I finally got a chance to get some pictures of the camera. This is what it looks like without any mount or the waterproof casing. I used a Magic Mouse from apple for size reference. This is what it looks like with the headband mount without the waterproof casing. This is with the waterproof casing And this is with the flat mount I was telling you guys about that you can easily put it on a table. Now I would try to get one like this that would work without the waterproof casing. Othwerwise you definitely will not be able to hear anything. I'm trying to fix my iPhoto to see if I can upload one of the videos we took. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sunglasses For Oot Bags?
TinkerSofi replied to TinkerSofi's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
They're here! I have to say for the price I'm pretty impressed. Here are a couple of pictures. Some of them are printed in white and some in black [emoji16]. So excited to see people with these!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I had to fight tooth and nail for some kids stuff haha. My fiance was like "whatever, they're kids, they'll have fun anyway on the beach". I wanted to put some coloring books and beach balls, maybe some sand toys. He didn't grow up by the beach, whereas I did, so he doesn't know that while the beach is pretty fun, it's also nice to have things to play with. We settled with just the beach balls. There's only 2 kids at our wedding so I don't even know why he was so pig headed about it hahah . I'll probably sneak in some sand toys if they fit in the luggage

What's your first dance song?

I totally had a double take too hahha. Then I remembered that was the actual name of the song haha -
What's your first dance song?
TinkerSofi replied to DRbride's topic in Wedding Music & Entertainment
I'm totally obsessed with that song. Ours hasn't changed but I'm definitely playing this one during the reception. We have a lot of couples and some of my friends said they'd love to dance to it -
@@nadiakat17 you're right! there is a bike mount so you might be able to use that on a chair, or a flat "helmet" mount and put it on the altar (ps: is it called an altar if it's not a church? I don't know haha). Sorry guys I had a super long day yesterday and didn't get a chance to take pictures of mine. I'll try and do that today. We take ours down to Mexico every time we go so we're going to have it, we might as well use it for the wedding . I don't think we'll buy the go pro now as we have too many expenses and we already have a similar camera, but for those who can spend the money and who will actually use it later I suggest you get a go pro. There are pros and cons to each, we chose ours because it has better quality when there's not a lot of light and the color of the video is more vibrant, but the downside is the amount of mounts. I should check and see if they've come up with any new ones. I'm not sure the difference between the 3 and 4. I know that with the most expensive one you can control it via wi-fi with your phone. The sony actioncam, the one we have, has an app too so when we're not in water we use that to control it. That way you can actually see what you're filming and make sure the angle is right.

Keep in mind most of your guests are not expecting anything. I'd be happy with anything I get so I think you're good. Funny story, I had a long list of possible items until we sat down with the fiance and talked about it, he axed my list to 7 items hahah. We're budgeting about $300-400 for these. I think it's more the thought that counts and it's a way of saying thank you for coming

Sunglasses For Oot Bags?
TinkerSofi replied to TinkerSofi's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
@@marinah84 they look good! Apparently ours have already been shipped. Do these people work 24/7? I don't know. Now I'm scared they'll look like crap hahah. I'll update as soon as I get them!! -
the go pro has the chest mount so that would be good. There's no way I'm wearing a headband with a camera on it hahah and I think my fiance would look pretty ridiculous too. I like the idea of the officiant wearing it, because then you see both the bride and the groom

@@Kelly1331 How about sending an e-mail to the general planning e-mail. I think someone posted it a few pages back or on the azul sensatori page. I've also had a very good response from their online chat, you can get the general planning email. I haven't emailed Brigitte since like september or october. Am I underplanning? I feel like everything she can take care of is pretty much done. I just have to decide how I'm going about hair and makeup. I know I'm getting it done at the resort but not sure what time, etc.

We have a sony action cam and if you're going to use it later I suggest you spend the money and get the go pro. We decided to get a cheaper action cam but it turns out sony doesn't have as many mounts, which kind of limits the possibilities. We use it quite a bit when we go snorkeling or snowboarding, and we want to learn how to scuba dive so that will be another chance to use it . Another thing to keep in mind is that usually when you use the waterproof casing the sound is a bit blocked out because the casing has to cover the microphone as well. I don't know if I'd risk going to the beach with it out of the waterproof casing. I'm not sure how good the mounts are for the go pro without its casing. The sony one has a casing that is not waterproof and can still be used with their mounts . The sound is good when using that mount. I'll try taking some pictures after work to show you.

Sunglasses For Oot Bags?
TinkerSofi replied to TinkerSofi's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
@@rachelia160 I wish amazon.ca had as many great things. Amazon.com has tons of things I could use, not just for the wedding, but many of their stores don't ship to Canada, which is a bummer. -
Sunglasses For Oot Bags?
TinkerSofi replied to TinkerSofi's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Well, when I told my fiance about them he was on board right away, just like I predicted haha. So we actually ordered them . I'll take some pictures when they get here. We went with personalized ones so we wrote our names and the date of our wedding. We also got them as favors for our other reception in Argentina. They'll all have our original wedding date but I think that's ok, even if the people in Argentina will get them later. We bought 115 glasses and paid $1.26 each. Not bad at all. I lost my original Ray Bans in the ocean, and then another cheap pair the year after that. I guess I never learn. I still miss my ray bans but at least I learned my lesson to keep my expensive things at home or in the room at least. -
Exactly! once you factor in the trips it really is just as much or more expensive

