That's also what I'm thinking. Using the bridesmaid bouquets for the cake table and my bouquet for ours. I really like those monogram mugs from anthropology to spell out love and put little flower bouquets in there. I also have to bring a few things that break but hopefully I can either package them really well among clothes or bring them on different carry on suitcases. I just have to spread those things among different people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How To I Handle This Friend Situation
TinkerSofi replied to jeffandrobyn's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I was talking with my mom yesterday about our guests and I told her that there's this one friend who doesn't make crazy amounts of money and she just reserved her ticket for her and her boyfriend. She's actually giving him the trip for valentine's . yet we have other friends who make a lot more and they were complaining about how expensive the hotel was, etc. Then my mom said, "you know what, don't worry about those who make excuses not to come. If they don't want to go it's better that they don't because all they do after is complain and criticize." She's totally right! So I guess the point of that story is, make things clear with your friends, that she's either coming with someone or you're not paying the extra money, and if she still decides not to come it might be for the best. Then you won't have to deal with the negativity. -
I think I'm being really laid back about the whole thing, which stresses me out hahah so ironic. I don't want to overflow the place with decorations because I agree that the backdrop of the ocean is beautiful enough. I'm paying the hotel to take care of the table decorations, I just have to take care of the center pieces, which is pretty much done, just have to put them together. Now I need to focus on what our table will look like as well as the guestbook and cake tables. I'm not renting decor for last two from the hotel so I have to plan them myself. What stresses me out the most right now is the music. I have to get on that because I need lots of it! hahah OOT bags are sort of there. We only got one of the items already but we're not including much anyway.

I want to lose 2-5% body fat but I'm finding a hard time getting motivated with the diet, which is the most important part for that. It's just so hard to eat healthy when it's cold My weight is good but I want to look a bit more defined.

I think the suggestions here are right on the mark. If she still wants to come solo she could try and pay the difference? You really helped her out as much as you could but I think it's fair for you to say that you just can't pay the difference yourself because you have so many other expenses with the wedding. -
Getting Wrinkles Out Of Veil
TinkerSofi replied to nadiakat17's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I bought one to test it out but it didn't really work on anything. What brand is yours? -
I'm right there with you. I've done pretty much the same things and I also worry that i don't have enough decorations for the reception and it won't look beautiful. I guess I need to make a list and start hashing out things. I feel like I'm missing something huge and I won't know until the day of haha.

I've had the exact same ones hahah! For one , I was tripping over my dress and it wouldn't close. I had forgotten to get the alterations done and I had forgotten half my decorations at home. On another one someone tricked me into getting married with them and I was trying to get a divorce so I could get married with my fiancé hahah. We're so silly but it's funny that we all have the same dreams hahah Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Getting Wrinkles Out Of Veil
TinkerSofi replied to nadiakat17's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I'd like to know the same. I don't think it has to do with the fact that it's cheap, mine wasn't but you can tell it's been stored in a garment bag for a few months. It's looking kinda flat. -
ok that's good! Hopefully everything works out, crossing fingers here . Hahaha they are totally crazy. I had one one night in which I decided getting a half sleeve tattoo was a good idea haha (so not me at all) and then I was stressing out about what I was going to do with it for the wedding because it would look awful with my dress hahah. Nothing against half sleeves but if you knew me you'd know there's no way I'd ever get one

Sunglasses For Oot Bags?
TinkerSofi replied to TinkerSofi's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
thanks ladies. I might just convince him -
ahh, makes sense. It will be tons of fun i'm sure. Hopefully anther bride has some first hand experience with one of these trips . Perhaps I'd take something for the motion sickness before I go. My friend and I got pretty sick when we went on a catamaran cruise. Mind you, it wasn't a great tour to begin with, but just something to keep in mind

Sunglasses For Oot Bags?

@@JJCB0418 you definitely can't beat 30c!! I wold have bought them too haha. @@pykx82 I would have done both if we had the budget but we don't so we're keeping our OOT bags extremely small. Once everything was said and done, including the shipping and taxes, they came to about the same as the tumblers. Maybe a little less because I still would have had to order labels for the tumblers. It's just a little something for people to have fun with. Fiance is totally set on not buying any first aid items, even though I read they're the most useful but we'll see what happens. Maybe I can convince him if I find a sweet deal on some items at costco or something -
Well congrats on being married!! we actually just booked our officiant haha. It sucks about your sister's boyfriend but it's really not your problem at this point. You have a 100 things you could be (and probably are) worrying or stressing out about so you really don't need this as well. It is really too bad but the second you book a trip you check whether your passport and papers are in check. He knew he had to renew it when they booked and perhaps he shouldn't have left it until the last minute. Just try to relax and hope for the best, don't stress out about things you cannot control. Talking about nightmares, I dreamed the other day that it rained on our wedding so it had to be moved inside. I was so upset! aha. Then in the dream, I could rewind time to give the weather a second chance, and it rained again! hahah. I woke up super stressed to say the least.

I think that's a great idea just to make things clear. if they say "oh, no they're just coming to Mexico but we didn't expect them to go to the wedding" at least you know you're all on the same page . I honestly thought that it was common knowledge that weddings cost on a per person basis but after planning one I realized that apparently not

I think they'd let you do it but ask your WC. They seem to want to charge for everything so I'd make sure they won't charge you anything extra. Also check how much it is to "build your own" rather than paying $250 for the whole table it might be cheaper to rent out the items and make your own package sort to speak. @@pykx82 how rude of them. I'm so sick of people who think DW are free or that they are somehow any different than a regular wedding!! Ugh! hahah. I agree that you need to draw your line in the sand and be very clear with them that only the people in the invite are invited. Others can come to Mexico if they want, but they're not invited to wedding events. It is kind of an awkward situation, but it's really not your fault, it's theirs for putting you in that position that you actually have to tell them that they can't invite everyone and their grandmother too hahah. On the other hand, maybe your friend just said they'll be in Mexico but doesn't expect the extended family to attend the wedding but you might want to have the conversation anyway just so there are no surprises. A friend of mine had someone's aunt show up at the wedding, with no warning at all, so they had to scramble last minute to get her a place setting and a chair. The chair did not have a cover or anything, of course, but then they took one of the dressed chairs, leaving one of the actual guests with a spot on a table that was obviously not planned. My friend was so angry and she felt so bad for the one guest.

If I lived in the States I would have gone with Wright Travel! They have great relationships with the best resorts so you're bound go get a good deal and if nothing else at least you'll have a good experience. It's good to have a TA that has been to a lot of resorts and they can steer you into the right direction for one that will fit your needs.

Totally agree with the previous post. Don't book unless you have a GI certified travel agent, especially if you're in Canada because you basically get no perks unless you have one. here's the website to find one. I can also recommend mine if you're in Canada, she's based in Calgary but she honestly does not need to be in the same city, most of our communication is through e-mail and phone. http://www.karismahotels.com/giwcsearch

good to know! I'll probably take my dress for a quote to a bunch of different places, just to see how much I'm looking at in alterations

@@jenna32schap It's an older model to the one they have available now online. It's the one with wi-fi. It's actually one of the first models that sony came up with, so I'm sure the current one is excellent. I would recommend it. Sometimes we think we should have spent the extra money and gotten a go-pro but I went into their website the other day and they have some new mounts that could come in handy. That was really the only regret, the go-pro had a lot more variety in terms of mounts. I definitely like the quality of the picture, and the sound. I think picture-wise it's better than the go-pro, which is why we got it. I'll try again today to post some sample videos we took. I have to edit a few, it seems my fiance says inappropriate things all the time hahah (funny, but innapropriate), and some are just way too long. I was too tired for editing last night
