This is confusing me so much I feel dumb haha. Our ceremony is at 5 right now, so I should move it to 6 if I want the sun in the same position, right? Otherwise 5pm after February will be hotter than 5pm right now. @@marinah84 I thought I read that the time won't go back. Where did you read that it's only until March?

Getting Wrinkles Out Of Veil
TinkerSofi replied to nadiakat17's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
yes, I'm bringing mine in the same garment bag as the dress and putting my fiance's suit in there too . It will still need some steaming. I'm sure it will be on the flat side by the time we get there as well as the train of my dress because it's all tulle. -
Well my fiance wants a Hugo Boss suit. We really shopped around at cheaper places but he just loves the fit at Hugo Boss and I have to agree with him there . After spending so much money on a dress I will never wear again, I really couldn't say no to a suit that he will wear again. As for the groomsmen, we also don't want to make them spend a lot of money so we're thinking express dress pants in light grey, white shirts and either bow ties or regular ties. Express usually has sales where you get one pair and the other one 50% off so we're thinking of having all the boys go together so they all save some money. They also have a really nice fit and they're easy to dress up or down. They're very versatile so I'm sure the guys will wear them again after the wedding

Why Do People Make Rsvps So Difficult!
TinkerSofi replied to sbodnar4's topic in Just venting or funnies
I'm guessing she could be from Canada and/or have a chartered flight. The way it works here is that you reserve a group pricing for a certain amount of days with the airline and hotel since they're both packaged together. Then your guests have until then to put down a deposit. After the deadline you lose the group pricing and either you need to get a new one later on or people need to book trips on their own, which is usually a bit more expensive. Depending on the TA, some can already get pricing that far away.- 17 replies

When To Start Dress Shopping
TinkerSofi replied to TheBHolders's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I don't think there are any rules. I bought mine a year out because I couldn't wait anymore! haha. I wasn't planning on buying anything, just getting an idea of what fit better but I happened to stumble upon the one and it was discontinued, I bought the last one. I didn't think anyone looked at me weird, most of the consultants' concerns were around changes in weight but if your weight is pretty constant it shouldn't be a problem. I know the feeling, I felt like they wouldn't take me seriously because my wedding was so far away but it wasn't like that at all. I only had one experience like that but I think it had more to do with the general service, rather than the time of my wedding. I still have to do a few alterations but i'm planning on doing that about 3 months before. -
Why Do People Make Rsvps So Difficult!
TinkerSofi replied to sbodnar4's topic in Just venting or funnies
@@kmk2016 I agree with you. @@sbodnar4 If your save the dates did not include an RSVP date many of your guests may not be aware. We sent electronic save the dates as well and no one booked until we sent our invitations (those were paper ones), and even then, most booked in the last 2 days haha. Even if the STDs did include an RSVP deadline you'd be surprised how many people do not read the save the dates! or the invites for that matter haha. I would send the invites as soon as you can and then follow up with people about 2 weeks before the deadline, especially for those who said they would come but are not booked at that point. Many of them were totally confused as to the process and even though we made our invites directing people to the website and spent so much time explaining everything there, we ended up talking to them and walking them through the process. Most people in our guest list have never been to a DW so this was a totally different experience for them. Another suggestion, make the info on your website in point form. That worked best for us because people just don't read hahah.- 17 replies

we're doing some white sheers draped over and a small flower arrangement on each side with blush pink and ivory roses.

Kim I'm so sorry to hear about this. It's strange because even though none of us have met you, I probably speak for many of us, it feels as though we know you. It's never easy to come to that decision, especially after being with someone for so long, but at the end of the day, if this didn't feel right it is for the best. Under no circumstances should you have to settle for someone who doesn't treat you or your family right. Don't be embarrassed. There's a saying that my fiance always says, it's in spanish so I'll do my best to translate it: "Better blushed for a little while than for the rest of your life". So it might not feel like the greatest time right now, but props to you for following your instincts and sticking with it, no matter how hard it might be at the moment I hope for the best and please stick around! we value in these forums!!

That's great for the ladies looking for a more private beach location We're working with LaurieLee Rosser from Calgary. this is her website http://laurielee.ca/ She's always been quick to respond and has done a couple of favors for us and just has been great overall. the sky deck and the pier have a fee, anything else doesn't
-
Sorry to hear that . Lomas is a total rip off. I'm trying not to use them as much as I can. It kind of offends me that they think they can charge those prices. Have you looked at the Royal resorts? I know the cancun one has a nice gazebo that faces the beach. Not exactly a pier, but it might be worth looking at. When we were checking out hotels we liked Gran Caribe Real (it used to be their sister hotel) and the package prices were more reasonable than the Karisma ones, especially for a few people. They had a renewal package actually which might work for you. It's also an adults only hotel.

Oot Cups
TinkerSofi replied to StaceyMarieHughes's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I think if you have the budget, go with bubba cups. Not only do they keep things cool for longer, but they also last forever so your guests will have them for years to come. Another good option is tervis cups. I have a bottle from them and surprisingly it keeps my water quite cool during hot yoga (now this is super hot, dripping sweat in 30 seconds yoga). I'm not sure how the prices compare to bubba's. They're not as good insulators as Bubba's, but if they're cheaper I would certainly consider them. Last time I heard you can get 4 in one pack, which makes it more economical. They also have tons of fun designs I just got one of those double wall cups from starbucks from Christmas. I love it, but they hold the temperature of the drinks for far less amount of time than the two above. If I was a guest and got a double walled cup i'd be stoked, but i'd have to drink faster . It still beats the small plastic cups you get from the bar and that's the whole point of the OOT cups. Also, out of the 3 I mentioned you can find them for cheaper and they're probably the easiest to carry down there. I really think it comes down to your budget and your "must haves" for the cups. Whichever one you choose I'm sure your guests will be thankful and will be happy to use them . I know I would be! -
Our Disney Engagement!
TinkerSofi replied to rachelia160's topic in Share your Wedding & Engagement Stories!
aww that movie will just always be special to you both Talking about beauty and the beast. When I was a kid I used to play the song and then ask my dad to dance with me like on beauty and the beast, so he actually wants to dance to that song for our father/daughter song. I don't even know how I'm going to keep it together *crying emoticon* hahah. -

Legal Marriage At Home
TinkerSofi replied to LauraM's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
We're having ours at my house. Hopefully in my backyard if weather permits. If you don't have witnesses your officiant can sometimes provide them for you for an extra fee. I know it sounds weird but if all you want is to sign the papers it might be an option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

How To I Handle This Friend Situation
TinkerSofi replied to jeffandrobyn's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
It's really sad but while I really tried looking at some of these people the same I feel like something has broken in our relationship. Too bad really but I guess it is true that this is how you find out who is going to be there for you. If they can't be there for one of the best moments of your life how can you expect them to be there when things get rough. Of course, I'm only talking about those who make so much drama about coming. Try doing some hiit training 3 or 4 times a week. You'd be surprised how fast results show. I like this website for free workouts www.bodyrock.tv or Zgym (that one is something like $25 for 3 mont Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