Sunglasses For Oot Bags?
TinkerSofi replied to TinkerSofi's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Thanks everyone! I think it's time to ask the fiance about his opinion. He was never crazy about the tumblers to begin with so I think he'll choose the sunglasses. I agree that it looks like a lot of fun on pictures to have a bunch of different colors and on that website you can choose different colors for the same order, which is a lot of fun. The fiance will have the last vote, but I'm pretty sure which way he's going to sway -
@@nadiakat17 I think that's a great approach. It really peeves me when people think a DW is so chill and there's no planning involved. Yes, the planning is a bit easier, but it's made more stressful by the fact that you can't see things in person. There's also the myth that they're pretty much free, which is definitely not the case! I always tell people, DW can be as much as a local wedding, but since you don't have as many guests, usually it comes to being a bit cheaper.

Our printers weren't good enough so we sent them to staples. Mind you, ours had a colored background so you could easily tell that it was printed on a personal printer. Given that yours only have colored lettering, it might be another story. I think we paid around $17-$20 for 25 pages. They also cut them out from the pages and we cut the rounded corners with a puncher. I was happy with their job.

Registry - Interesting Question
TinkerSofi replied to SusanMarie813's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
@@SusanMarie813 It can really go both ways, some brides really struggle to get people to book and others get pretty much everyone who was invited. It's really hard to know before hand, although with that many guests I don't think you'll have much trouble to get a nicely sized wedding. Let's hope not everyone says yes! -
I was going to put tumblers in my OOT bags but now decided to explore other options. I thought about doing fun sunglasses for everyone. I found this website where the glasses seem of pretty decent quality. I don't expect the same quality as the originals, but I do want them to have UV protection. We can also personalize them if we want to! I was super excited, until I read a post on weddingbee.com with people saying that they only use expensive sunglasses, etc. I don't expect people to keep wearing them after the wedding, but personally I lost one pair of really nice sunglasses when I was just chilling in the water (like waist deep, nothing crazy) and a wave got me haha. Also, about 85% of our guests are in their 20s and another 10% in their early 30s, so I think they'll like them. I just think they'd be fun. I was wondering what you guys think? Would you appreciate them if you got them in your OOT bags? This is the website by the way https://www.logolenses.com/

Registry - Interesting Question
TinkerSofi replied to SusanMarie813's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
First off, congrats on your engagement! I agree with kmk. I'm not a big fan of mentioning the gifts or registry on the invitation, but if you have a website (which I highly recommend for a DW) you can add it on there. We are telling people that gifts are not necessary but if they would like to give us something they can either give us money or buy from a registry (not sure yet if we'll even do a registry). Basically I don't want to put people under pressure to spend even more money on our wedding. I understand that this is basically a vacation for most people, but I don't want to come across as greedy. As for the shower, I pictured my shower without gifts haha. I just want to have a good time with my guests but that's it. So if you're willing to do that, you can just ask people not to bring any gifts to the shower but he can still sort of get that experience. This is the first wedding for both of us by the way Just an FYI, people really surprised us when they started to book! We thought we'd have about 40 people max but pretty much everyone said yes and booked haha, so we have almost 50 guests. Mostly the ones that said no were my extended family in Argentina because all inclusives for them are extremely expensive. I totally get it, about the money, it goes on the most every-day expenses and it's kind of a bummer. I would do a registry and put the information on your website, but I wouldn't mention it on my invites. Let's say some people say no and still want to send you a gift, if they didn't check out the website they'll ask either you or your parents, so they'll still get the info. -
When we get free rooms you can use it for anyone's flight. So either spread the savings to everyone, or give a couple of people a free flight that they really need. For us, we're giving one for my fiance's family and another one for my friend from Argentina who otherwise would not be able to come. When I spoke to my TA she said that these "Free trips" are more like a money amount and you can use and allocate however you want. Also, different TAs can offer you different perks on different resorts, it depends on their relationship with them so shop around and see what different ones will offer you and then make a decision based on the resorts you like best and the ones you get the best perks at

Oh this really sucks and I'm sorry you have to go through it. Personally I don't think you should let it go. If it was a small matter, yeah sure, but when it comes to the friends you paid for and now they're backing out, I would absolutely let them know how disappointed I was with their flakiness. After all, it is costing you a lot of money and they could have easily stopped you from paying, saying that they still had to decide and didn't want you to take that responsibility. At this point I would be super firm with people, send them a message saying that XXX date is absolutely the last day to respond or you will just not take them into account for the wedding, given that your deadline for payments is coming up and you need a finalized number. Whoever doesn't reply and comes back after the date saying they're coming, too bad. I would say that you already paid and everything is finalized with the hotel so your hands are tied. I'm kind of passive aggressive that way, but it really pisses me off when people don't put themselves in our shoes and they don't even have the courtesy to send you a simple text message to say whether they're coming or not. I personally think it's super rude, and if they got mad at me for that it would be friends off for me. I know it's kind of radical, but for me it's not worth having "friends" who are not there for me when I need them and who obviously don't really care. I think 3 months is a realistic amount of time. I get it if people don't know a year in advance whether they can come but 3 months is not that long. Those who really want to be there will reply and will be there As a solution to the rooms booked problem, maybe you still have time to change the name on the trips. That way, if someone wants to book now, they can just pay you and switch the names on those trips. You might have to pay a fee, but it's better than losing everything.
