Hello girls! How are your plans about yout wedding? Claire from UK, I think you are the next, right? Sorry if I am forgetting someone! I am with flu today (I am afraid tomorrow as well) so I have decided to take a look at the DIY things. I was trying to make some luggage tags but I am so terrible designing this things so a friend of mine is going to help me with this. I also want to make some labels for some things for the OOT bags.! Yes I am definetely making OOT bags. I have no idea what were these bags (thanks for explaining it Lauren!). These are somethings that I have just ordered from a website Fan for the heat Funny sunglasses and good for the UVA rays. I thought that is obviously that everybody is going to bring with themselves sunglasses I thoght this are going to be a nice touch for those people that have expensive sunglasses. So they can use this for the swimming pool, the sea, etc... Mojito lollipops! Flower hairgrips Deck of mini cards. They can use this for more relaxing moments of the day at Grand Palladium or at their return flight (it is 9hours of duration!) I want to buy as well the balsam lips with UVA protection. But there were not at that website, so I am going to check in a local store here in my city. Any ideas of what other things that I could include? -

Thanks for uploading images! I am from Spain and mi FI from Italy. Like you, before discovering BDW I did not know the OOT bags. I certainly do ones as well!! Yours is very complete as I am having doubts of what I am going to put inside! Thanks once again! Carlota

OH! Such a good idea! I am sick at home today so I think I am going to take advantage to make DIY things! The baggage tags are a great idea. My wedding is going to be small. We have 20 guests so instead of ordering to Vistaprint I am going to do it by myself at home. A good cardboard and a printer. I also love Vistaprint and I usually order things there for my business cards but here in Spain is not so cheap as I see it is from you all in the States or Canada. Thanks for the idea once again!

Thanks for your tips Jennifer! In fact I have bought a gown ver y fresh for being August. The pity is that my ceremony is at 4pm.... not Spanish standard hours.... but it is the latest hour at our resort. Que tengas un buen dÃa!

Hello girls! I have just read this at TripAdvisor and I did presume you were interested in reading it. So happy to have Vanessa as a planner! “Great resort for a wedding!†Hi, We would like to express our joy with how Vanessa (the wedding coordinator) and her team at the Grand Palladium in Akumal Mexico organized our wedding day. We had narrowed our choice down to two great resorts (we had stayed at both resorts) and tried to decide which resort to attend. We met Vanessa a year before our wedding when we tried to decide which resort to use for our wedding. Vanessa was so professional and we had faith she would do an excellent job so we put our trust in her and she delivered. She did everything we asked and more with a smile. She is very organized always responded promptly to our emails and questions that we had prior to arriving in Mexico. After our arrival in Mexico she met with us and went above and beyond our expectations. Seriously we cannot say enough about how great Vanessa and her team were on our wedding day and before in preparation of that day. Guests at our wedding made comments about how great she was and that she was always there but in the background (they joked like a genie). We would recommend this resort to anyone for a wedding as it is a great resort and most of all the wedding coordinator Vanessa and her team are FANTASTIC!!!!! Thanks again Vanessa and all the members of your team, M & S Married April 2013.

Hi Lauren, Vanessa told me there are 3 options: chocolate, vainilla and mexican. The mexican is the one with 3 milks... I think all are too flavoured for eating them in August with that high temperatures... i want to ask her about the possibility to go for another flavour...

Hello Bre, I am going to have a party after dinner at Las Rocas Bar. I previously had booked La Laguna from 7 to 11pm as you. As it also sounds ridiculous to be one hour (or less) for me too, I asked Vanessa to be less time at La Laguna. So we are going to be from 7.00 to 9.30. Then we will go with the carts to Las Rocas arriving there at 9.45pm and enjoying there until midnight. Ask Vanessa for this option. Lauren, last Saturday I bought the envelops with thank sheets of paper for the tips taking as you and idea from Pinterest. What I am going to do at the end with the tips is giving Vanessa the tip to the next day. I will reach her the next morning at the wedding office. The day of the wedding I will charge my dad to give the tips and money for the cameraman and photographer. And to the made of honour the envelopes with the tips for all the waiters (7 in total for the 3 locations) and the guys driving the carts.

Hello Karen! Thanks once again for a detailed explanation. We will take the wine from a Cancun vendor so i am crossing the fingers! hahaha Thanks for the info about the music. We do not really want to pay a J if the sound system of the Palladium is good! Thanks once again! Heather, I have an outside vendor for the flowers. This is a flower shop in Playa del Carmen (Floreria Iris). I am not sure they talk English, but you could try it. The website is not very developed. I sent them all my ideas thourgh photos that I have and from Pinterest. I decided to take all my flowers with them because I am taking many arragments. I toke a lot of time writing mails to at least 20 flowershops from Cancun, Playa and even from Tulum. But the costs were the double and in some even three times more. I knew Iris because Vanessa talked me about them as they have been at the resort for other weddings. The bouquet is nornal that is expensive because it has two kinds of orchids that are more expensive than others orchids. With Iris costs 115 USD. The others flowershops asked me from 250 to 400 usd.... No way! ; )

Thanks for your opinion!!! Why the wine you did select was awful? Did you know the wine from before or you just chose one? Because we are choosing wines we alredy know so for this reason I would like to know what do you refer. Thanks a million once again!! Also for the app. But why you didnt take the cable ipod from the Palladium included on the wedding package?

Hello brides!! Mikeycelle congratulations for your wedding! You look stunning in the pics! And thanks for your review!! It is great that Vanessa was sooo efficient that was able to resolve all the little "problems"!! I am happy to have her also as my planner. It is wonderful to know Vanessa was all the time with you. A Mexican bride that got married last July told me that her planner (she had a different one) was only with her until the end of the ceremony.... For that reason, I did presume that Vanessa was going to be with me only until then but she told me at the start of this year that she is going to be with me from 11 am to 12pm (when we are going to finish all at Las Rocas Bar. So I am happy for you that everything was so beautiful! The photos say it very well!! A big congratulations again! PS. I am also having orchids for my bouquet!! It will be exactly as the pic but instead of the beige ones it will be white (and with all the flowers opened)
