  1. Hi Gresley! For us, it was process of elimination after making a few decisions. We first picked the month (April), then location (Cozumel - we are getting married onshore at Mr Sanchos) and we wanted a 4-day weekend cruise out of Florida. So I searched that criteria on all of the cruise lines and that left CCL and RCCL in the running. Then we looked at which weekend would be best for our families and that only left 2 CCL ships. We chose the Victory over the Paradise since it had an extra port instead of an extra sea day. There are so many options, but if you have any specific criteria you can narrow it down!
  2. MK71809 - I am the same way. I was going to start this week, but I let work get in the way instead of putting me first. It's sometimes hard to put ourselves first, but that's the only way this is going to work. I'm starting next Monday and trying to decide what time is best. I'm not a morning person, but I'm going to try it. If I wait until after work, then I'm likely to find a reason to "wait until tomorrow." I'm going to keep reminding myself that I am the only person that can lose this weight for me and it is up to me to find and maintain that motivation. I'm also going to take Shaylaj up on her offer to join her Facebook group. Accountability and support are two positives that can only increase my chances of succeeding. We can do it! Shaylaj - I'm sending you an email now!
  3. Hi Ladies! I thought it would be fun to start a thread for the April 2014 brides so we can check in on each other's progress over the next year. We are getting married on April 26th while on a cruise to Key West & Cozumel. We will be getting married at Mr Sanchos Beach Club while in Cozumel. So far we have booked our cruise through Carnival and the wedding/reception through Cozumel Wedding Planner. I'm working on our wedding website and started putting together the Save the Dates. I'm attempting the DIY Mini Passport Save the Dates. I plan to have them mailed by the end of this month so our guests have the next year to plan and save. Looking forward to hearing from other April 2014 brides!
  4. Hi Ladies! I'm having a hard time deciding on which dining time to choose for our wedding cruise. We are on a 4-day cruise on Carnival and we can do Early (6:15pm), Late (8:00pm) or Your Time (anytime between 5:45 and 9:30pm). We usually choose Your Time since my fiancé is not a huge fan of eating in the Main Dining Room. We generally only go once on Elegant night. With our friends and family being on this cruise with us, I think it would be nice if we had a set dining time to get the group together each night since we will be doing our own thing each day (except for the day we are getting married in Cozumel). Then it comes down to choosing Early or Late. With a wide range of ages, I don't know which one would work best for the majority. For any past brides, which did you use and how did it turn out? For future brides, which did you choose?
  5. Good luck with your planning as well! I'm just a month before you. Looking forward to reading how your planning comes together over the next year! I feel like it is so far away, but still so much to do!

  12. I say it's most definitely a destination wedding since it is outside of the city you live in! So congrats and happy planning! There are sooo many great ideas on this forum!
  13. Congratulations! That's great that you will be able to help guests with the rates! Happy planning!
  14. Congrats and welcome to the forum!! I feel the same way about getting the families together for a vacation. That's the #1 reason we chose the destination wedding! Good luck with your planning!
  15. I just received my Insanity shipment today so I will be starting on Monday! Scared and excited at the same time! Can't wait to share my progress! Hoping to lose 20-25lbs over the next year and keep it off!
  16. We're planning a destination wedding because we wanted something different. I've always wanted to take a large group/family vacation, but it's been hard to get everyone together. A wedding is the perfect reason! Most of our guests live in Florida so cruising was the easiest option, plus it's our favorite kind of vacation! I was also hoping to keep the guest list small, but future hubby keeps adding to it!
  17. Hello! Welcome to the forum! It's never too early to start planning!
  18. Oh wow! I wasn't going to do programs, but I really like these fan programs. Adding them back to the list!
  19. I agree! It is your day, wear what you want! I went to a vow renewal several years ago and it was very similar to a wedding. It was incredible! She had a beautiful ivory gown, formal reception, favors, guest book, everything! The only differences were the vows and she had her children walk her down the aisle.
  20. I loved seeing all the rings in this thread! Beautiful rings, ladies! Adding mine to the collection!
