vistaprint is just awesome, you can use their products for so many uses! I'm a bit of a stationery freak. If I had the money I would have gone for really fancy invites but I understand people don't get stationery like I do so I thought it would have been a waste of money . I just got an invite for a friend's wedding, he and his fiance made them through vistaprint. They were fairly simple, matte paper, but definitely more than what I needed to just go into their website, RSVP and save the date in my calendar Anyway, if they offer free samples that's a great way to make sure you're ordering what you want

Yeah i'm glad he didn't tear it all the way. The physiotherapist told him that it could happen randomly to anybody, so it's just bad luck. I'm surprised he wasn't in more pain. He had a limp and was barely able to put his foot down but he was able to get around without crutches in the first few days. Maybe he just has in insanely high pain threshold haha. It will be a challenging few months, it's on his right leg, which means he can't drive so it's driving him nuts already that we have to drive him around haha, and it definitely takes more planning on all our parts. I can't claim full credit for these cards. I knew I wanted something different but the ladies here helped me out and gave me the ideas , and pinterest too haha. It's kind of funny, I posted here that I ordered them and then my friend came over and they were at the door! haha. They turned out really well . I thought they would take much longer since I paid for the cheapest shipping I could haha. Oh that sucks! So his wound is still open? I have a pilonidal cyst and sometimes it does that where it opens up and drains and then it closes back up, so maybe it's the same thing? After 3 surgeries on that sucker I was done haha. Hopefully this heals nicely for him, without any chronic pain or anything like that They came out really well! I'll post a picture of the back tomorrow when I get a chance. It's not "wow" but at this point I'm like whatever haha. I just didn't want to leave it blank

he tore it playing soccer. He was just running and 5 minutes in he said he feels and hears this crack and just pain. He thought maybe he had sprained something but when he told me he heard a crack I was like "oh, no, that sounds like a torn tendon". Anyway he waited a couple of days and then went to physio and they told him he had to go to the hospital. I don't think it's fully torn which is good! because he won't need surgery. They told him that surgery might be a bit risky actually. I'm crossing fingers that everything will be relatively well by the time the wedding comes around. I want him to enjoy himself over there and not have to worry about putting on and taking off a boot, but we'll see how things progress .

I feel so bad because I feel like I've been slacking with my planning but pretty much everything is done! Aside from a few things, we're pretty much set to go! Today on the to do list is organizing things we have to bring down to Mexico to get the reality check of how much extra luggage we're going to need. edit: at least that stuff that doesn't require money is pretty much done haha. I still have to get the bridesmaids a little something and do the whole photobooth thing . I'm kind of excited for that but for some reason I keep putting it off. I'm afraid it won't work out or something. This week I ordered the guestbook cards from Vistaprint The back is pretty simple. I didn't want to leave it blank, so after playing around with black and white vintage backgrounds and nothing working out, I put a couple of flowers that were on vistaprint and wrote "best day ever" on the same main font as the front of the card (the font that says wedding wishes for Sofia & Juan) Now for the not so great news, my dad tore his achilles tendon this week so he's in a cast now and will be for about 9 weeks. He's pretty bummed, especially because he was doing exercise to look good for the wedding, he had lost quite a bit of weigh and was going to go get his attire this weekend. After 9 weeks they can start with physio, but he might have to wear one of those boots, at least it's removable right? I just feel bad for him

yeah our deadline for deposits was exactly a year out. Then people know that this is coming up and can save up or can pay in instalments . Even then, we still had people who couldn't come because they already had other weddings, local weddings btw, so I don't think a year is too long, especially for a DW. @@ashhtayy I was wondering the same yesterday until I hit printer friendly version. Does your sky deck show up as $0? I should do the math but I'm pretty sure we're still paying for it, it might not be under sky deck necessarily. If they missed it I'm certainly not going to mention it hahah.

it's the same chain but the Grand Riviera Princess is literally next door to AF. I think Grand Sunset Princess is a bit further down or up the Mayan corridor. Hopefully your TA can work some magic. When did these changes come into effect? I know someone posted on the facebook group that they had raised her sky deck fee to $1800 but she fought for it and got it back to $1700. I'm guessing it has to do with this. Mine thankfully is still ok, but I'll keep checking .

I'm just catching up on people's threads. I'm sending you positive vibes!! I'm so sorry all this stuff is happening and I hope that everything is ok. Take it easy with the concussion and don't demand too much from your brain in the first few days. Some rest can really speed up the healing when it comes to that. I hope everything gets better soon. Juan and I haven't been having the best week either. I don't know what's up but everything is just insane and all kinds of weird things happening. Probably the full moon haha.

I love your story of how you met, it is the cutest . It's funny how sometimes we find the person of our dreams in the most unexpected moment and place When you mentioned the whole fight about when to book your wedding I can totally relate! My fiance was a full time student until a week ago, and when we booked our wedding he still had a whole year of school to go through and he didn't have a job yet. I had applied to grad school and wasn't sure if I'd be getting in, if I did, that meant that we could only get married during the summer months (there was no way we'd be getting married in high season in December!). If we didn't book at that point and I got into school we'd have to wait until next summer, which I did't want to do. We'd been engaged a year and a half at this point and I did not want to be engaged for 3 years! hahah. We still argue sometimes about the timing but I think since the wedding is so close now we're both over this disagreement and just happy to be getting married . He wanted to be more financially secure before planning the whole thing but I kept thinking that if you wait, you will always have something to wait for so you just have to do it! Anyways I can't wait to read more!

oh my goodness!! I'm so sad to hear this. I'm wondering if this will affect upcoming weddings in any way. Usually when part of a chain, the hotel has certain standards that they need to adhere to and I'm wondering if now that's out the window. I'm freaking out a little bit here too! My first reaction was, well if they are not associated with Karisma maybe they'll stop charging ridiculous prices for everything but I guess not. I don't know about you, but without any perks, plus higher prices I'd definitely start checking out other places. I'd look into the hotel next door. One of my friends is staying there for our wedding and it looks gorgeous! I have only heard good thing from this chain of hotels. They're quite a bit cheaper than AF and so are their weddings. It's called Grand Riviera Princess. Honestly had I known about this hotel before maybe I wouldn't have booked AF.

We are kind of in the same dilemma. We're actually arriving with all of our guests so that's why i'm having them somewhat prepared and then only putting one thing inside of the other and that's it. I still don't know if we will hand them out during the welcome dinner or just go around people's rooms handing them out the day we arrive. I almost feel like if i give them away the day of the welcome dinner what was the point of putting the welcome dinner on the brochure's timeline. It would be the easiest thing though.

Aww your dads gesture is so cute!! It melts my heart. My parents are the kind who would totally do that haha and I love them for it because it means the world to me [emoji171] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
your ceremony looked beautiful. I love the backdrop. I would totally get those from you if I had the money in the budget for them , they're beautiful.

I mean it sucks that the dress is now too big, but that's always the nicer side of that problem . Congrats on all the achievement and weight loss. I can't wait to see it all altered! It's crazy how the last 3 months have gone by so quickly. It's even weirder that your ticker seems to be going faster than mine hahah (if that makes any sense ). A month is literally soo close! I'm getting really excited
