It was through sunwing, departing from Toronto. There was some fuel surtax saving of 160/person which helped lower it a bit.

Did you ask your wc? I wonder if they would know. I'm only doing a symbolic ceremony. I feel like they should have at least replied back by now.

Oh in Canada elementary and high schools usually go around the second week in march.

Ya I managed to get mine for 1475 which is still more than I wanted people to pay but a lot lower than the other quotes I had received. The only problem with early march is that is when march break is for the public schools. Good luck and I hope you get your family to help find lower prices.

I too am getting married in Punta Cana march 22,2014 at the majestic colonial resort. I too was having trouble with quotes and this was the best a available time/price I could find in feb and march.

Hi, I just got some quotes this week for Majestic Colonial from Toronto for March 2014. The quotes I have received ranged from $1475-1800 depending on the day (cheapest was departing mid-week and not around march break). My TA said there is no competition between the companies to book this early so no one is offering deals. She also said with whatever company it was (signature maybe) every 15th person is free (just have to pay the taxes) so could knock around $100 off each person if you had 30 guests going. That does seem really high for April though... I don't know if it would be better to wait another month and see what the price does... only problem is if the weddings get booked up at the resort.

I am from Simcoe and also planning a DW for Feb 2014. The person I have been dealing with through flightcentre has been able to give quotes over a year in advance, so maybe try dealing with someone else if you are anxious to get it booked! She suggests booking early especially if you are having a large group to make sure everyone can be accomodated for and you can book your wedding for the time of day you want. Where are you planning on going?
