@@Ydolem it is! it's on page 801 of this thread -
Yes it worked! I just didn't want to leave a comment there because I didn't want to feel like I was prying on your Facebook haha (I know this sounds odd) Oh well. It's hard to imagine how certain things will work out over there under different circumstances and weather but the important thing is that you had a blast and so did everyone else Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Great pictures! I have to say, for someone who thinks she looks bad posing for pictures I think you did really well! haha. It was so exciting seeing some of the things you had posted here in the actual event all put together. I think you're bound to be sweaty after a party in Mexico! I don't even want to know what August will be like for us hahah
-
it's stupid, but I'm trying to focus on the fact that the interest rate for our mortgage will be lower, which ends up being more money in the end haha. yay! I guess you can't have everything
-
At least our planning website says the prices with USD beside it . I've accepted it now and will have to just account for that when making different decisions Loving the new profile pic by the way

It seems that you're doing great with the savings so far
-
I totally get you! We're sort of in the same position. Juan is still a student and will start working part time next month and full time in May, we just bought a house so basically all of my savings were put towards that. We might have to end up putting a thousand or two on my line of credit to pay off the wedding and just pay that off slowly after we come back. The main thing is setting a budget and really trying your hardest not to go over that. You might have to make sacrifices that don't feel great right now, but it will feel great to be debt free when you come back! . Are your trips refundable at all? I don't know if you're working with a travel agent but they can help out a lot. We paid about the same for our trips and from what I heard Jamaica is a bit more expensive than Mexico so you might be paying the average. I don't know if it's too late, but maybe talk with a travel agent and see if there is anything cheaper out there that you would still like, consider maybe changing location if possible. Of course, if your trips are non refundable, you might have to make the choice as to whether losing your deposit will save you a greater amount of money in the long run. The biggest thing to keep costs down is having less guests. How many were you thinking of having? Is there any way that list can be cut down? As for the invitations, there are some really nice ones you can buy online that are not very expensive. Another option could be sending electronic ones. Make the use of one of those free websites to communicate most of the information and keep the invites simple. Don't worry about welcome gifts. Most people don't expect them so just do as much as the budget allows. I wouldn't be offended if I don't get anything when I go to a DW. It's nice if you get something, but not the end of the world if you don't

Good to know! Thanks girls. Yeah, she's in school, I figured that she would be less busy now that the semester just started but I guess not and I don't want to wait until May when she's totally done. I just don't want to be cutting it too close because yeah, alterations might need to be done, and I might have to send one dress to Colombia and one to Argentina for a couple of the girls to their dresses altered over there before the wedding. That could take another 2-3 weeks :S. The wedding is still over 6 months out but time kind of flies. I can always go with my future sister in law and we'll pick hers, her sister's and my Argentinean friend's. Then I can go with my MOH to pick hers when she has time. If push comes to shove I'll just pick the dress myself and too bad, although I doubt it will come to that (hopefully haha).

How Many Days Before Are You Arriving?
TinkerSofi replied to MissFrench's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
We arrive on sunday and the wedding is on thursday. I'm not sure if this is a good or a bad thing. My main concern is trying to to burn in all those days :S -
Hi everyone! I'm wondering if anyone knows the average time that bridesmaids dresses take to come in? I want to make sure I have enough time for mine to make it, but going shopping with my MOH is turning out to be like pulling teeth. I don't get it, I'm even paying for it pretty much . Maybe I'm just being paranoid and she actually has legitimate reasons to be unable to make it every time I ask, but it gets a bit discouraging. Anyway, rant done, I just don't want to leave it until too late!

Anyone Using Myfitnesspal To Get Fit For Their Wedding?
TinkerSofi replied to Meandhim's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I haven't been using it, mostly due to laziness, but when I was I found that I lost the weight I wanted pretty quickly. I should pick it up again. I also want to get a fitbit to help me out . I find it really difficult to eat healthy in winter. The last thing I want to eat are veggies and fruit . Best of luck! I'll let you know if I start using it again, maybe I should go get that fitbit today -
That dress is gorgeous, but yeah, I wanted to stay away from shiny fabrics for the beach. They look like they're way too hot . I can't wait to see how everything goes together. I'm so scared that I'm going to look ugly in all my pictures hahaha I find guys are all about practicality. If you can tell them a use for something, they're more likely to agree to it (at least mine is). I find it kinda fascinating how men are so oblivious to weddings. Sometimes I complain that everything is a fight, but sometimes he does help me see that I'm being totally irrational about something super expensive that in the end won't make a difference. Other things, I just won't let go, like the photos.
-
you know mine was the same! (am I surprised? no haha) I barely got him to agreed to buy 4 hours of pictures. He was like, 1 hour is plenty haha. We weren't going to get video but then I found some old videos from when my brother and I were kids and they're priceless. Mind you, kids are more fun than adults haha, but it's so nice to be able to look back and see what you looked like, how you acted and sometimes be able to see and remember people who are no longer with you. When he saw the videos he said that he wished he also had something similar from when he was a kid, and we decided our wedding was something we needed to have video of. We ended up splitting our photography budget in two, which meant no TTD

Rsvps - How Long?
TinkerSofi replied to jeffandrobyn's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
That last day or two [emoji19][emoji20]. Some never came in but people booked their trip so I just went in the website and rsvpd them myself haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I thought I was the only one that cries when they're mad! Haha people don't understand that reaction at all until I tell them "well I either punch someone or cry, so I choose cry" haha. With that said, I never cried getting my Brazilian done. It's definitely not fun but it honestly takes like 10 minutes and you're out of there. The first time is really awkward too. The first time I got it done I was surprised that it hurt less than I had imagined! I'd say you start with other parts of your body and then move up. If you can handle waxing the hair around your ankles and shins you'll be fine . I find that's the most painful for me. Also try simple bikini before you go Brazilian to give it a shot and see if you can handle the pain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

@@JenniferH114 I like both dresses, it might be a little dressier than some but I think it still fits a DW perfectly . I also started shopping for something very "beachy", but wen i tried on the more formal dresses I knew I needed to go that route . Maybe I should think of a short back up dress because I know I'm going to absolutely cook in mine but I want to suck it up because I just love it that much! I saw one today as part of david's bridal new spring collection and it was beautiful, but close to $1000 :S. PS love those glitter shoes and the hair flower!
