Thanks for the well wishes! I didn't realize the photo I posted had an error. Here is a link to a slideshow the hotel photographer put together for us. There is probably more here than you want to see, but given I can't download a photo this is the best way to share so you can see what the Garden area and terrace look like. I'm excited for your big day coming up and for you to see all the resort has to offer. We absolutely loved it! http://video214.com/play/i9j0cyF9G7uYKyGGLgLdzQ/s/dark -

I just got married at the Iberostar Cancun on Friday and it was beautiful! All of our guests loved the hotel. We had planned a beach wedding but after viewing the property determined the garden would be best for us. The view is spectacular, less windy, more private, and easier for guests than walking in the sand. We still did beach photos after the ceremony. We had a great experience with David, who is the hotel photographer. I can try post pictures when I get home if you would find that helpful. Overall, fantastic experience. Everything went great! -

The package I put together with Rosy includes my bouquet and the groom's boutonnière. We added tropical flowers for the ceremony for $350, boutonnières for our dads at $15 each and corsages for moms at $20 each. Bridesmaid bouquets are $45 each. Rosy has pictures of flowers to choose from. -

We are paying $30 per person for the cocktails and canapés that we are having set up on the terrace. The wedding will be on the beach but I didn't like the idea of food on sand, plus a change in scenery will be good. I am so comforted to hear you saw the hotel and loved it since I wasn't able to do a site visit, thank you! I will most definitely post pictures and tips I learn to help you and others out! -

We worked with a travel agent to get sample prices for various lengths of stay. The agent built a website for us with Iberostar details and sample pricing for us to share with our guests. For each booking through the agent, we get $25 off our trip. Our total for 7 nights is around $3,500 including air. A beach ceremony is possible, that's what I am doing. I'm in the same boat on packages. I didn't really think they made sense so I worked with Rosy to create what I wanted. We are doing cocktails and canapés for two hours after the ceremony and before dinner and that cost is the majority of our expense since we are doing the dinner in the steakhouse (no fee). We aren't doing a dance with a DJ, etc. I wanted things much more casual and low key. With that approach, the cost is around $7,000 and that's excluding the trip cost, but including photography. My wedding there is March 8 so I will update with things I learn in a couple weeks! -

The chief photographer at the hotel is named David. His supervisor is Carlos Fregoso and they have been very responsive. They work at the hotel through Adventure Photos. They did send me a link to view work they have done. They also sent a price list for their various options. As an example a full day coverage including getting ready through the reception is just under 15,000 pesos. Packages include a hard cover book, online slide show with music and free shipping. You can email them at [email protected] -

Our wedding will be on the beach and Rosy told me that would take 30 minutes. After that we are moving to the terrace for a cocktail/canapes reception for two hours. After the reception, we have dinner reservations for our attendees at the steakhouse when it opens at 6:30. We are using the hotel photographer. They have been great to work with and have been very responsive. The company is Vallarta Adventures. For the most part, we want things to be informal so I might not be as picky as some on the photography and flowers. I'm still nervous that everything will work out as I have it planned! We have 45 guests. 4 are not staying at the Iberostar but we were able to purchase day passes for them. At this point, everything seems to be in place but I'm still uncertain what to expect with the ceremony, reception, and dinner. If anyone has additional insight, I'd love to hear it! -

I am getting married at the Iberostar Cancun in March 2013. Equally as nervous as you are due to Rosy's slow response time and not getting a lot of clarity on details. I will report back for sure. I did find that getting my travel agent involved was really helpful for getting responses. We had to jump through a lot of hoops for making wedding payments (tons of documentation like providing color copy of credit card) so that was an inconvenience for my mom. I didn't like any of the packages so Rosy did put together an individual one for me, which seemed to work well and is comparable in cost but with the specifics I want. Does anyone have any idea what the ceremony actually entails? I can't find anything on that.
