mairelys - I've had the tapes for a few months i'm ashamed to say but I just had too much going on, but now i'm ready plus I love to dance so that should keep me interested. I also plan on joining a few live sessions when time permits. jennMC - I know a few people who have been doing it and losing the weight with a great eating plan. I've done hot yoga before and i really liked it and how it made me feel afterwards! Namaste!

Thanks Jessica and MrsShoreytobe! I'm definitely getting mentally geared to make it happen. Thankfully, i'm naturally muscular so I just need to get in gear and get this stomach and arms back in shape then tone up. Not too bad as long as I keep motivated.

I haven't started looking or trying on dresses yet, but I saw one that I fell in love with so i'll schedule some appts. soon to try that one I saw as well as other dresses on soon.

Hello all, I am trying to obtain some information regarding the wedding options at Iberostar Bavaro. I have reached out to them, but I know there is a current or previous bride out there that has some information. I am looking to get married May 2014 in a symbolic ceremony. I have a few questions for anyone that might be able to help. If I wanted to ship some items like decorations or OOT/Welcome bags, would I be able to send these to Mayte? Does anyone know if it's a hassle to ship items to the DR and if so what's the best service? Is it better to get the flowers/bouquets, etc from Mayte or through the hotel that I have the ceremony with? Anybody have a clue what types of flowers are easy to obtain in Punta Cana? I am about to get started on my fitness plan/life change. I gained weight in the last 2 years due to major job stress so i'm trying to get myself back into my healthy routine. I started yoga to help with my core, flexibility, and stress management. Then i'm introducing Zumba in the next 2 weeks. I'm trying to work my way back to doing Insanity which is nuts but I liked. lol. I have a rough road but I'm determined to lose the weight I put on in the next year. Good luck to us all on being where we want to be on the big day.

Hello all, I finally got through to Mayte today. She is a sweetheart! And i'm all set for my date. I couldn't be more relieved or happier I've been smiling all evening. First, I got great information from my TA today regarding my hotel and then now The Jellyfish.

Hi Blue! Yea, i'm realizing that this is a very very busy timeframe for her so it's been difficult to get a hold of her. I did speak to the restaurant manager yesterday, but she wasn't there at that time. I just have to be patient and wait that's all. I'm happy for you that you were able to get your timeframe reserved early. I'm sure that's a big stress reliever. I'm working with a TA that's helping me organize the group rates, but i'm pretty certain that i'll be taking a trip down at some point soon to take a look at the location to have a better feel for where i'm staying and getting married. Thanks for the advice, it's much appreciated! If you have the 2013 pricelist, would you be able to send that to me? LOL MrsShoreytobe. Welcome welcome to the notquitesomuchalush forum. Glad you like the red and purple idea. I'll definitely show my colors once I make my final decision. This forum is great and the ideas, support, and encouragement are AWESOME!!! Because really the people around you sometimes really don't have much interest in all this wedding stuff so another bride is really your best option. It also gives me an outlet to gripe, and to learn new helpful information and ideas!

Ohhhhh...i'll have to check out that thread. It might give me some innovative drink ideas...lol. The funny part to that is I do so much of that at work that I have little desire to be that indepth with things. I know it will be accurate, but i won't be spending a whole lot of time making myself nuts over the semantics... I'm hoping to enter into the government also, but we'll see what happens. I'm not sure if i'm just going to be really bold or make one color more predominant. I'm thinking I might make the lavender/purple more prominent then add the bright red pops of color. But we'll see.

LMAO!!! I talk about drinking more than I actually do drink! I always feel like I should have a drink after work, but a majority of the time I won't actually have one but then when I do decide I want one I will have one or two drinks 2 or 3 days in a row then nothing again for a while. I like anything that is sweet like a strawberry daiquiri or strawberry margarita. I've had a good pina colada, but that usually isn't my first choice. I love amaretto sours and wine like pinot grigio, moscato, reisling...i'm sure you're seeing a sweet theme here. I also like rum or hennessey with coke (one of my dad's favorites being a Jamaican...lol) My FH is with a gov't contract but i'm an accountant at a large company (CRAZY CRAZY). My degree is what i'm navigating towards because i'm tired of my crazy job...lol. I need a HUGE change. I'm glad you like my colors..i'm still trying to determine the right shades of red and purple so neither color is overpowering. I love both colors and I have a definite scheme in mind, but I just don't want it to be too dark. Your colors are hot...very vibrant and Caribbean!

Yea, it's one of my favorites too. ...i'll drink to that. Hahhhaha! I'm going to school for Global Business and Public policy...I was out of class this past semester, but it's time to get back on track! Oh I know it would have been worse had I moved then we came to that realization, but I do wish I hadn't spent so much time and money renovating at this time. I could have taken my time and renovated over time instead of rushing to finish to rent it out. But c'est la vie! It's done now. My FH technically has a better job than I do, but I make more and mine isn't a contract position. We just wanted to do what made more sense for space purposes, etc. We're going to look for another home in the next 2+ years. My colors are red and purple...theme is kind of evolving. How about you?

Great minds truly do think alike! I can't tell you how many times that I have found myself in this situation...i have a CRAZY job, and for this reason will be in yoga starting this week!!! STRESS must go!! I have a to do list, but after a long, crazy day all I want is A) a bubble bath or long hot shower a glass of wine or a frozen strawberry margarita or daiquiri C) the remote in my hand! I don't always get all 3 at the same time, but it does happen on occasion on those days where I think i'm going to end up on an episode of America's most wanted and/or bridezilla. School starts in another few weeks so i just want to be calm and as relaxed as possible so i can handle my job, school, and wedding planning...ambitious I know! Ok, so you're living my life also! Wow...my FH and I live an hour and a half apart and the renovation occurred because I was supposed to move in with him then rent my house out. Had a major reality check during the move process and we realized that trying to move me a homeowner into a non-homeowner home was ridiculous because i have WAY more stuff aka crap than him even after throwing out/donating/giving away a bunch of stuff. His lease is up in August and then we'll finally be able to see each other every day...yayeeee!!! I can't wait! I was thinking that after this season was under way there should be really great deals for us 2014 brides so i'm with you on that!
