  1. Thanks Tara, I am using a wedding coordinator here instead of directly with the resort. I'm not positive that this is for the best, I think it may be easier to go directly through the resort myself. But mostly I find on here the easiest way to get answers lol! Im getting married January 23, 2014, when are you getting married?
  2. Thanks Jen! I will look them up! I had found a Mexican vendor that does them but I will have a look and compare prices! I was also curious of set up fees but haven't got around to asking yet so pls let me know what you hear! hopefully its not nuts, but I have heard depending on your WC the price may change! Maybe you can answer another question I have regarding photography package A and what it includes. Like how long are they there and what shots do they take. Is it just the ceremony and then you add on to get group shots ect?
  3. Does anyone know what the included Photography Package A Includes? Mostly Im curious about how long they are with you and if you get more than just ceremony shots. I have a list of add ons but Im not entirely sure of what I will need to add on since i dont know what is included. Thanks
  4. Thank you Coco! Another question for you! All of the Buffet options I have say for up to 50 ppl. What do they make you do when you are over 50? then do you have to pay for plated dinner? Thanks

I'm looking to maybe order some Papel Picado to string up instead of paper lanterns and just need a rough idea of how much i would need!

  8. HI, I was looking for some advice. It looks like I need to think about choosing my reception location and its so hard! Tucan and Venato Terrace say they can do 60-80 ppl for buffet reception however in the pictures it looks like 4-5 tables and the buffet and it is full. I will be having 53 guests so 9 tables and obviously i would like dancing so room for a dance floor. Where would you guys suggest would be the best spot for that many ppl? not too large that we look silly but I defiantly want a space to mingle and party. I had originally wanted something like the Caribbean Terrace but not sure I'm alright with the extra 12$pp set up fee, its already costing me soooo much. And it seems like it may be a tad large! Thanks for any advice!

It seems for both of these most people seem to go with an outside vendor. Has any one chosen to go with the resorts options and have you heard any reviews about them good or bad? Thanks!

I haven’t quite had a chance to read over all of the 2012 and 2013 forum yet but I’m wondering mostly about the photography package that comes with the wedding package and the DJ that the resort offers.   12. Ashley, sounds like we are thinking the exact same thing! I'm just not sure if you want to add decor do you have to bring your own or can you add stuff from the collections? But yes spending that much for a short ceremony seems silly, I'm thinking I will put that money into making the reception way more fun and pretty! I think the wedding date right now is January 27 so we will just miss you.
  13. Hi ladies, I finally confirmed my wedding for January 2014. Now they say i need to decide on what wedding pacake I want. I think Ive read on here that you cant change any thing about the Colin Cowie collections, is that true? How about adding some of the decor to the free wedding package? I like the exotic peacock but i feel like for me its a bit much, I love the pure but think its silly that it cost so much more because you get three tables, which I dont want. Or I guess there is the option of outside vendors for decorations but That sounds very expensive! Thanks for any help!
  14. Ok sorry for the confusing posts, what I am looking for is information on the sit down dinner, buffet or plated option, I have not found this information anywhere! I am a picky eater so it is kind of important to me! I am waiting back on a quote from my travel agent so fingers crossed that the price is right because I really want Moon Palace to be my wedding destination!!!!

  16. Hi, I’m thinking of choosing the Now Jade for my destination in January 2014. The biggest thing that I don’t like is the food. I am fairly picky but even my family who aren’t say that is nothing on any of the wedding menus that we would eat :S Has anyone had this problem? What I had in mind was more of an evening ceremony with a cocktail party following with more of late night food stations as opposed to a sit down meal or passed d’oeuvres. Has anyone else wanted this type of reception and did you end up getting what you wanted? Choosing the resort has to be the hardest part!! Thanks so much for any help!
