. That's how I found out about it. -
true! It would be really too bad because the fiance really wanted a DW because of the unpredictable weather where we live. We bought insurance anyway and asked people to do the same. I'm really hoping that luck will be on our side, crossing fingers. At this point I guess it's not useful to worry when we're so far away from the date. Always easier said than done! haha

Wedding Dress Prices?
TinkerSofi replied to gkashmira's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
@@acw271011 thanks! I was shocked about the price because of all the beading and all the work on it, so definitely shop around. I live in Canada too, in Calgary, which is even more expensive than Toronto. Maybe try smaller stores. That's where I found mine. The larger stores I went to weren't showing me much for my budget . -
After a year and a half of planning we finally booked our date for Aug 13, 2015. We chose August because it's a time of the year when most of my friends can have off and also because it was easier to go to a super nice hotel for a bit less. Now I'm second guessing myself that it will be too hot, I'm afraid of hurricanes, etc. I really need to stop with the over thinking and second-guessing. I just need someone to tell me that it will all be ok haha.
