Hello everybody! Just in case you are having doubts of giving some information about the destination place for the wedding with the invitations this is exactly what we do. Although Caribbean is one of the most visited places for the Spanish people, more than a half of people we were inviting was never before in Riviera Maya. So I decided to go with a DIY project for the information part. We wanted to have classic invitations so we ordered them at printing house. Here you can see some photos. This is the invitation and the back with a sealing sticker with hearts, which we love Once the people open the sticker... The invitation with all the information and above the info with the way for the presents. In Spain the typical is to open a wedding list in a store and open a bank account. People could choose what they prefer if giving you money directly to the bank account or buying presents from a list that we have selected.

Hello Vanessa, I am Spanish so my weddind day schedule is in Spanish but I got this ones yesterday from Vistaprint. I have mixed the idea of a welcome card and the schedule (the one above). In this we are thanking to our family and friends for coming from so far and that we hope they are going to enjoy as well as we are going to. Then here I suming up the events for the days at hours, like when and where we need the testimonials (our wedding is legal), we remember to remove the wristbands of all inclusive and details to get a new one the next day, the golf carts for the wedding day, etc Hope this helps you!

Sorry, I forgot to tell you other extras we have ordered. For example we wanted to have more flower arragments so this is increasing all in 600usd, plus we are having also a musical band for 350 usd, as well as the wine (the one included at the dinner we do not like, it is a cheap one, you know) so we are going for an outside vendor for this for a 800 usd considering Spanish red wine bottles, white wine from French and Moet & Chandon. The wedding dress, suit, shoes and photographer are costs that you have to pay in every part. My photographer has a cost of 1000 usd (4 hour for the wedding day and TTD the day after).

Hello Miskriss 26, Do you like to have a destination wedding at the beach or do you prefer to do it at your town? I think this is the first question you have to ask yourself. I was on vacation in 2009 at Riviera Maya at Grand Palladium Resort. There I saw the weddings and I felt in love. Since that moment I knew that I would like to have a DW. So at the end of August I started to ask information to my travel agency about the costs for travelling there (for my honeymoon and for the costs for the guests) as well as I wrote to the hotel to know the options for the wedding and costs. We are spending 2500 usd for our stay of 3 weeks there (the first for the legal part and the other 2 weeks for the honeymoon). We got a good offer for our guests for 1080 euro. THis costs includes direct flight from Madrid (Spain) and return Cancun to Madrid; stay of 7 nights (guests), all inclusive and shuttle from/to the airport/hotel. About the costs, I do not know how is in other resorts, but for example in mine you have several options. It all depends of your budget and people that is attending. My wedding is in 3 months and until this moment 20 guests are attending. I do not think is going to increase. The resort gives the option to do a cheap dinner, this is with a dinner in one of the restaurants there. This has no cost at all. Or you can go with a private reception. We have choosen this last option. For giving you an idea: -Cost for wedding package: 2400 usd -Appetizers: 350 usd - Dinner: 1250 usd - Cocktails, party and music at the beach: 150 usd Of course this depends on the amount of people you are having. For example in my resort you can have the free dinner if you have 40 people or less, if not, you have to make a private dinner. There are also cheaper ways, for example instead of making a legal wedding at Mexico, making a vow renewal package which cost the half (more or less). Suming up, I think a DW is sth you really want to do because you would love to have a wedding at the beach, in a beautiful island or in a pretty garden/beach gazebo. We wanted to have that as well as an intimate wedding. We are sorry that some closer friends are not able to come. But of course, a very good point is all that people you just see once or twice per year but you have to invite as well for several commiments... So all this people is not coming. My elder sister got married two years ago and she had to pay for 210 guests! A total ruin!! and only 40-50 people are closer friends and family. I hope I have been helpful!!

Lauren, I am taking a look now at Etsy I have just found mojito lollipops! These are flat lollipops and here is the link http://www.etsy.com/listing/62442957/mojito-lollipops-12-dozen Now that I am writing here I am going to take the opportunity to ask you all aquestion. Which kind of mosquito repellent did you bring last time you were at Grand Palladium? Mosquitos love me and they bite me a lot. Imagine there! Before traveling there, I brought a repellent special for Caribbean mosquitos at the pharmacy. It was a spray and i put it myself 3 times a day, specially during the evenings. I was the only one from my group that used it and the only one mosquitos did bite! I would like to know if you have the same problem as me and if you used there sth that was really good. Grand Palladium has more mosquitos than other resorts and the Caribbean ones are terrible!! I really suffered with their bites! I am just taking a look now some websites here from my laptop and seeing the possibility to buy another brand spray. I have seen as well a plastic bracelet that you could use at the wrist or put it at the ankle. Need your suggestions with this! ¡Gracias!

Hello Lauren! Thanks for your words. I am at home today as well and I am afraid that for the rest of the week as well as I have infecion at throat and ears! Yesterday I was looking a lot of ideas for DIY and other things to add for the wedding day. The things like the mojito lollipops I ordered thourgh a Spanish website. I write you here the url but I do not think they send things outside Spain. It is like other american websites that I have found in this website where brides are buying things. Unfortunately, this webs do not send anything to Spain. The website for the lollipops is www.airedefiesta.com They also have gin lollipops! hahaha I am curious about the table runnings you mentioned... Which material are you going to make it?

HELP!!! Sand Ceremony reading??
Carlota1981 replied to lrfriendly's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Thank you so much for writing this! I think is perfect. So beautiful. I am from Spain and my FI is Italian. The ceremony is going to be, obviously, in Spanish. So we were thinking in introducing sth in Italian and this reading is perfect. It is so romantic and in my opinion the Italian language has the most romantic sound of the world. So this part is perfect to be readed in Italian. My FI's aunt has such a beautiful voice so we are going to ask her to read it. I am sure she will love the idea!! -
Beautiful photos indeed! Could you send me your costs to this mail for a 4 hour the wedding day and 1 hour the next.day for the TTD at the same resort. [email protected]

Hello Megan!! Thanks for the nice words!! Here in Spain we are in love with the Caribbean!!! Altough until this moment I have not found anyone in this website from my country. But I know there are quite Spanish brides marrying at Mexico and Republica Dominicana. My wedding is at Grand Palladium resort at Riviera Maya. I stayed at this resort in 2009 and I saw the weddings there. Since that moment, I knew I wanted to have a destination wedding!!!! Thanks to you as well for the idea of luggage tags! I am going to make something similar! This afternoon I was here buying thourgh internet some staff for the OOT bags. I found a cheap Spanish website with loads of things. So happy for that! hahaha. Before entering at this website, I did not know what OOT bags were, and I want to have this detail with my female guests! These are somethings that I have bought some hours ago. I have to find as well the lip balsam for the UVA protection. Fan for the terrible heat! Funny sunglasses with UVA protection. They can use this instead of the "expensive" glasses during the day at pools and the sea. Mojito lollipops! I saw them and I decided to buy some ! Flower hairgrips Mini cards for relaxing moments at the resort or for their returning flight (it is a 9 hour duration flight!) Any other suggestions? ¡Un saludo!
